movies/tv Your bestest moments at the movie theater

So, what have been some of the best, most exciting and amazing moments you've had at the movie theater, whether it was by yourself, with your family or with a friend, which experiences are among the better you've had?

For example, back when I was a kiddo and watched Toy Story 2 on a theater for the first time, it was really amazing. And last year, I went to watch Robocop 2014 in 4D. While the movie was pretty much average, the whole 4D was very nice and we had lots of fun stuff, like getting water sprayed at the face by a device in the seats and fake bullet impacts each time there were shooting scenes.

Other moments I enjoy are watching films with my good friends and family by my side, it makes the experience more memorable.

Does this count? I pegged a guy in the head with some M&Ms because he kept on talking on his cell phone. He got all mad and yelled, but didn't know where they came from. Then the theater people came and told him to be quiet or they'd ask him to leave. It was great!

(That was only a few weeks ago!)

Years ago my mother to myself, my brother, his girlfriend, and my sister to go see the movie Twilight. We'd watched the movie and then the scene where Edward Cullen says to Bella "you need to see what I look like in the sun," and approaches a beam of light in the story.

My brother and I were psyched, we were absolutely expecting that he'd enter the light and look all corpsey and disgusting. Instead, he's all sparkly. Out loud, in the middle of the theatre for everyone to hear, my brother shouts "What the hell?!" It was the most appropriate response made out loud to a stupid scene in a movie I'd ever heard.

I won tickets to a free advance screening of Independence Day at my local theatre. Being Canadian, certain scenes didn't have quite the same impact as might have been intended by the directors. The scene of the White House being destroyed comes up, and the film's soundtrack is drowned out by the audience cheering.

Went to see Braveheart along with local members of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Midway through the film, one of them gets up to go to the bathroom. He was wearing full plate armour. Everyone heard him going up the aisle, and laughed.

Saw Hard Target with friends. Wilford Brimley's first scene comes up. As he takes a healthy sip of moonshine from his still on screen, my buddy calls out "'Cause it's the right thing to do!" after his Quaker Oats commercials. Entire theatre loses it.

Saw a special screening of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I'm on the aisle seat. The "Intermission" comes up. I get up, start walking towards the lobby from my seat near the front. When the intermission abruptly and predictably ends, I make a show of running in a panic back to my seat.

1 - Seeing Guardians of the Galaxy (I had waited SO LONG for that movie and it was totally awesome!)

2 - Seeing The Revenge of the Sith when I was a kid

3 - Local theater was showing Back to the Future because of its 25 year anniversary. Friend gave me his popcorn.

Watching Shrek 2 in 4D freaked me out when I was little. What happened was me legit jumping in my seat when when it started bumpin', was more of a rush than anything I'd experienced cinema-wise up until then.

My favorite cinema experience had to be Toy Story 3, back in June 2010. Having been a massive fan of the original two for much of my life to say I was excited for this one would be an understatement. It was just after it came out too, so the whole theatre around me was packed (still I believe the most packed cinema screening I've been too). It was a great atmosphere as pretty much everyone was there for the same reason as I was.

My best moment was seeing Madagascar 3 back in 2012. That movie was very funny, especially the Afro Circus part. It made me crack up.

I was laughing so loud, that I even laughed after the movie was over.

I will share the video with you, if that is okay.

When Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 came out I burped really loud at a quiet part of the movie and everyone laughed. I didn't even mean to burp loudly too.  :yay:

In my opinion, there is no such thing as "Worst Pony". Everypony is awesome in their own way, and it is what makes them truly special. :)

My cousin dragged me to watch TFIOS. When the movie began to start, tons of girls in the theater were screaming. I was getting annoyed, but this one girl yells "shut the fuck up!" (yes, she actually said that). I started laughing hysterically because it was definitely something I was not expecting to hear.

Ah yes... It was definitely seeing Avengers AOU in 3D iMax! It was AMAZING! I ate way too much but I don't care! I'd been waiting for that film for so damn long and finally, when I saw it, I was blown away. Just... Wow. So much fun. I also saw AntMan with my friend yesterday, which was a ton of fun because there were only a few other people in there and we were laughing a ton while eating nachos. The nachos didn't last long, but the M&Ms did luckily.

Well, for exciting, I had my first kiss in a movie theater, so that's awesome XD But my local theater played the original Star Wars films on the big screen in a giant event, and when the opening text started appearing, the whole audience started to cheer :3

I don't go to the theatre very often but my best would be when I went to watch Star Wars: The Clone Wars Animated movie thingy with my Grandmother and brother. It was really loud and it felt so epic.

I remember when me and my friends once went to see some kind of horror movie and when a group of teens got seperated, a guy and a girl were together. All the guy had to do was walk out the doors of the house but right before he was about to go back to help the girl who had fallen a little ways back, someone yelled, very loud in a rather full theatre. 'Fuck her' and we all started chanting that.
