gaming If you could replay any game for the first time what would it be?

You know how games are so much fun the first time, but when you go back and play them again, it's so much less interesting? Obviously some games are different every time depending on your choices, but besides that. Are there any games you wish you could go back and play for the first time?

My answer is probably Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness. Seriously, that was my favorite game. I thought the story was so good, and it was so much fun playing it, but when you go back and play it again, you already know what's going to happen so it feels like the whole game is just boring dialogue you already read. It's been a while since I've played it, but I would still replay it. I'm just saying, I wish I could play it for the first time.

Hmm.. Far cry 4, after you beat it you don't do anything... My first choice would've been Majors Mask, but since it's my favorite game of all time, it's fun every time I play it!

If anyone knows me they know I'm a serious Mystery Dungeon fanatic. Played every single game in the series; loved each one. But if I had to pick which one to play again for the fist time, I'd pick the one that started it all: Explorers of the Sky

If I had a chance to experience either Zero Escape game (999 and Virtue's Last Reward) again for the first time, I would. The story of both these games blew my mind multiple times, but both have very little replayability since they're both Visual Novels.

Would love to play the Ace Attorney games for the first time again.  They hold up on subsequent playthroughs, but experiencing the mystery elements again for the first time would be fantastic.

Minecraft. Hands down. I loved the game so much, and the first few times I played it, I truly felt involved in the world. Like, having a roof over my head that I built myself during a rain storm felt satisfying on such a deep level. Exploration was great, and it was just so much fun to create projects for myself and build from nothing.

Now? I get a feeling of loneliness when playing it, and I've pretty much done everything I could be interested in doing. Almost the moment I open it up, and start a new world, I feel like I've already played through this part of the game to death. Then, I quickly lose interest. After doing that enough times, sometimes all you have to do is look at the menu screen to turn the want to build into a feeling of repetitivity.

Sucks.

I miss the newness of it all, and I have yet to find a game to capture that same joy of building. And, if I could play it over, I'd like to stick to a single, huge world, and not return repeatedly to how-to's when I get stuck, like I did originally.

An old game known as legend of dragoon. Goodness, this game had it all. An epic soundtrack, very memorable and lovable characters, beautifully rendered environments, everything. My first RPG that was also a JRPG. Now I may be wearing the nostalgia goggles for this one, but there is a reason this game was a ' Greatest Hits ' for the PS1. The combat was so very sublime and unique, and the story growing more intense, and sad.... ( Lavitz... :() really made an impact in my youth.

In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God, hovering above? At least it is true, that man has no control... Even over his own will.

um all of these.

1: Arkham Asylum.

2: Halo 3.

3: Star Wars Battlefront II.

4: Mass Effect.

5: James Bond Nightfire.

those are the five games I'd want to replay for the first time ever.

I would love to experience all the persona games for the first time again. If I had to pick one though I would have to take Persona 3.

Probably Fallout 3 or Shadow of the Colossus...

I'd love either in Oculus Rift, esp FO3. Maybe even a slight bump in VR would take it to the next level. But that feeling you get when you walk out of Vault 101 for the first time is just awesome.

In SotC, I just love the atmosphere and the fact that its ALL boss battles, and for some reason the first Colossus battle is just soooo great of a introduction to the game. I've played through twice... I LOVE IT! I really hope The Last Guardian is still on its way.

Two tough choices here.

Choice A: The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. Charming characters, lovely (although obviously cliche) story, breathtaking level designs, one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. And then, the gameplay. Gameplay which allowed you to take a break at any single point and just calmly hover over the ground, admiring the scenery.

Choice B: Star Wars: Republic Commando. One word: IMMERSION. For once a serious game which does NOT place you in the skin of those OP flashlight wielding masters, but rather in a skin of a leader of an elite clone commando strike group. Tactical elements, tough enemies, interesting operations, dozens of dialogues that sound very fitting (hq, teammates, yourself), EPIC levels (a.k.a. acclamator class ghost ship mid-level and finale, anyone?) and just as epic music.

Metal Gear Solid 4

I love the series, but this entry is were everything came together to the best video game ending I have ever seen, and the best villain conclusion ever. Not to mention it made me cry so hard at the end ;_;

If I could, I would play this like the first time, and be basically happy with life for a week XD

Probably The legend of zelda: Wind waker. It was the first game that really engrossed me with the story, the environment, and was the first game I ever completed on my own! I still replay it to this day, though nothing is ever like playing a certain game for the first time. Earthbound is a close second, such a good mix of comedy, emotional story and gameplay

If I had to replay a game again it would have to be Kya: Dark Linage. It was a nice RPG/Beat-em up style type of game. I liked mostly how the more you progress into the story the more wolfs you can beat up. It's so satisfying as well.  :D
