music Does Anypony Still Burn CDs?

I'm starting to do that with whatever digital exclusives I buy, in case they can't be transferred between devices. Plus some cars aren't MP3 or Ipod equipped.

How about you?

Sometimes, after i bought a lot of Cds, i save them on my Computer, take all my favorite Songs from the different Albums and burn them onto a new Cd, which i then use, to show my favorite Songs to my Family, since our Car has a Cd Player.

But i only did that two times, that one time for my Birthday and one time for the car.

Not really...I used to burn them all the time, but now that all the audio equipment in our house has Bluetooth or supports plugging in an iPhone/MP3 Player, there's really no need to use CDs anymore.

A friend mine's car uses CD's still, nothign else. So we actually burnt a few CD's a couple of days ago for this very device. Might seem ancient now, but it still works at least. :3

If he's got a cassette deck, there's a device you can get that looks like a cassette with a 3.5mm Audio jack coming off of it, you insert it into the cassette deck and then the audio jack into your device and you can play music through that.

That kind of device is pretty awesome, I have used on before in someone else's vehicle. :) Sadly, his car has only the CD player. :c He said he would love to get a new system installed but with the kind of car he has, that would be really expensive and very complicated.

I only burn CD's it if my original copy is damaged or in bad shape. That said I only listen to CD's in my car when I commute to and from work.

Gotta burn CDs if I want to listen to tunes in my car. Since it only has the CD player/Radio in it. But I do like to have backup of specific music in case of a hard-drive failure (had several cds I had downloaded completely wiped from my laptop once).

Not anymore. Ever since I've owned a Mac & iPhone, I've been downloading my stuff from the iTunes store. Plus, we have a few bluetooth devices in my house so we don't need CD's anymore.

I haven't burned a CD in ages. I usually keep files of my music, and shuffle them on and off of my phone. Everything is backed up on external hard/thumb drives. I still burn DVDs though.

I don't normally burn CD's. That would make it to crispy.

I do however sorta burn certain dubstep sounds onto my records for my turntable set for performances. If you know that is what you meant... 8 out of every 10 kids probably don't even know what a record is!! Gosh, they haven't lived yet.

I actually still use CD's, largely for being able to play music in my car (since it's from the last century and lacks all the fancy doohickeys today's cars have) and I've yet to get a phone to fill with my horrendous music tastes :P

Occasionally I'll also use them as a gift item for somebody, since a CD can be made so much prettier than a Flash Drive.

I do it all the time (which is to say, I ask someone qualified to take care of it). It’s practical, easy and that way I can have a physical copy right in my hand. I don’t trust media formats I can’t get my hands on; there’s always something that gets screwed up and doesn’t work.

It's more the exception than a rule. Sometimes I have data which is so important that even saving it on my raid system is not enough.

For the most data I have my raid system is good enough. Within the last six years I have burned three 5 DVDs.

Sometimes, though mainly boot/install CDs. Music I mainly record to cassettes or MDs (because their players are smaller than a portable CD player), though I recently recorded a music CD for use in a car which does not have a way for me to connect my MD player (and I was away from home and without any blank cassettes - finding a blank CD in a shop was easier).
