As most of you know, Windows 10 will be officially released later this month and users of Windows 7 - 8.1 will be given a chance to permanently upgrade to it for free for the first year.

Will you or will you not be partaking in the upgrade? I personally will at the earliest opportunity, but for those of you who decide not to at this time, I'd like to see your reasons.

I think so, yes. It's a free offer and from what i have seen in the previews, it might improve the windows experience.

I don't really see many improvements from what I'm currently using (Windows 7) that would be of interest to me. However, I'd still be interested in upgrading just to be up-to-date, but I'm concerned with compatibility issues that Windows 10 may have with some old games I have installed, so I'm sticking with 7 for now.

Hahahahahahahahaha, no.

Linux for life. The computers I have running seven will stay that way, because I have them just how I like them.

Absolutely! I have Windows 8 (Do I have to update to 8.1 first?) so it should be free for me. I have not looked into it a whole lot but some of the features look really nice, I am liking the Xbox features they are putting into it. Windows 10 seems like a great step forward.

I don't see why not, I love testing out the most bleeding edge software. Plus it's a free upgrade, I can't argue with that price tag unless Microsoft starts paying me to use their software! :P

Maybe. I honestly think Windows 7 is perfectly fine and I think I'm just gonna stick to it, unless Windown 10 has any feature I'd like. Not sure what those would be, though,  maybe and upgraded version of Paint? Idk why I'd need that, though when there are much better free programs out there, heehe,

No male pronouns, please. All other pronouns are fine. :)

Yes, minus the interface (which can be discarded) windows 8 was great and from what I understand they narrowed this issue down in the next windows

There is a TENTH VERSION?! Ugh. I don't know why I even bother. They are all the same, really. Windows just makes more versions to make more money. I was using windows seven and recently upgraded to windows eight. No difference whatsoever! Not to me, at least. NO-my-little-pony-friendship-is-magic-28

That's for next Wednesday after I turned 15 by 1 day, which means I'll soon upgrading from 8.1 to 10 on my computer/laptop as it's the latest Microsoft Windows ever this year.

I'm introduced to a new start menu including with live tiles, and Microsoft Edge as a new Internet browser that is faster than the other Internet browsers!  :D

Absolutely. I don't really know anything about it, but it's got to be better than Windows 8 (which is what I have now and the only reason I was willing to get a laptop with Windows 8 is because I'll be able to upgrade it soon). I wish I could just have Windows XP forever, though. Windows XP was awesome. :(

Actually it's only the ninth version, but Windows 95 and Windows 98 were both sometimes called Windows 9, so they call it Windows 10 to avoid confusion. That's what my dad told me.

More then likely. I skipped out on Windows 8, but 10 seems to have addressed most of the issues I had with that. Most of what I've seen from previews and opinion pieces point it in a good direction anyway. Also, Direct X12. :yay:
