Why is Celestia scared of chickens?

A question that I have always had was why is Celestia afraid of chickens?  I might look at doing an episode about it in my season 10 fanfic project.

One chased her around when she was a little filly? Chickens can be pretty mean, especially roosters.

Bad experience with a cockatrice nest?

One of the mini series of the comics, Legends of Magic, I think, mentions an episode with a cockatrice in her youth, after becoming princess. Basically, its stupid like the the thing with cakes, except its not the fandom making a disjointed joke over one episode, but the actual writer.  Not to mention, it's that old overused joke about someone powerful afraid of something ridiculous, if Celestia was powerful.

I'd prefer cockroaches...

I have a theory that she ran a-fowl () of a nest of chickens when she was just a filly and she's been scared of them ever since.

Celestia might be afraid of them because by now they have successfully annoyed the everlasting feather out of her by making their trademark "Raise the Sun, Celestia!" sound.

I do remember Celestia defending Canterlot from giant cockcatrice in an early issue, but me forgets which .

It could be due to a traumatic experience when she was younger. Those sorts of experiences can be difficult to shake off, particularly someone of Celestia's nature.

She probably annoyed a whole flock of chickens, and learned a very important lesson: never provoke a flock of chickens.
