I had a great appreciation for music from a very young age & my dingbat mother saw that as "Rarity wants to play music.".

 

I informed her that while I enjoyed listening to music to unwind after a long day of school/work, physically playing music was *not*

 

something that I was interested in in the slightest. :pout:

 

My mother said "Oh, c'mon Rarebear you've never even tried it before."

 

to which, I replied "That is correct because, that is not where my passion lies.". :sunny:

 

We quarreled a bit more on the issue after that until, I finally decided to give in as a way to make my mother happy. :>_>:

The reason I rarely walk on the ground is because, I get around a *lot* faster when I fly. B)

Looking back on "Putting Your Hoof Down" I feel like I've found a healthier way to balance my assertiveness since then. :squee:

I have two questions regarding today's episode:

1. Rainbow Dash, back in season 1 you knew about the importance of a good cheer, and you were teaching it to Fluttershy. What happened to you since then that made you think cheering was unimportant?

2. Why wasn't Silverstream involved in all this? It would be nice to see her cheerleading, or perhaps even playing the game...
