Is there a fan in your room?

I have one in my room for while I sleep during summer and when I have my pellet stove on during winter since insulation sucks in my house. That's when I have it set on low for obvious reasons.

"I could have been happy above if I'd never donned the copper carapace and dipped my head beneath the waves to hear the muddled man-made sounds. Distorted and dreamlike droning. The whir and thrashing of a distant propeller, the tumultuous thundering thud of fogbound freighters. Mud underfoot, no sights, except the grasp of a diver's trained hand, dreaming of distant lands knowing all the while this is what I love, not the blue skies and wondering faces above. Canvas, rubber, brass, copper, and glass. Leather and lead, mud and sweat, heaving around in dark, damp depths seldom seen by most yet talked about by all. As if a sunny, happy place where mermaids and seahorses play and chests of gold are lain bare, untarnished by salt and time for all to grasp who are bold enough to go below..." -"Deep Sea Diver", Steven L. I prefer lower temperatures than the average person, so I have four fans in my room. I really, REALLY hate being hot.  :okiedokieloki:

Yeah and I'm gonna have to start using it again soon. Spring's started and it's beginning to heat up. I can't sleep while feeling hot, it's just so distracting and discomforting.

There's a fan in my room. I keep it on all the time because my room gets hot quickly for some reason...

I also have a fan in my room that is on at all times, my room is rather small and living in a flat it gets incredibly hot in here very quickly.

I live in a fairly new house (built in 2008), so we don't have any fans, instead we have ducted air conditioning. Thank god too because it's far more effective than fans.

I always have a fan inside my room, I live in a really hot wooden duplex house, so I need that fan for cooling. If I don't have a cooling fan, I get really uncomfortable, and I do not get a good sleep.

Fans are for the weak. In British Summertime, I open my window slightly if it's above twenty degrees.  ^_^ No need for fans in my room! A warm radiator would be more useful since we're coming up to winter!

I live in a two story brick home that is in a private estate that was built on the foundations of a old school. It was completed around (1998) and has a central air conditioner vent system. It's ok but uses a lot of power especially on a 40© degree day in summer. And conveniently there is a air conditioner vent in my room. :)

  • 1 year later...

Yes, I do and I usually keep it on when I'm sleeping. Sometimes it isn't even for staying cool, but rather because the sound of it relaxes me.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

There is one now, and man am I relieved. The fan is a lifesaver in this heat, especially since my room tends to get awfully overheated in the summer. :yeahno: Now the fan has been blowing air in my face for days and I love that.

For us having fans are like Aussies having a radiator

Well, I'm Australian and I have a radiator. Call me crazy.

Winter can be pretty bad in some areas - Especially the one I reside in.

we get 0, sometime -15 or more celcius!
We often only get winter (thankfully not this year) but our summers are only like 20-30 celcius if we're lucky

The answer is very simple

"No"

You should have stated a tropical country, like mine. Radiators are very useless here since the average temperature is about 25-34°C everyday.
