Getting caught

Ok, the mane point of this topic is that I want to know the worst times you've ever been caught. Preferably mlp themed, but any funny story will work.  I was caught recently. By an untrustworthy, selfish, annoying, little butt, girl of 6 years old. I just wanted to show her brother a picture of a "bunny goat". Then she saw. Then she approached. Then she grabbed. Then she ran.  She went into the girls dress room and ravaged the remaines of my brony soul. She saw all of my memes.  My hilarious home screen was exposed.  She even went on the internet and found my recent search.  "Mlp season 3 episode 8" is what it said. All the proof she needed to make me hand over my man card to my friend. (not that I'm any less manly. I actually consider myself more manly now) It was a dark day.  But not for long. I ended up converting him in the end.  So YAY.

I proudly display my Vinyl Scratch Funko on my desk at the office. I figured, what harm could it do? Everyone knows I have kids so, easy out right?

Then a co-worker walks up one day, with a few others standing by, and he picks up Vinyl and says, 'Hey! Is this a My Little Pony??!!?"

His tone of voice took me off guard, he was like super surprised. Everyone turned and stared at me for an answer.

So I resorted to passive aggressive, "Dude, that's DJ Pone man, leave her alone."

He placed it back down, and just acted like nothing even happened, even the others just went on with their business.

Closet Bronies? Who knows!

I sorta pretend liking My Little Pony is a normal thing. People don't give me any second glances when I wear any of the shirts, or having any of my merchandise on display in my room. I just don't say anything about it, and no one questions what I do. And on the rare occasion they do question me, I just answer with all honesty. I've stopped caring what people think about me long ago.

one time it was my birthday and my aunt got me a mlp  t shirt but she took it out in front of everyone.

another time was when my little bro caught me with mlp card sleeves he's a brony too. but i was afraid he tell everyone so I said to him that it was for my sister"S and he asked her

for them so now the card sleeves  are his. wish I had better story's then that to tell for this.

I never really got caught, I told my sister when I was a closeted, and pretty much my whole family knows (and anyone that was in the same checkout line in Walmart on DEC 27th.) I mean, I guess I can kinda say because I was showing more interest in the series.

I still remain hidden but I came close, I had screenshots of Fluttershy's freak out in Buckball Season on my phone and I was scrolling through showing photos to my friends and they caught a brief glimpse of Fluttershy before I quickly closed the photos app and denied everything. They were pretty drunk so they bought my lame excuses and quickly forgot about it.

Ok, this one is hilarious. So, I was in Tokyo shopping, and I come across a store that sells television and video game merch. So, I look around, and I come across some cool MLP buttons. After debating in English whether I should buy them or not (assuming no one could understand me) I grabbed three of them and walked to the counter. Now, I had already bought 5 plushies in another store without so much as a glance from an employee, so I got a little paranoid when one of the two ladies running the counter gave me a funny glance. Panicking, I said in Japanese that my little sister loved it, that she thought it was cute. She then turns, says something to the other lady, they have a little laugh, she turns back and gives me the buttons, and says IN PERFECT ENGLISH "They are very cute, aren't they."

 

Which means she understood the whole discussion I had with myself about buying them, and she realized I was a brony.

One time I was caught was around two years ago when I was eating breakfast. My dad really wanted to check the newspaper website and his phone was charging in the kitchen so he forced myself onto my IPod and that did it. He saw my open tab of MLP images on Google images and he then asked me very seriously if I liked My Little Pony or not. I quickly made up an excuse that it was a prank that was done by my younger brother and hoped that he would forget about it. I really was extremely embarrassed over that incident and it's one of those things that I never want to happen again.

All these stories are awesome!  I never kept it a secret. I would draw ponies in school and no one said anything. I actually met another brony who I traded figurines with in the lunch room too! The area I live in is very nice so the kids I went to high school with weren't as judgmental.

The only issue is that not all citys and towns have communities who are quite as nice as your community. Even though Melbourne has a much nicer community than most areas in the USA it's still not as nice as your community. So I've been a brony for around three years now and I'm forced to keep it a secret as I fear that my parents will ruin my life if they find out about it. It's really just the way I know them!

My mom caught me and my dad is always in his room. He's also super unobservant so he hasn't even see my luck Pinkie Pie socks.  I like the character I made a nick name called (she made it basically) Dr. PinkiePinkie. It's said really fast, and I got the name from a post, advertising my Ask pink pony post. It was a skit with her head in a clip board and every time I said Pinkie or Pinkie Pie, she corrected me by saying" DR PINKIEPINKIE!!"  Wait I've seem to have gotten off topic. I think this is actually the best forum post I've created and I hope for more story's.

[Once In A Blue Moon 895]

I go out running with a Rainbow Dash cutie mark t-shirt on and I haven't had any remarks about it*... that's kind of an intentional thing though, so maybe it doesn't count. Most people would probably just think it's a gay pride thing anyway. 

 

Another tale is from a close shave rather than an actual 'pony reveal' was when I handed my car keys over at a garage. I have a Twilight Sparkle key-ring on it, and I wasn't particularly inclined to hand that over to the tough-looking mechanic so I hastily removed it. My locker keys at work also have an mlp-themed key-ring, so I am very careful not to lose them - going to claim them from security would be more than a little embarrassing.

 

A tale of when I was actually caught out from quite recently was when I went shopping. Walking around the busy shop, had a chat with the cashier about how I should probably use a trolley but then I'd just buy more - the usual stuff. Then when I got home, I realised that I had been wearing my Celestia Vs Nightmare moon t-shirt the entire time.

Well, I was taking pictures of my Minty and Moondancer Playskool figurines at Neighgar... I mean Niagara Falls for my first entry in Ponies Around the World, At one point, my mom and brother saw me with one of those at hand, and when each of them confronted me about it, I've just lied to them that I've found thrown away at the falls while in reality, I've bought them in secret to the now defunct Times Square Toys R' Us days earlier  

Another time my mom almost checked my closet precisely where my Funko vinyl Scootie was stored, I've told my mom to not go there and in awkward silence, she suggested that it was because I had porn in there. I've just went along and she left and sought whatever she was looking for there, which I don't remember what it was  . That awkward situation reminded me of the classic meme of "I was watching ponies on my computer, but my mom came and I've changed it to porn because it was easier to explain"

This is absolutely hilarious.  I've never heard of the meme.  It's hard to see a dude watching something so innocent and seeing it worse than something else so terrible. And if any of you guys watch ... "un-innocent" mlp and ruined it for yourselves I will. Hunt. You. Down.

So I was talking with a good friend of mine on whatssapp, and my profile pic was a really hard to catch Rarity image(I mean no one has ever realize it is, it´s practically just blurred colors), but she stop talking, and then: I won´t even ask why you have a unicorn in there...is that an MLP thing?? WTF!! do you watch that!? and I was like: HEY that´s Rarity ok!!!she is the bomb and MLP rocks so back off!!!! We then spend the hole afternoon planning cosplay costumes and guess what...yes mine was MLP related
