gaming Worst lines/quotes in video games

There are always certain lines and quotes in games that people have always remembered, not for being deep and memorable, but for being cheesy or bad, whether it be from deliver, mistranslation, or, well, just being bad. Though sometimes these lines can actually help make the game more memorable, though maybe not the was developers intended

 

One that has always stuck out in my head was from the Tales of Symphonia sequel, "Dawn of a New World", if you've played it, you'll know I'm talking about "Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality". It's just a really corny and lame line that not even Kyle Hebert could salvage.

 

Of course there's also "Where's that damn FOURTH Chaos emerald" from Shadow the Hedgehog, which, just from reading it you can tell it was a really forced attempt to make the game sound edgier

Both lines from the masterpiece known as Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, and yes It's a game... kind of.

That, or "Watch out! You're gonna crash! Ah!", the first from sonic 06 and the second from sonic Adventure 1 (which I like a lot despite its cheesiness.) I don't think I've played any other game that left in multiple takes of the same line. Especially non-shovelware.

To where the Game Grumps are playing that one horse game I noticed a really good couple of quotes that went: "[main character] she's going to be staying with us for a while. [Main villain?] I'm going to be staying with you a while"

 

 

The male character in the scene proceeds to make a Percy face and lightly hump a fence

Sonic Adventure DX had plenty of laughably bad cutscenes (and lines). It still manages to be a decent Sonic game in its own way though.

How about worst line delivery? Sly Cooper 2 (I think) had one moment where Carmelita was supposed to shout Sly's last name. I don't know why, but she didn't yell it, it was more of a projected speaking voice. Which made it just sound bad in my opinion. Especially when she is shaking her fist and looking up in the air with an angry look on her face.

Okay, this line makes zero sense. Her saying that she doesn't have time to explain why she doesn't have time to explain is completely redundant. Her saying that she doesn't have time to explain why she doesn't have time to explain creates an infinite loop. It would show that she also doesn't have time to explain why she doesn't have time to explain why she doesn't have time to explain and then she would have to explain that she doesn't have time to explain why she doesn't have time to explain why she doesn't have time to explain and it would go ON AND ON. 

 

She should have simply said "I don't have time to explain." THAT'S IT. Seriously, who wrote this crap? There are many reasons to why I hate Destiny and this is just one of those.
