Have you tried to resist after you saw mlp fim stuff the first time?

Yep, I  even skip the singing part thinking "god this kills."

No, not really. I didn't think I'd be interested when I first heard about it, but after seeing a bunch of people with pony avatars, I decided to give it a shot and fell in love pretty fast. I didn't see much of a point in resisting because...Well, why should I? I already liked cartoons, and I liked cute stuff plenty, so I just went with it.

I didn't really resist, it was more like I didn't see what the big deal was. My first exposure was a bunch of clowns on another forum with MLP avatars who showed me the first two episodes. They didn't really strike a chord with me.

After I saw "Applebuck Season", I changed my mind. I don't consider myself a Brony nowadays, but I'm definitely a fan of the show.

I neglected watching it for almost half a year. I played on a community brony tf2 server because it was just a lot of fun. I eventually got the courage to watch it and I enjoyed it.

All part of how I became a brony. Wanted to burn every piece of merch I encountered becuase it was so "un-horse like" and didn't look anything like a real horse. Got tired of being proverbially boxed in so I decided to research and use said research to be a jerk. 3 jabs to the heart later from episode 1 and all resistence had become futile.

my friends are a bunch of art students, so we started watching it together, but I think I'm the only one who got back into it quite fanatically recently. But I'm lucky, because they're cool and they don't mind watching episodes with me if I need my fix :) I don't talk about MLP with normal people though :P

My friend showed me a compilation of Fus Ro Dah, and one of those happened to be the one of Fluttershy in The Gala. He told me "that's actually an okay show once you get past the fact its for little girls." I took a look at it a few weeks later... well I watched YTPs of it... I was too embarrassed to watch the actual thing. Eventually I gave in, and binged the first 5 episodes in one night. First few minutes it just felt wrong, but I began to love it as the episode went on. That was during the beginning of the S2-S3 hiatus... feels like ages ago.

My first time was with a friend who just didn't let up. So I decided to humor her and give it a look, which was awkward watching and trying not to laugh. I had to stop the show a few times asking myself, "Why am I watching this?". But with time i came to love it, so me and my gf enjoy it so much.

I actually did avoid it for some months, mostly thinking that it was something I 'shouldn't be watching'. Looking back it is amazing how stupid that mindset was and I am glad I put that behind me. Seeing the fandom was the main reason that I was able to do this.

Ok, I avoided it for years. Literal years. This show came out in... 2010, wasn't it? I didn't start watching until last year... It took me less than a week to binge the entire series up until the point Netflix didn't have anymore.

My resistance was primarily because I don't have many nerdy guy friends in real life, so I had no one to talk me into it. The other reason is because I know myself. It is very easy to get me emotionally invested in a good story... This show is good. After a number of years of fighting myself over it, knowing I'd probably love it, I gave in and watched the first two episodes... and then streamed the entirety of Season 1 in two nights.

I'm still new to the fandom, only own a single piece of merch, and my family picks at me a little... as do a few of my friends... But I've always been weird. This is just another tick in the checklist of weird things for me to be a part of before I die.
