Real or artificial tree?

I pretty much never put up a Christmas tree, though technically, my front yard is full of them. They just need lights. :P

I do Christmas at my grandparents' cabin and they prefer an artificial tree due to allergies. I like real trees. They smell good!

I've always had a real tree for as long as I can remember.

Fake, cheap and reusable.

Everyone in my family uses an artificial tree, they are not messy, less expensive, and you can reuse them next year. My family's had their tree for many years now, it's dusty and old but it still looks great.

I prefer a real tree if I happen to live in a place where they're readily available. When I lived in the northwest they were easy to get and I could cut my own, but in the southwest I have to pick from trees at a tree lot, most of which were cut down two weeks before Thanksgiving, and they can be a bit beat up and dry. They're still nice, but I like them fresh from the ground. They make some realy nice fake ones now but they don't have the smell unless you get artificial scent, but that often smells a bit perfume-like to me and not very authentic.

My family would always get a small artificial tree after the cats wouldn't stop knocking our real one over. If I ever decide to get a tree for the holidays, I'm getting an artificial one simply because it's much easier to tend to.

I don't have a tree currently but I would like to get one of those pre-lit artificial trees because I was raised with an artificial tree instead since both my mom and myself have allergies of a varying degree(my allergies aren't as bad as hers).  I'm kinda hesitant though since I'm worried about my cat chewing it and I KNOW she will  Maybe I should just buy one of those cardboard trees that goes on tables and have that instead? :mlp_huh:

Artificial. I don't agree with cutting down so many trees and you have to clean up all those needles. Plus decorating a once live tree in lights and tinsel is a spit in the face of the pagan beliefs that spawned it.

Yeah I like the idea of having a real Christmas tree outside, where you don’t have to worry about the mess nearly as much. And you still get the nice pine smell :3

My mother has a very small artificial tree that she puts on the table, but that’s really it. We used to have a bigger one when I was a kid.
