Has your enthusiasm for the show waned?

mine has, only partially, because of a certain op pony who keeps reverting back to her old self, to a massive extent. That, and it feels like there's been too many real life elements creeping into the show that I only wanted to turn to for escapism from all the real world mess. There's no real "omgI'mgonnadieifIdon'tseeitNOW!" hype for new seasons or weekly episodes. But other than that, I still enjoy ponies, make pony oc's, buy merchandise, and try to catch the show every Saturday. (though it feels more like habit, with the enthusiasm lessened)

what about you guys? Has your enthusiasm waned any, from when you first started watching MLP?

For the show? Not at all. The show has gotten even better than ever. Every season is ten kinds of improvement on the last. Now how much I talk about the show with others? Not so much.

Not for me, been in love with it since Season 1, and still in love with it now, more so than ever honestly. The last 3 seasons were my favorites so far and it seems like 7 is continuing the trend still. This shows done nothing but improve over time. I feel like a kid on Christmas for a little bit every single time we get a new episode.

Twilight is best pony.

Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to?

No. Because I don't treat the show like the be all end all. It is just a nice way to pass 30 minutes of a day among other things I enjoy. Currently it is still a lot of fun and I think it is a great waste of time. Currently this season, the episodes have been really good, and I cannot really complain unless i just want to nitpick for sake of doing it.

Certainly not. As a relatively new brony ( I've been one since early 2016 ) my interest for the show has never been greater and is, in fact becoming more and more prominent as the days go by. I personally believe that the more modern seasons ( and content in general ) is a definite and noticeable improvement over the show's earlier endeavours and will hopefully get better and better from this point forward. I was certainly very impressed with the Season 7 introduction to say the least, and I am so excited to see the direction that this show goes in the future.

May the brony community continue to prosper for years to come.

( P.S If my interest/enthusiasm for the show had waned HOW THE HELL WOULD I FILL THE RARITY-SHAPED VOID IN MY SOUL???!!!! I'D BE RUINED!!!!!!!!!!!! )

I don't think so, I still feel the episodes with Starlight are great, but sadly the episodes of the Mane 6 going on an adventure are long gone, I like to see the Remane 5 be honest with their feelings rather than sugar coating it because Twilight is there, speaking of her, her episodes are no longer as interesting as they are used to, it's probably an example of a character being in the show because of her past and her name, she doesn't really have much of a major role in the show now.

Mane Six episodes sans Starlight Glimmer feel quite tiresome and flat nowadays. If it weren't for Starlight, Trixie, Spike, CMC and Discord episodes... I don't know if I'd still be watching.

Then again I make MLP content for my YT channel, so if there's something for me to review or make then my enthusiasm will remain stable regardless.

My enthusiasm for the show has gone down quite a bit. Episode plots have become so predictable and I think they rehashed some episode ideas for the newer seasons. This season alone I am only interested in like 2 or 3 episodes at this point. So not to enthused with the show as of late.

It has for me. I started watching the show in April 2016, so just over a year ago now and am still in early season 6. I always saw the show as being decent and not really amazing and sometimes cringe-worthy. I started with watching an episode or 2 every few days and then slowly dwindled down to an episode every couple of weeks if I felt like it. Even with season 7 happening, I still can't find the motivation to catch up on it. I've been meaning to catch up for a few months now, but haven't gotten around to it.

Yeah, but not to a "this show sucks" point. It's been largely "meh" to me since season 6 started. I've only really enjoyed four or five episodes (depending on if you count the finale as one or two episodes) that season. I've only seen the premier of season 7, which was also just "meh" to me. I haven't been keeping up with the show since then, and even then it took me a few months to finish the last half of season 6. Unless I hear that a few new episodes are really good, I'm probably not going to be watching any more new ones.

Yes, my interest for the show has actually completely dissapeared. Heh, I actually only watched it because of the fandom, I fist found the comunity and then discovered the show. Fan made things are so much better in my opinion. I only stayed on this forum because of my friends but I'm on the brink of leaving here and the fandom aswell...

Not really, but I'm someone who largely keeps his hype in check. If I were to be honest I'm honestly excited about quite a few episodes coming out this season. :)

Not at all, I'm liking it more and more to be honest. If you couldn't tell (lol) I really like Starlight's character and especially seeing her with Trixie and Maud was absolutely fantastic. I also think that it's good they focus on new characters because all these ponies are characters with characteristics that are, well, quite extravagant if you get what I mean. This is what makes them so loveable but this also makes it nice to see others. ^^

My enthusiasm has kinda waned and kinda not waned.

I guess it has more to do with having time and not having time. When I first started watching, it was new and fresh and mysterious and I had a lot of time on my hands.
Now I have a bit less time and I know most about the show, so it is not as awe catching as it was before. I watch every new episode a bit late now (especially since my computer no longer allows me to watch streams).

Almost completely, but not because of seasonal rot.
Just because, I'm not that interested in kids shows that try to teach me morals. I just want a good story with an awesome fight scene here and there.

Not in the slightest. Well, it kind of wanes during every hiatus between seasons, but that's just because of the lack of new episodes. I move on to other stuff for a few months, then the new season comes around and I get hyped again.

Hi, while this topic has more discussion potential beyond just the show, the way it is phrased and where it has steered since the OP suggest that it currently belongs in Show Discussion.  If you would like me to make the necessary changes to move it back to Sugarcube Corner, you may request it (it will simply be a matter of rephrasing the title to allow for comic discussion, EQG, etc.).  However, as it currently stands I will be moving it to Show Discussion until further notice.

My interest in the show has been on the decline for the past year or so. However, I still do consider myself a part of the fandom! I love to draw ponies and follow quite a few pony artists. :)

Season six ticked me off with how bad it turned out to be, and while season 7 has been doing alright so far I am getting to that point where I may end up dropping the series. Especially if they do something incredibly stupid to the continuity like having Applejacks parents be alive the whole time. If they pull a stunt like that I'm done.

Yeah, but I find this typical. There's always that rush of excitement when you first start getting involved with a show or product you really care about, but over time it just naturally wanes. Doesn't mean I don't still care about it, it's just that after over six years of being a fan all the newness is gone and now it's just more part of my life and expected.
