GOOD GOD DO I HATE THAT SONG.That being said, I wouldn't expect much, more a slight change in the ending of the opening credits, like how they update the picture on the scroll every season. The intro hasn't changed much except for the part where Spike sends a scroll to PC. If I remember correctly, starting with Season 4, it was a bigger group shot and (of course) Twilight had wings. Starting with Season 5, the picture was taken outside of the friendship castle, and starting with season 6 Starlight was added to the group picture. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Anyways, since OP says this is just a rumor, can any offer any concrete proof of this? Off hand, I can't think of another show where they made major changes to the opening. The Simpsons have been using the same opening for going on 30 years, for instance. I agree, they make major changes to the opening, it means a MAJOR remake of the show, maybe even a reimagining. There are 2 big cons in January. The MLP intro is kind of like the Spongebob and Simpsons intro. The same theme song with some slight visual tweaks here and there. We've had the same intro for over 6 years now, and I highly doubt that it is going to change anytime soon.
