Last possession you broke?

Lost

I ran over my earbuds with a rolling chair. It's kind of common for me; I've done it to books, papers, earbuds, headphones, my fingers, and my toes.

This is your average, everyday annoying signature.

Are you seriously reading this?

Really?

Wow. I didn't think you'd actually waste enough time to get to the fourth line.

Or the fifth, for that matter. What, am I interesting or something?

My sister's Kindle Fire; while it's necessarily not mine, I was borrowing it. It slipped out of my hand and right onto the corner of my bed frame. Cracked the entire screen pretty much with the upper left being the worst. Thankfully it's still useable though.

My Airsoft revolver. I was disassembling it for the lulz and decided that the safety mechanism was not needed, so I reassembled it with the one piece left out. That was intentional, the last time I broke something unintentionally was when I was experimenting with my Airsoft Sig p226-x5 and I busted the safety, so it doesn't always engage properly. Despite my less than sterling record with safeties, I have a clean record for negligent discharges (unless you count that time I was experimenting with full-auto conversion...), proving the most important safety is the user's brain. I won't be mentioning any of this when I finally apply for my PAL (firearms licence).

  • 4 years later...

cappuccino foam whisk; it is round, and I accidentailly left it where it could roll out of a high window onto concrete. Now I have the bits of what used to be a whisk...

First, a moment of silence for @Lucky Bolt's dashboard. Truly sorry, Lucky. :(

As for me, and I don’t know if this counts as a ‘break,’ but I got some spray-foam insulation stuck to one of my vests and when I tried to sand it off I ripped the vest. It annoys me a bit because I love that vest; it’s made of nylon so it’s nice and light and I can carry all my junk in it without needing a purse. I might put some fray-check on it; and that should hopefully fix the problem.

Oh no I'm used to  it, in fact the entire dashboard top is missing because it cracked and shattered over the years, by no one's doing. Just old age and the sun beating down on it. I just happened to break off the last remaining piece by accident. :awwthanks:

I was scooping out some brown sugar for some muesli when the handle of my measuring cup broke(it was the half cup).  I'm still hanging onto the handle just in case I find my super glue, I know I have one somewhere but I couldn't find it in my craft bin where I left it last.  I'll find that little bugger if it's the last thing I do!  I think if I want to buy more measuring cups, I'm going to splurge and get some metal ones...  I've had three different cups break the same way, all of them are plastic.  Oooooh, maybe I should order some cute wooden ones?!?  Cutesy ceramic ones that look like mushrooms???  I'll have to investigate this new thought a bit! :Tempest:
