Hazard Time 1,127 November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 That's a tough one. With the former, I wouldn't mind dealing with someone with opinions different from mine so long as it wasn't against my own identities. Having said that, if this person IS bigoted towards my identities (White and Jewish/Ashkenazi), I might be a little less inclined and a bit more concerned that they aren't using my toothbrush to clean the toilet or aren't spitting in my food. For the latter, it again depends. Did they learn their lesson? I wouldn't mind sharing space with a former criminal so long as I can trust them not to make off with my $1300 PC rig one day. It's a tossup, really, with all the variables considered. Roleplaying for Eight Years and Counting! List of All My Active OCs
GrimGrimoire 4,973 November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 Theft. I would have hoped they learned their lesson and were no longer a thief. I could not handle living with a bigot of any kind, especially since you stated they were outspoken. The thought of it makes my skin crawl. ~No profound statement needed~
Le Trotteur Sauvage 13,051 November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 be roommates with a nonviolent but outspoken racist or someone who was once arrested for stealing? KiraTakahashi 748 November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 I think I'd rather be with the theif. I would know if something went missing fast and would most likely prank them for days until they learned their lesson. I couldn't live with a racist..I'd most likely explode and beat them. +My life's it's own cartoon show.+
Oleks 1,993 November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 I used to have a roommate who stole things from me and was arrested once (not for stealing though). It was a real disaster. I also had another roommate who hated, let’s say, some aspects of my ethnicity. I just didn’t talk to him often, and it was totally bearable. So, I’d pick the first option. For me racism is just a form of stupidity and/or ill-breeding. I can deal with that. P. S. I’d rather have no roommates at all, to be honest, but that’s off the subject.
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,616 November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 Give me the stealing one. If they stole something from me, I could have them arrested and that would be that. Can't have someone arrested for being a racist dingas.
Kaneki 1,073 November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 Either way. If they steal my stuff, get the sheriff's department on their ass, and that's that. Racism, I'd just ignore unless they tried to inflict that and similar things on someone who could really get offense from it (minorities, LGBT people, etc). GeekySonic 1,150 November 23, 2016 Share November 23, 2016 I'll take the thief. I've had enough of living with racists to last me a lifetime. Check out my voice-acting demo reels on Casting Call Club, if you'd like.

Dreambiscuit 9,877 November 26, 2016 Share November 26, 2016 I'd take the former because I can always shut out an annoying personality, but the latter would be a threat to my personal living space and I can't have that.
Thuja 3,659 November 26, 2016 Share November 26, 2016 I'd rather be room mates with the person that was arrested than have a racist as a room mate.
20% Cooler Than Cake 161 November 26, 2016 Share November 26, 2016 Living with a racist would be very aggravating. However, they at least aren't dangerous, and I could always simply ignore them if I needed to. A thief, on the other hand, though possibly reformed, still could potentially threaten or damage my personal belongings, and even if I were able to get them caught, I still wouldn't feel safe knowing that they have easy access to all of my things. “There are only two ways to live your life. Snow Frostflame 3,568 December 8, 2016 Share December 8, 2016 Either one is asking for trouble... I'd take the racist since I can tone out harsh words. I can be intimidating at times so I don't think he'd/she'd try much.
