Sad Songs

Another sad song I could share is Collapse off the new Vektor album.

The first half of the song is litteraly a ballad, but then it slowly turns to a riffs fest.

Also, the lyrics are sad because they talk about some kind of a collapse for the main caracter of the concept behind this album:

"We don’t belong at these heights
Watching over all
We’ve come to the point of the obelisk
Impaled as we fall

Collapse under the weight of time
In this still life of our design
Collapse into a great resolve
Everything falls

A broken image reflects from a shattered surface
Its shards of truth cut clean their meaning, our purpose

A tearful dawn sheds light
On what we have become
We were not meant to live like this
No life, no freedom"

This song is melancholy I found. It paints a very bleak image of feeling invisible among so many faces. Famous, yet unknown completely to the world. Unappreciated as a human being, yet obsessed over as an artist.

And this is another one, which seems at first like a broken hearted love story ending, but really it's about the singer's father passing away. With this in mind, it's probably one of the most emotional pieces I've heard. Beautiful voice as well.

Pch, sad music?? That's for funerals.
Whenever I'm sad, it's usually because of someone else hurting my feelings somehow. It always helps me to listen to Sleepless Again by Metallica when I need to go through those times. It sort of helps to drain my frustration, anger and heartache.
Other than that, Bastille is just always nice to listen to, as well as all things punk rock.
