An insect you love

I really like both ladybugs and fireflies. Both very peaceful, cute buggos. :3 Fireflies also of course provide a lovely nighttime visual. Also! Little side note: Did you all know that, as of 2018, fireflies are the official state insect of Indiana? :D Not every state has a state insect so I thought that was pretty cool. Good choice too!

I hate insects (pretty much all bugs, really). They terrify me. Moths are pretty cool, though, especially the large ones. They're actually kind of cute. And I know it's not actually an insect, and it's really surprising because spiders are in the list of top three things I'm terrified of, but I don't think tarantulas are all that scary, especially pets. I wouldn't call them cute, but I wouldn't hyperventilate if I was in the same room as one.

Both of the bugs that don't terrify me are fuzzy. Maybe being a bit fluffy somehow makes things less scary to me? It could also be a coincidence, though. I don't know.

None. They can all die.

In fact, seeing me react to any bugs is the funniest thing you'll ever see.:sealed:

I'll give ladybugs a pass though since they're pretty small and harmless.

I don't love them or anything but (I'm hella scared of insects) I always found praying mantises fascinating. They look very royal because of their gentle body shape. Still scary though. Like little aliens.

I really like cicadas! Especially with how beneficial they are to the ecosystem. They stay underground for 15 years, and emerge to shed their shells, mate and be eaten. Some species even choose to get eaten. Then the cycle repeats for another 15 years. Everyone wins! lol

And spiders. I love love love love spiders. They're technicnally not insects, but. I love spiders. The way they make webs, their behaviours and habitats, how some are able to take down animals much larger than themselves... there's a lot to know about them, and I love spiders for that.

And there's also dragonflies, and beetles, and, well really, I love insects in general. They're super unappreciated

Wasps are really cool predictor alien looking things, but they are bastards! Got my thumb, bite me. I am surprised it didn't hurt more. I have been bitten and stung by bumblebees in the past, and holy sh*t does it hurt! :yay: OUCH!
