Pencil focused on driving correctly for the most part but took a few glances at Thundy’s controls when the roads were straight. She attempted to emulate a few of his moves. She was able to drift and do a couple of wheelies, even though most of the speed boosts landed her in a corner. Despite many of her efforts failing her, she was able to pass a car and bump up to 4th place once she reached the first checkpoint.

"Awesome! Well, then. If you're ready, then let's do this!" Dynamo exclaimed, while thankful that Bluebell didn't mind his explanation. As he placed his hooves over the controls, the game had finally begun. He took the time to follow Bluebell, while allowing her to learn and play through the game. It was a bit shaky at the beginning, but as time went on, it looked like she was starting to get the hang of it. Dynamo's eyes widened in awe at how she was soaking the knowledge of the game like a sponge. He still managed to help her across certain stages with Tail's ability, but it looked like she was speeding through the game. Looking down briefly, he noticed that his pendant was beginning to glow more brightly. He wondered if it had something to do with how fast and intensely Bluebell was picking up the mechanics of the game. Either way, he was truly happy for her as he was enjoying how fast they were breezing through the game.

Thundy pulled a drift off a ramp and sent his car into a helicopter spin. It landed back on all four tires. He then popped a wheelie and pulled a backflip jump over the opponent in front of him. He was now in first place.

"Y-You can say that again." Dynamo panted as he sat back down on the ground. A little winded and tired from the adrenaline he felt from the game. Other than that, he was doing okay. He was happy, even. Looking over to the bespectacled mare, he grinned as he leaned over to pull Bluebell into a hug. "You were amazing, Bluebell! It took some time, but you were kicking that game's butt like it was nothing. I knew you had it in you. Are you sure you haven't played a game before?" He asks with a chuckle, before looking around at the other games that were available. "Did you want to play another game, or try something out? If so, then let me know and we can give it a go." He says, waiting patiently as he allowed her to choose another game machine.

Looking over towards the row of claw digger machines, Dynamo smiled. "Oh, those are pretty fun. A bit challenging as they can be a bit unfair. However, it's not impossible." He stood back up on his hooves as he took the lead. Making sure to stick close to her as he didn't want to leave her behind. "Sometimes you need to angle the claw in just the right way. Other times, it's all about luck and timing. I remember spending a lot of bits having to get a Mareio plush. It wasn't easy, but I managed to do it. I guess you can say I can be a bit stubborn." He chuckled with a sheepish grin, before looking over at the machines. One in particular, had caught his eye. That one being a claw machine full of Pokemon plush. "Hey, Bluebell?" He asks, looking back towards the bespectacled mare. "Have you ever heard of something called Pokemon? If so, then did you want to try this one?" He asks, pointing to the specific machine that they stopped at.

"Pink dragon?" Dynamo asks, scanning through the glass case to see the plush that she was mentioning. As soon as his eyes saw the dragon in question, he smiled. "Oh, I see. I think he's orange, but pink isn't too far off. That dragon looking thing is named Charizard. It's a fire and flying type Pokemon, but some say it looks like a dragon. I think that's an excellent choice. A bit tricky to get, but never say never." He says, starting up the machine. "The controls are pretty simple. You use the directional stick to move, until you find the right spot to drop the claw. One trick I want to mention is to use the shadow of the claw to line up on the plush. Once you find the right position, you click the button next to the directional stick to drop the claw. After that, you just hope it works." He says, allowing her to take a crack at the game. Once she was in position, Dynamo moved next to her as he placed a calm hoof upon hers. "I-I hope you don't mind, but I want to try and help. I don't doubt you in being able to pull this off, but I think it'll be better to work together. What do you say?" He smiles softly with a light blush upon his cheeks.

Dynamo's blush increased as she flashed him a smile. He couldn't tell if it was how she normally smiled, or if that smile was a flirtatious smile. He looked towards the claw digger machine to distract himself. The blush still present if one could see the reflection in the glass. As she started to carefully move the claw into position, Dynamo kept his hoof steady upon Bluebell's, while making sure not to push her hoof in the wrong direction. As they played the game, their pendants began to resonate with each other. Almost as if they glowed more brightly in sync. As he saw the shadow hover over the Charizard plush, Dynamo's eyes widened. "I think that's it. Go for it, Bell!" He called out to her as he gave the signal to his the button to drop the claw.

Bluebell pressed the button.   The claw slowly lowered and landed on  the plush.  It started to close as it rose back up.  Bluebell held her breath.  It looked like the claw was going to slip away, but then the end of the claw clamped on to the wing tip of the plush and started dragging it towards the chute.

Upon Bluebell hitting the button, Dynamo's eyes followed the claw as it made it's descent. He waited with baited breath as his eyes stayed glued to the machine. As it close and began to rise back up, the gaming unicorn frowned as if the claw was about to miss it's intended target. What looked like the claw was going to slip away, had ended up clamping onto the Charizard's wing tip of the plush. Dynamo felt his heart stop as if time had all but became frozen. One front hoof gripped onto Bluebell's, while the other rose to his face. Almost chewing on his hoof as he was worried for the outcome. One wrong slip or jostle and the plush would fall, as well as their hopes and dreams of victory. Thankfully, it wasn't the case as it looked like the plush was reaching the chute. The claw opened up as the plush made it's way down the chute to the prize door. "You did it, Bluebell!" He cheered, wrapping his arms around Bluebell as he pulled her into a tight hug. All fear and anxiety had left him as they managed to do the impossible in gaining the plush. Reality caught back up to him as he pulled back from the hug with a slight blush. "S-Sorry about that." He would say, before a thought crossed his mind. Without a second thought, he reached into the prize door and pulled out the plush. Levitating it in his magic, he hovered it over towards the bespectacled mare. "Here you go. I want you to have this as something awesome you got today. That, and a thank you for a really nice day. A lot had happened, but I'm glad I was able to spend it together with you and the others." He would say with a soft, but kind smile.

Dynamo smiled as Bluebell had taken the plush, before listening to her remark. His jaw dropped slightly as he thought he had heard her wrong. "Uh...I-I'm sorry, Bluebell. Did you say that you were asking me on a date?" He asks, recalling what she had said quickly, before piecing everything together. He blushed as he hadn't expected anyone to ask him out before. He almost didn't want to believe it as he wasn't sure if this would happen again. He had remembered what had happened in the past, but...he shook his head mentally. He couldn't think like that now. He remembered what his old teacher had told him. Taking a deep breath and steeling his resolve. Dynamo looked to the bespectacled mare, before nodding. "I'm sorry about that, Bluebell. I guess I wasn't really expecting that, to be honest. However, I know what I want to do and my answer is yes. I would love to go on a date with you." He says with an honest smile, as well as an honest and true look in his eyes, as well as his expression. The bright light in his pendant glowed true as he wanted to respond to Bluebell's feelings and affections.

Bluebell smiled.  "You-you have to g-g-g-give me a day or two t-to get ready for it. I haven't- haven't done this before my-myself.  The day after tomorrow, okay?  See you later." she then hurriedly ran out the door.

Dynamo nodded in agreement on the plan for their date. "Okay and I completely understand. Better to prepare and get ready for it. Especially if there's something going on tomorrow. The day after tomorrow sounds perfect." He would say, before she hurriedly ran out the door. He was confused at first, but the glow in his pendant had given him his answer. With a smile, he waved at the retreating unicorn. "See you tomorrow and see you as well for our date, Bluebell!" He called out to her, his arm slowly fell to his side. The blush present upon his cheeks as realization had hit him. "I-I have a date coming up. I actually have a date coming up!" He smiled softly, speaking softly so as to not shout it through the arcade. He was feeling nervous, but he was looking forward to the date ahead.

Pencil managed to find a couple of ramps and took advantage of them. She also took advantage of her turbo boosts when there was a clearing in the road. As she neared the next checkpoint, she had surprisingly made it to 2nd place. She could faintly make out Thundy’s taillights.

The final stretch had arrived. "Use the nitrous." The announcer said. Thundy hit the nitrous and got a boost along with double tapping the gas, popping a wheelie. Thundy crossed the finish line. "Yes!" He cheered.

Pencil went along with what the speaker said and gave it her all on the final lap. She was just inches away from Thundy but was unable to pass him. Still, second place was pretty impressive for her. Once the game was finished, she waved at Thundy and put a hoof in the air, offering a high hoof/claw.

Thundy gave Pencil a high claw/hoof. "Not bad for your first race. What would you like to do next? Maybe play a little bit of Galaga with me or something?" Thundy asked looking at Pencil.

As the sun dips down in the horizon, a gust of wind drifts a few more pages back to the town's history book, the same one waiting at Dynamo's home. The pages talk about Final Premonition growing up in a small town far away from the spot of land that would one day become Friendshire. Though he was laser focused only on science, he did make a friend named Chromatic Alfonz...

Beside the book, the Laronde Box glows for a split second. Underneath the desk where it sits is the chest full of magical quartz stones. They too momentarily glow, as if responding to the box.

Another new day. To those waking up early for work or any other reasons, it seems like a normal day...
The sun is out. There is no clouds in the sky. It's not too warm. It's actually quite peaceful. Every reason for citizens to think that today is going to be a good day.
And yet... There is something ominous in the air. It's not easy to see it. Most wouldn't even notice it. But if you are hyper aware, either magically or spiritually, you might have a hard time relaxing. A slight swirl of anxiousness might just claim you; and you'd have absolutely no idea why.

In town, some ponies are surprised to see a sign over the door to Dr. Milenko's office. The sign reads:

Away on sabbatical.
All therapy sessions canceled until further notice.
Will return on the following date:  ? / ? / ? 
-Dr. Milenko.

For some, this is suppose to be the day that Samurai Equine returns to Friendshire. Last time he was seen, he said that he was going off to find his mortal enemy, Snow Leopard, and prevent him from finding the town. Was he successful? Was he ordered to go back to Japon like he was afraid of? This is suppose to be the day we'll find out.

Shadow opened her eyes, looking out at the sun shining in the horizon. It was another day for her, another planless day.

Just kidding. Today, she is planning to visit Keen in the hospital. Last time she saw her was at the Emergency Room, her friend is most likely moved to another part of the hospital.

As she was about to leave her bedroom, her attention was suddenly directed to her saddlebag, something was teasing her to check it out. Many voices are in her head and they chanted the same words over and over again.

Open it, open it, open it, open it

If she wasn't tired, she would be on the ground, cowering, her hooves over her ears, but she was tired, weak, and her eyes not completely open. In simple terms, she meanttally shrugged the temptation and went into the kitchen.

...

Sundae almost jumped out of her bed, her heart racing as fast as a cheetah. Her name was a mess, looking more like a wild than civilized unicorn mare “Just a bad dream” she got out of her bed, sollingly going to face the new day with optimism.

Thundy and Cheslea were up early, doing their workouts on the small gym that Thundy set up in their place. Thundy was doing some bench pressing, while Chelsea was doing some aerobics. They had their music sort of blasting. It could be heard by others.

As a new day had dawned, Dynamo had found himself waking up at his normal time. His eyes slowly opening to the nice, bright light from his window. He yawned as he slowly sat up in his bed. Looking out the window, he noticed that it looked pretty nice out. However, he soon blinked as something didn't feel quite right. He remembered he had everything when he went home. The box, his pendant that he was still wearing, his jacket, as well as the Gamer Driver. What was he forgetting? His eyes soon widened as he remembered that Pastel wasn't here. Quickly getting out of bed, he tried to make a mad dash out of his room to hers. Upon opening the front door, however, he noticed that there was a note left on  his door.

Dear Dyny,
Grandpa had called me to go on a journey with him. Helping me to learn some wrestling moves to show the world that I'm a true magical girls. Nyahaha!
I don't know when we'll return, but we'll return with many tales to tell soon.

Rereading the letter, Dynamo could only sigh. He was worried when he hadn't seen Pastel before and thought that she was spending time with a friend. Hearing that she went on a trip had given him a sense of relief as he knew that she was safe with Iron Shoal. However, he felt sad as he considered Pastel as a friend. He didn't know where she would go, but he hoped that she would reunite with him and the others someday. For the time being, he knew he had to break the news to the others. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, he shook his head to try and make himself more alert and awake. He soon remembered that Samurai was supposed to return to town today. He remembered that the stallion was off to find and take on Snow Leopard to stop his enemy from finding this town. He hoped that he had succeeded and was safe. He knew that only time would tell. Speaking of Samurai, he looked over at the box that was still resting on his nightstand. Taking a look at the object, he held the box in a levitation spell. He wondered if something would happen, or if the box would activate. He looked the box over as he couldn't make heads or tails on the subject at hoof.
