That's odd. I hope that won't happen. Having the episodes be more spread out would be more enjoyable, and we'd get to enjoy pony for longer!  Plus we can try to guess what the next episode might be!

I think this has happened before. Mistakes get made, schedules get revised. 

The Zap2it listing shows two Saturdays without a new episode (5/6 and 5/13); I have a hunch that the schedule will end up stretched out to fill them, one episode per Saturday.

A Sunday premiere makes just about no sense, mainly because most of the kids won't be at home to see it.

Certainly possible. It would be strange to have a break so fast after the season started.

This is most likely a Zap2it error. A Discovery Family PR has the episodes for April and there are no new episodes on April 23 and 30.

Also why is there a big gap between episode six and seven? A strange place to have a hiatus considering it is usually in the middle of it. Perhaps it is a mistake. I cannot be sure though. Perhaps they are trying to confuse us on purpose.

Something else I just noticed is that the Discovery Family PR has episode 4 airing on April 29 while Zap2it has it airing on April 23. I suppose there's a slight chance it could've been changed since the PR came out, but this change really seems unlikely. As I said before, it's likely a Zap2it error.

seeing as this was posted yesterday by my timezone, not sure if aprils fools or not...
but if it is, then i could live with it.
after all, it means less episodes until a eventual hiatus, which is normal for TV shows, only a few small ones tho.
if Hasbro wants to have the series out by the time the movie arrives.

I believe that Zap2it made a mistake that when the new pony episode will air on, Discovery Family said that it will air one new episode every week on a Saturday instead of airing two new episodes every week on a Saturday and Sunday as that doesn't make sense. The correction from Discovery Family is the 3rd episode of the 7th season that will be on April 22nd and the 4th episode will be on April 29th.

This is definitely a Zap2it error. Discovery Family released their May 2017 highlights today and the MLP airdates don't match the dates on Zap2it.
