movies/tv Who's ready for Shrek 5?

Not me. The memes are incredibly annoying and unfunny and the last couple of movies haven't been all that good. Looking back, the original films wasn't very good either to me.

We couldn't let Toy Story 3 be the last one.. Of course Pixar being the hack of a company they are, are gonna rehash older movies instead of doing newer stuff. Shrek 1 and 2 are great... Shrek 3 and 4 are not that bad.

I am ready for the memes to come out as some can be kind of amusing to me, but I am not interested in this movie at all to be honest.

Just add another one to the pile of Dreamworks movies that I don't plan on seeing.

At least Shadows looks pretty promising and I am hoping to see that when it comes out.

And I am going to watch How to Train your Dragon 3, but besides them I am not interested in any more films from this company in the foreseeable future.

They still make Shrek movies?

I haven't watched the latest few movies, so I would probably be left confused by that. Then again, I probably won't, who knows.

Dreamworks is making a fifth Shrek movie? Cool! I've always loved the Shrek movies so I'm definitely hyped!!

Oh wonderful.  I guess more Shek memes will come out now, we all know we need more of that!

I'm so tired of Shrek memes in general... heard too much of it when I played online gaming.

I'm holding judgement until a synopsis is released. It seems unneccesary but unsurprising.

Shrek was a surprise hit, Shrek 2 was utterly amazing, 3 was one of the worst films ever made and 4 was sweet and somewhat redeeming. If they can get back to where they were with the second it could be great, but ultimately it will just be a merchandise cash cow as when first released merchandise wasn't near as big.

I know I'll happily buy a Puss or Gingey plush!

Yeah, I'm almost certain this is only being made to cash in on Shrek's memetic status

If the last two films were anything to go by, this series ran its course a while ago

so you either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become an overused meme

for a movie that started out as something of a psudo-parody of disney,

dreamworks sure is milking this cash cow for all it's worth yikes

lol honestly at this point, it kinda seems unnecessary to make another,

but I'll probably see it. I'm sure it's good for a few laugh at least

The first two movies were good, the third was terrible, and four was middle of the road. Aside from the fact that the franchise itself has run its course, the novelty that made the original successful is gone.

The whole "make fun of cliches in fairytales/Disney movies" thing has been done to death. Heck, even Disney occasionally takes a few shots at itself.
