Before I ever watched the show I just started watching a bunch of clips online but I never expected to actually like the show. But that all changed one day during 9th grade when I was watching a bunch of pony clips on youtube. I noticed that I was about to be late but I decided to watch one last video; a 15 second clip of Applebloom dancing to the song "Moskau".

 

Once that was over I grabbed my things and ran out of my apartment but by the time I saw the bus stop the bus was already driving away. So I got back home and since I knew that we didn't have enough money for a taxi I decided to get back on my computer and watch more pony. At some point however I began to wonder what made the show so appealing. "How could some stupid 4chan joke end up giving birth to such a huge fandom?" So after such a long time of thinking that I could never possibly become a brony I decided to watch the first two episodes.

 

I ended up binging the whole series up until The Return of Harmony part 2. I bet if I had 15 extra seconds I would have made it to the bus that day.

it was little under 2 months ago when I one day just started watch Mlp. few days and I just noticed that I'm Brony. Still no idea how that happened.

I'm not sure if you can count me as a brony, I only watched my first episode about two weeks ago after someone made me watch an animation call "lullaby for a princess" which got me interested more in its history than the show it'self.

 

But I guess you could because iv'e watched almost every episode so far just to see if I can make any theories on it's back story.

Actually, was just when I watched a few episodes of MLP. At first I was confused, I didn't like it much at all. Was just too weird for me. Until I watch May the Best Pet Win. I don't know what I liked about it so much, probably Rainbow Dash was the reason. But that episode really grabbed my attention.. when I realized I liked.. IT. Idk what to tell you. Even though, at the time i started, i didnt even know what a brony was or that the fourth Generation was a very big success, so i just called myself Mlp Fan at first.

I was addicted when I watched my first episode. I wasn't the one who chose to watch the episode, my cousins were watching it and I didn't have any electronics on me, so I had no choice. Thinking back on it fills me with nostalgia.

It was 2011, back on a forum that no longer exists. A few of members had pony avatars, and at the time I had no idea there was a new generation of ponies. I grew up in the 90s, back when ponies looked like short, little hippos. I didn't really think anything of it, I just figured it was the new hipster cartoon that was out that all the young adults my age were in to. Eventually, I stumbled upon a PMV called "Rainbow Dash, You're Gonna Go Far Kid" and I started becoming interested. I started watching clips on YouTube, and began to really enjoy the show. By Halloween, 2011, I had watched my first episode. By then the second season had just started, so I spent a week making up for it and watching pony episodes in my dorm room after class.

My first episode was Castle-mania and I really enjoyed it (much to my surprise), but I wasn't entirely convinced that the show was for me until I'd seen a few more episodes. Then I knew I'd be in this for the long haul Two years later, here I am. And my love for the show is stronger than ever.

Some friends introduced it to me about a week after S2 ended. They weren't that into MLP, and I wasn't really thinking of watching it at the time, but we had nothing to do so we decided to watch it anyway. Best decision ever made.

i was up to season 5 and knew just about everything you need to know but i didnt consider myself a fan :/
than a friend asked me questions about the show to mock me.. i answers them all and he said "you're officially a bronie" as a mean joke
and idk.. after he said that.. its was like self realisation kinda like... holy crap...all jokes aside i am!... XP and that night i dived head first into the fandom listened to fan made music, watched fan animations, joined MLP forums and considered myself a bronie for the first time ^-^ no regrets! virginity is for cool kids anyway and now im 20% cooler :L

This was the first pony video I watched.  I saw it and wanted to watch more, but I thought to myself "that's crazy, it's a show for little girls" so I would try to stay away from videos like that.  I ended up watching a bunch more pony videos, but I still didn't want to accept that I was becoming a brony.

 

That went on for maybe a month or two, then in July of 2012 I watched the first two episodes of season 1 and I was instantly hooked.
