Tazool 43 August 8, 2017 Share August 8, 2017 I left the Pokemon fandom right around when I entered this fandom. Not that I let MLP overshadow Pokemon, but the fact that 70% of the new episodes that were coming out were complete and utter filler. Sorry, but watching 22 minutes of Ash trying to teach a wild Cottonee to use a single move in order to get with a mate, only for a generic team rocket theme to occur with a predictable ending, isn't very entertaining; it just feels like a waste of time. Those writer must not care about their show anymore. "Unknown thermal signature detected within a nearby system, proceed with caution"
Sir Warith 130 August 10, 2017 Share August 10, 2017 I left this one for atleast a few years due to life priorities and show didn't really interest me anymore. Though I did come back it's more so for the community and the literature I enjoy reading. Even then I still don't really consider myself a member.
Moony the Cat 3,702 August 10, 2017 Share August 10, 2017 Despite me being a Furry i left the Furry Fandom. And with that i mean, i never go to any Furry related Forums because i wasnt able to find any Friends and i have no Idea what i should do there, so im never interacting with the Fandom, despite me still being a Furry. And apart from me stalking this side from time to time, i also kinda abandoned the Brony Fandom, since im not watching anything Mlp related anymore and im only here to waste my time mostly. Im also not really part of the Dc Comics Fandom, despite me being a Fan, because as always, i wasnt really able to find something to do for a really long time, so i left the Forums there as well. Its just my usual problems with keeping Relationships up and having social interactions, which im mostly failing at. I left every Fandom actually or at least dont participate in them, apart from watching/playing Franchise related Media alone at home. 2 Sig made by Kyoshi
StormBlaze 992 August 11, 2017 Share August 11, 2017 pokemon general fandom - I am still big on merch collection groups though FNAF - the lore still interests me, but lost the love and thrill for the games Any anime fandoms - just lost interest in the fandom, but not the anime. Sonic - left a veeery long time ago. Neopets - just drifted away and stopped playing Furry fandom - semi retired. I only do the artwork these days. I dont go to meets, I barely fursuit and i withdrew from most cons and events. 1 DeviantArt ~~~ YouTube ~~~ MLP Forum Store
StephenP 106 August 22, 2017 Share August 22, 2017 On 8/6/2017 at 2:57 PM, Jon the Bronynerd said: Call of Duty, because Activision cares nothing other than money, and will continue to make unnecessary releases for the franchise that most 12-year olds glorify, and their parents sure don't seem to care if they buy their kids M-rated games because they're considered "normal" and a "learning experience" Couldn't have said it better myself. Fandom I left: FNaF. I still enjoy the games and I still think they're very creative in what they do. The problem with the fandom is their tendency to take something that was intended to be creepy and off-putting and turn it into the exact opposite of that. It ruins the purpose of what it's supposed to be. "Life's hard, shouldn't you be, too?" - Markiplier

Never joined the fandom, but was glad to not step foot to it to find out myself. Same! Most of the SU fandom is basically an army of SJWs who constantly attack people, get offended by pretty much everything and whine about being oppressed. Nope. Wouldn't touch that with a 2 metre pole. Tao 7,629 August 22, 2017 Share August 22, 2017 Furry Online Fandom (wow a lot of us did this). I just don't have time with work and stuff and most the people I ran into just wanted the Yiff. Pokemon kinda: So, basic I like old school Pokemon, but I don't have time to keep up with over 400 freaking Pokemon! Yaoi: Ok I love anime and still and watch. Just more picky as I got older in what I watch. I'm just got WAY too much into YAOI and now just sick of it.

TBD 17,254 August 22, 2017 Share August 22, 2017 Pokemon': It just got more ridiculous and the Pokemon's design is so poor. Doctor who: plot are getting repetitive and what's worst a female is playing as the doctor. Naruto: left in a past 12 yrs ago, the plot is just stupid I'm kinda at the peak of leaving mlp, unless something different happens. and dimmed down the villains' reformation. d^_^b 27 August 22, 2017 Share August 22, 2017 I've never been a fan of anything, really. Except for the Brony fandom, of course. Actually, I was a huge Pokemon fan when I was a kid. I never really played the games, but I did watch the anime and collected trading cards. I even got some Pokemon merch and posters on my walls. I finally tried the game on my friend's Gameboy Color, and I couldn't get into it. And the TV show was getting repetitive. So, I stopped.
-Monoceros- 24 August 23, 2017 Share August 23, 2017 (edited) I used to be a fan of Undertale, but I left because of eventually losing interest in the game plus REALLY bad experiences with members in the fandom that ruined my fondness for the game and its characters particlularly sans. Still listen to the music every now and then or watch some old comic dubs, though. Edited August 23, 2017 by -Monoceros-
Kaneki 1,073 August 23, 2017 Share August 23, 2017 This fandom, for a while. MLP for some reason started to make me cringe, but I started to miss the people so I decided to give it another chance and maybe watch with other people since I didn't feel bad then. Maybe I just felt weird watching it alone.

Victoria Sponge 1,017 October 1, 2017 Share October 1, 2017 Minecraft and sort of Team Fortress. With Minecraft I began to notice more and more how obnoxious some of the fans were as I got older, I also found that the videos I used to watch on Youtube were increasingly becoming boring. I still play the game sometimes and can have a good time but I don't watch it on Youtube or talk to fans about it and I wouldn't consider myself a fan of the game anymore. With TF2 it's more that I turned against the game, they pushed an update that completely ruined it for me and took away the fun so I just quit playing it, I still watch the fan animations of it though (gmod and sfm) so I haven't completely disassociated with the fandom but I have become very anti-Valve and not just because of TF2.
pegapony 193 October 1, 2017 Share October 1, 2017 Not an correct answer to the question. I have newer got into any other fandom. It´s MLP and I stay for life in the FAD. If some ponies are annoying, well then just ignore them or the part of the FAD you don´t like.
AnchorPoint 35 October 1, 2017 Share October 1, 2017 I've never been an active participant in any sort of fandom but I used to lurk in the shadows of the BSN forums and (once it was taken down) the unofficial forums, as well as DA confession blogs and the like. I'm still very much a fan but there's been some tension in the DA/ME fandoms for a while, so I had to take a step back for my own enjoyment of the games. Hachiroku 127 October 2, 2017 Share October 2, 2017 I actually left the brony fandom back in like 2013 because it just got really bad. Everyone was fighting over nonesense. Like they made a big deal over cloppers and all sorts of stuff.
Ivan The Adorable 304 October 2, 2017 Share October 2, 2017 I've joined and left so many online communities. Minecraft servers, D&D, political, MOBAs, anime, Zelda, this one. I stay for a while and contribute sincerely where I am, but there are only a few long-term friends I've kept from any. The heart of the matter is: there are good things about most people, but most people are also terrible, self absorbed monsters. When it comes to the internet, I'd rather give distance to move on, and change. You can't really work on a relationship that lacks trust and both ability and willingness to discuss things while considering mutual contexts. Tacodidra 61,110 October 9, 2017 Share October 9, 2017 (edited) It depends on what one considers a fandom. There have been a lot of shows, video games and such that I liked without participating in any online discussions. In many cases, there hasn't even been a large fanbase. But a couple that I can remember where I was more active: Pokémon: I loved it for a couple of years as a kid. I never played the games but almost everything else fascinated me (the TV show, trading cards, toys and so on). My interest just faded after generation II, though I still get a lot of nostalgia when I think about those days. The first online communities that I was part of also involved Pokémon, but I left those after just a few months – I was too young for forums and just ended up making a complete fool of myself! Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: It was sort of the same situation as MLP for me, though I was a lot younger: a show that I thought looked childish on the surface, but ended up enjoying when I actually looked into it. By season 4, I was watching the episodes online just days after their American premiere and was reasonably active on two related forums. For some reason, however, it took two years for me to watch the last episode (I had seen all the others almost immediately after they aired), and as soon as the show had ended, I was no longer participating in the online fandom. It's another show that I enjoyed a lot (and might still do so if I rewatched it), but I don't think I have seen an entire episode since then.
