I have both a cat and a dog, but I'm more of a cat person. Cats tend to be more quiet, and I love having my cat sit on my lap keeping me warm during the winter. I still love my dog though, so don't think I treat one better than the other.

I love cats, but my allergies are getting worse... (*stabs allergies* Why did you have to appear?!?) I'm going to get allergy shots later and then I'm going to get a light grey, female, Siberian cat. (Light colors, being female, and being a Siberian all lower dandruff qunatities.) I also really want to get a pet stingray, but I'll need a lot more experience with fish care and access to money before I'm ready for that.

Dogs have always been my favorite pet. I like how dogs are loyal to their owners and actually care for you unlike cats. I personally don't care for smaller dogs such as: chihuahuas, shitzus you know what I mean...

 

But I have always been interested in having a crow as a pet. Those things are very very smart!

I had a pet hedgehog for a while, he was pretty awesome Kinda annoying though because he'd hide everywhere and make scratching noises all night. Also they make little squeal noises it's so cute :3 Their back feels exactly like a hard brush and looks like one, and when you put your hand near it, the prickles go up like goosebumps when you're near it.

Cats are actually more altruistic than people give them credit for. I dunno if I mentioned one comforting my Aspie sister, and even curling up on her belly and purr when she was feeling unwell. I think Viscra can say his cat does the same to him.

I am definitely a dog person. I have two German Shepherds and they are the best dogs ever, IMO, equal parts cute and badass and fairly smart to boot. Dusty, my older Shepherd acts more like a Golden Retriever, though, in that she loves everyone but isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
