Buzz 1,769 August 1, 2016 Share August 1, 2016 The colour grey should be spelt as such. And after looking at this, a lot of word/phrases are different between the UK and US instead of the 4 i knew before! "Whats wrong with being different, sometimes standing out from the crowd is a good thing. That, and you know you love it!"- Me
LHfunk 422 August 1, 2016 Share August 1, 2016 Mentally I think of it either way, but I write it as gray. The funny thing is that the only reason I still write it as gray is because I associate grey with Gandalf, so I always see it as Gandalf the Grey, not the color grey. I'm not even sure that's how it was spelled in the books, it's just what I associate.
FizzyGreen 909 August 1, 2016 Share August 1, 2016 (edited) Gray. You know why? Fifty Shades of G( r )ay. The original movie name is written wrong, this is the real one! °^° Edited August 1, 2016 by FizzyGreen "You are right Starlight, you are more talented in magic than me. Guest90210 3,568 August 2, 2016 Share August 2, 2016 Gray. I've always spelled it that way. Always will. Though "grey" is just as acceptable - I believe certain countries tend to spell it one way or another
Sabrinie 392 August 2, 2016 Share August 2, 2016 I honestly use them interchangeably because I don't know which one to use. Pretty much whichever I'm feeling that day is what I use What fun is there in making sense? The original movie name is written wrong, this is the real one! °^° In that context, "Gray" would be incorrect. The "Grey" is for Christian Grey, the dude who did all the stuff. Anyways, it's Gray for me. Dunno, probably because i learned it that way and i am used to it. "You are right Starlight, you are more talented in magic than me. Burke22 11 August 2, 2016 Share August 2, 2016 Grey just seems right to me. Although, whenever I search for "grey wool" in Creative mode in Minecraft, it doesn't show up because they spell it gray
Dark Horse 12,961 August 2, 2016 Share August 2, 2016 I dunno, Gray kinda sounds like it should be short for Gravy, and yet I honestly believe I use it more often then Grey. My spell check doesn't seem to care for either regardless. "Always watching - Always lurking." Signature by @Kyoshi
gamecubeguy214 2,512 August 2, 2016 Share August 2, 2016 When I'm referring to the Fairy Tail character, I spell it like Gray. When I'm talking about the color, I spell it like grey. Pennutoh has a gun

Galaxical Phoenix 68 June 9, 2019 Share June 9, 2019 Similarly to others in this thread, I spell it “grey” most of the time, but I feel like I occasionally use “gray.” Like “Greystripe” vs “. . . Here No Longer 5,276 June 14, 2019 Share June 14, 2019 I usually spell it with an a, but there's some times where I spell it with an e because I forget it's supposed to be spelled with an A.
Lunar Glow 676 June 18, 2019 Share June 18, 2019 See, it mostly varies as to how English/British or American your family raised you...my mother was born in England, so she raised me to spell "gray" with an "a." I just can't shake the habit now. Avatar by @Bakugou is my Man <
