Asking me to pick my all time favorite video game is like asking a parent who their favorite child is. It's nearly impossible to pick just 1 game! I'll list my favorite games on each console and handheld that I played growing up and try to narrow it down from there:

  • GBC - Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
  • N64 - Super Mario 64
  • Dreamcast - Sonic Adventure
  • GBA - Fire Emblem
  • GCN - Tales of Symphonia
  • PS2 - Ratchet and Clank: Up your Arsenal
  • DS - Pokemon Soul Silver
  • Wii - Super Smash Bros Brawl
  • 3DS - Super Smash Bros for 3DS
  • Wii U - Super Smash Bros for Wii U
  • PS3 - Tales of Xillia

After much deliberation, If I had to just pick 1 I would probably have to go with Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube. I've played many single player action RPG's, but this was the 1st multiplayer action RPG that I could play with my siblings. We just had a blast going through the entire game multiple times. While some of the mechanics are outdated and archaic, Symphonia will always have a special place in my heart  :pinkie:

I feel like there's a trade-off since even if you CAN hit enemies it doesn't mean you'll do any meaningful damage. When I was playing Skyrim I consistently got killed cuz I was always underpowered. I may have also bee playing wrong by trying to play as an Argonian Mage. :P

Magic in vanilla Skyrim sucks unless you abuse the dualcast destruction stunlock bullshit. Races don't matter because they

Mod it up (personally I like the Perkus Maximus overhaul, which changes pretty much every mechanic in the game). Also, there are plenty of weapons powerful enough that even with mediocre skill you can kill stuff, especially given that you're basically swimming in potions after a few hours of regular play.

I'll defer to your judgment since I play console versions (thus no modding), have never played Morrowind and generally don't care for the series unless I'm really in the mood for it.

Spyro the dragon series, I enjoyed playing the game and also played it again. Also like Legend of Spyro series , but it didn't played it again, as it bit diffcult. Also Football Manager series on handheld was addcuited with it when it was on PSP and PSVita then stop. WOuld of play on my tablet or laptop but could slow down my tablet/laptop.

It's a toss-up really.

Dark Souls is really good, but unlike mr. Sunbro 2 posts above I don't think it's particularly difficult.

Fallout NV is probably my favorite *roleplaying* game of all time though. I get Dark Souls is technically an RPG but I don't really do much roleplaying in it.

You are right on the "roleplaying" thing and Dark Souls is not Hard (that a lie yes it is.... I mean have you even play the damn thing) it is demanding and Fallout offers the player other type of experience less demanding and more easy for you to develope

Fallout 4 here. Now before you smack me please lemme explain. :please:

As much as I like the previous installments, I am very graphics and mechanic sensitive person and those older games are too hard to look at for me today, even with 130+ mods.

(Close second is Dark Souls 2, have played that for about 500 hours on PC and an equal amount on PS3 so about 1k hours total.)

Super Metroid, hands down. Nothing comes close. It's the embodiment of everything great about the Metroid series, and overall just a perfect game in my eyes.

Pokemon Heartgold. As much as I loved Gen 5 and Pokemon Platinum, nothing will ever compare to the utter joy Heartgold brought me. From the ability to walk with your Pokemon, take pictures with them, the amazing music and Youngster Joey made this game feel so much more personal than any Pokemon game I've played since.

Hard choice, but it goes to Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

As much as I enjoyed TF2 before End of the Line, love Borderlands, remember the good old days with my DS playing the SM64 remake, and reminiscing the days I played Pokemon Diamond, Bowser's Inside Story takes the cake simply because I can hardly find anything that could have been  changed to make it better.

A toss up between Bloodborne or Ratchet and Clank: Future A Crack In Time. Bloodborne is what introduced me to the Soulsborne series, and what a hell of a ride it was.
