Pencil got up for the morning and headed to the museum. Now that everything was in order, she had exhibits to set up. She also remembered that Samurai would be returning today, so what better welcome to give than a tour of the newly decorated museum?

As Pencil walked towards the building, she felt a strange tingle in her horn. She tried to scratch it away, but the feeling remained. She tried using her magic to make it stop, but that only escalating the sensation. In frustration, she grasped her horn with both hoofs and tried to force the tingling to stop. This had never happened to her before and it was very concerning. She didn’t know what in Equestria was making her horn do this. She hoped that is was a sign of a headache and nothing more.

"I think Bluebell and Tree Song had mentioned that they, as well as Mr. Nopony, are staying at a hotel. Pencil would be at her house, unless she would be somewhere else." Dynamo responded, before nodding at the idea of finding Kronos. "You're right. We have to find him and find him as soon as possible. If what you said is true and that he has high sense due to his other spirits, then he must know what's going on." He says, turning as he quickly made his way out of the building. "Come on! We don't have much time! We got to move and move fast!" He exclaimed as he felt his heart rate quicken. As he made his way outside, he was surprised to have crossed paths with Kronos so quickly. "Well that was convenient. We were just about to try and find you, Kronos." He says, nodding as it seemed he knew what was going on. "Yeah, I do. The box activated a little after I woke up this morning. The images I saw weren't good. If what I saw has anything to do with the tension and sense of dread in the air, then I think I know what it means." He says, not wanting to say what he was thinking, but he had to still keep up their discussion. "It seems that Samurai wasn't able to stop Snow Leopard, or he slowed him down, but Snow is still on his way here. We might have a war on our hooves and we need al the help we can get. That, and we need to alert the mayors and evacuate the townsfolk. I asked Chelsea to head to Mayor White's office since she was called by him and/or his secretary. So, I thought that Thundy and I should find you and have you go alert Mayor Black. Since you and him had left together that day we were sent to the gaming world." He explained, trying to catch Kronos up to speed.

"Alright, let's get going." Thundy said picking up Dynamo and gathering some electricity. He disappeared with a poof. Thundy reappeared close to the museum. He noticed Pencil struggling with her horn. "Pencil!" He called out still holding Dynamo in his arms.. 

Water Pencil was riding on Water Chelsea's back.

As she was passing by his store, Shadow sees Trilby rushing towards his shop, she could also see ponies waiting by the entrance. She chuckled, it seems like lady luck has finally landed on him today.

But behind positivity, there is an ominous feeling from the air, and felt the like being stared at came. She looks behind her, only to see nothing but locals doing everyday routines like walking around or preparing their stalls. Was it just her or something else? She thought of it for a few moments before dismissing the strange feeling as her own mind playing tricks with her. She decided to leave Trilby to his own business and head to the hospital to check on Keen

...

“Have a nice day!” Sundae watches as Midnight Trotter trots away (literally). She sat down on the pavement, rubbing her head, trying to ask her mind if its playing tricks with her, “I swear I saw a puddle moved while I was talking to Midnight” she muttered to herself.

...

Taking the disguise of another townsfolk, the imposter arrived at the apartment building where Shadow lived. She wasn't here to make distractions, rather she is here to warn her. Too bad Shadow was not in her room.

Behind her, Thundy has appeared and shouted her name. She was about to say hello and ask about her horn, but upon seeing the looks on everyone’s faces, she decided it was best to ignore those trivial conversation topics. Instead, with concern creeping in her voice, she asked,

“W-what’s wrong, guys?”

"This is an emergency. We have to round up everyone. Dynamo and Kronos know what is really happening. Tell her everything Dynamo." Thundy stated as he put Dynamo on the ground. Water Pencil and Water Chelsea looked in utter shock.

As he felt himself being picked up by the male griffon, Dynamo took notice of Thundy, who had begun to gather some electricity. "Wait what?" He asks, before disappearing with him in a poof. Reappearing closely to the museum, Dynamo felt parts of his mane stand on end with a bit of a crackle. "Ugh...warn me when you're going to do that." He shivered as he struggled to be put back down on the ground. He wondered if this was what could have happened if he had teleported with Thundy during the training yesterday. As he managed to get out of Thundy's grasp, he tried his best to quickly compose himself, while shaking off the electricity from the quick travel. "I've never teleported before, but that wasn't really fun. Might have to look more into it to see if there's safe travel." He would say, before seeing Pencil right in front of them. "Oh, Pencil! I'm so glad we were able to find you! We're in some serious trouble." He would say, nodding as he took the floor to explain. "It turns out that the Laronde Box showed me another event. Although, it's not like the fun events like the karaoke and kart race. This was was much more tragic and fear inducing. It showed a town, or maybe this town is being attacked by a group. If my guess is right, then Samurai wasn't able to stop Snow Leopard. If that is true, then this town and it's townsfolk are in danger." He explained, shaking his head as he didn't want to think of Samurai's fate. "At any rate, we need to get to the others and warn them of the same thing. I asked Chelsea to head to Mayor White's office to inform him of what's going on. At the same time, we found Kronos, who sensed the same sense of dread in the air. I think it's why I'm beginning to feel that dread in my horn." He would say, placing a hoof to his forehead as he felt a headache sensation. "I told Kronos to do the same, but to go to Mayor Black. We'll need to inform everyone, while trying to get everyone to evacuate. We're on our way to the hotel to see if Bluebell, Tree Song and Nopony are there. We'll round them up and maybe see if we can find Shadow, Trilby and anyone else. We all agreed to meet up at Town Square." He says, before a thought crossed his mind. "Do either of you know where the hotel is?"

“W-what?” Pencil stuttered in shock. She couldn’t believe that such a peaceful town would ever be in this much danger. However, that at least explained why her horn was feeling so strange.

“O-okay, thanks for telling me. I’ll h-help you find the others if I can,” she told Dynamo.

It took much of her strength to prevent herself from shaking. Now was not the time to display fear. If she was going to get herself and others to safety, she had to keep a level head.

Dynamo nodded as he placed a comforting hoof upon her shoulder. "You're welcome and thanks for the help." He would say, taking his hoof off of Pencil's shoulder. "I know what you mean, Pencil. I almost didn't want to believe it myself. After seeing the box show those images, I began to feel a sense of dread in the air. It looks peaceful right now, but I don't think it'll last forever. We just need to find the others and get the mayor's together. Hopefully, they won't be at each others throats so we can try and think of a plan." He says, before raising an eyebrow in confusion. "Speaking of which. Do either of you know where the hotel is? If it's close, then we can run towards it."

Thundy stroked Pencil's mane lovingly. "It'll be okay Pencil. We will find a way to stop this." He said. Water Pencil and Water Chelsea were right by Pencil's side as well. "I am hoping the same Dynamo. It is up to the two mayors to put their differences aside an be together free of judgement." Thundy stated.

Nopony wakes up and has a strange feeling that there is something in the air. Something wrong...

"Don't go anywhere!" he says to Tree Song, who woke up earlier and is about to leave the room. "Stay with me. I can feel there is something dangerous happening."

"What is it?" she asks, alarmed by her teacher's warning.

"I don't know. Let's go outside."

They leave the inn, or hotel as some ponies call it, and look around, but it looks like a normal day, there is nothing out of the ordinary.

"Can you sense where that danger is coming from?"

"I'll try." He concentrates on locating the source of his uneasy feeling. It takes some time, and they are still near the inn, so they are easy to find for someone who would look for them there.

Pencil was slightly embarrassed, but mostly appreciative of everyone’s affections. She had such wonderful friends. She couldn’t imagine why some unknown force would want to take them away.

“Thanks, guys,” she said to everyone, including the water clones.

She turned directly towards Dynamo who had asked if anyone knew where the hotel was. Pencil shook her head. Truthfully, she hadn’t been around town much unless everyone was going out together. She wasn’t sure where anyone was, so her efforts might not be as valuable as she hoped. Still, she wanted to at least ensure that everypony was safe before whatever horrible thing could come and wreak havoc on the town.

"You're welcome and it's no problem, Pencil." Dynamo responded with a smile. As she shook her head at not knowing where the hotel was, Dynamo gave an understanding nod. Thinking on how to locate the others, the blue unicorn turned towards the male griffon. "Hey, Thundy? When you located Pencil, was it due to her magic source, or was it the water versions of Pencil and Chelsea? If it's the former, then can you locate the magic signature of the others? Maybe you can let us know how close we are to the hotel so we can make our way over." He would say, trying to see what the others thought on the idea.

"It was due to her magic source. Pencil, what's going on with your horn? I saw it acting a little weird on its own as if someone or something had control over it..." Thundy said looking at Pencil with a concerned expression on his face.

"Oh, I see. I think the same thing is happening to me. I don't know why, but I feel as if I have a headache. I can't really explain it, but it feels like something is wrong." Dynamo explained, nodding as Thundy gave his explanation. "If it was due to Pencil's magic source, then can you sense anyone we know in the vicinity by their magic source?" He asks, wondering if he was able to use that sort of ability as a unicorn.

Thundy closed his eyes and went into deepness. He tried to focus in on the energies, but it was too much for him. He buckled hard, falling to the ground holding his and let out loud grunt, panting hard. "Too much...." He said straining. Sparks were crackling about his body. Water Chelsea came by Thundy's side and rested a talon on his head letting out a small flow of water. Thundy calmed down. "Freaking hay, almost had a super bad seizure there..." Thundy stated. "I couldn't pick out anything...I'm really sorry. Chelsea would be best for that. We have Water Chelsea but she's a clone and doesn't have full access to Chelsea's abilities..." Thundy added.

Kronos made it back to Mayor Black’s office. He gave him his report.

 

”Sir, there’s trouble brewing in the outskirts. And it’s not pretty. There’s an army of ninja that intend to destroy this city, and I doubt they’ll take prisoners. Im not asking to mobilize a militia, that’s too impractical. Im asking you to evacuate the citizens to a secure location while i hold off this imminent threat looming over the horizon. Please, sir, I’ve never asked for anything from you until now. Evacuate your citizens to ensure the future of your town lives on.”

Dynamo watched and waited patiently as Thundy had closed his eyes to concentrate. He soon saw that the griffon's knees buckled quickly, before falling to the ground. The gaming unicorn gasped in shock and concern as it seemed that Thundy was in pain and struggling. He wanted to rest a hoof upon his shoulder, but sparked were crackling along his body. He wasn't sure if it was safe to touch Thundy in fear of getting caught in the shock. Once he calmed down, Dynamo sighed in relief as the sparks began to fade away. That still didn't change the fact that he was concerned. "Thundy! Are you alright!?" He rushed over, placing a comforting hoof upon his shoulder. He felt terrible as he heard the griffon's apology. "Stop. Don't apologize. It's not your fault." He would say, turning his attention upwards towards the sky. "I'm not sure if it was because the energy tracking isn't your forte, but you managed to find Pencil. So, if that's not it, then maybe it's due to whatever is stirring in the air. I really don't like this. Whatever is going on, then it's really starting to affect us. Who's to say it might affect everyone." He says, trying to think of what they could do now. He wasn't sure if his theory was correct, but he couldn't take any chances. "Just try and get your strength back. If we have to, then we can go around quickly and ask if they know about the hotel." He explained, allowing the griffon to rest against his shoulder until he got his energy back.

"Gah, we all gotta be careful using our abilities now. It makes me worry about you trying to use that belt of yours. I wouldn't use it until there is a way to block out this weird energy that's going around. Perhaps it could be the plan of the enemy to cancel and disrupt our magic but their magic would be unaffected. Okay. Let's get Bluebelle and then the others. I just hope your pendants will protect you two." Thundy stated.

Dynamo bit his lower lip in concern as Thundy brought up a good argument. "I didn't think of it like that. I want to say that maybe the belt wouldn't be affected. Seeing as it's not of this world and some other form of magic. Even so, we can't exactly trust whatever this energy is." He would say, nodding as it could be a plan of this incoming enemy. "If I know Bluebell, then she should be at the hotel along with Tree Song and Nopony. It's still pretty early in the morning. So, we'll be able to get to them all at once. We just need to find the hotel first." He explained, blinking as he gasped in shock. His eyes widening in realization. "The pendants." He says, reaching into his jacket as he pulled out the pendant. All the while, holding the blue heart in his hoof. "It's just like you were thinking. Maybe the pendants will protect Bluebell and I from this weird energy. Either that, or we can also find each other. If we are wearing our pendants, then it feels like our magic energies are connected." He remembered that he could feel exactly what she felt, as well as it seemed that she could feel what he was feeling. If that were true, then maybe his idea of them being able to find each other wasn't too farfetched.

Thundy thought for a moment. "There's got to be something that could protect those who don't have pendents like you two." Thundy said thinking. He went through all of the games in his memories. "Aha!" He suddenly proclaimed. He made his Yu Gi Oh card notebook appear once again and pulled out two copies of the card "Rainbow Veil". This card would negate the effects of any other card during the battle phase, which meant it would protect them from the energy if they were to launch an attack. Thundy transformed the two cards into pendants. The medallions looked like rainbows with wings of them. Thundy handed the other Rainbow veil pendant to Pencil.

"Dynamo! Ch-ch-Chelsea! Th-th-Thundy!", Bluebell called out from the distance!  When she reached the group, she asked, "Is every-everyone okay?  What's go-go-going on?"

"Friendshire is in grave danger. There is chaotic energy in the atmosphere and it's affecting everyone's magic, even mine. Someone is declaring war on Friendshire...Dynamo has much more details than I do." Thundy stated hoping Bluebelle wouldn't panic too hard. He was afraid she could release a magic burst.

Nopony's concentration soon proves to be effective, but not in the way he was hoping. The source of the evil? It's surrounding Friendshire from all sides. It's forming a circle, and that circle is closing in. Whatever is approaching, it's coming with untold numbers. It's huge. It's heavy. And... It might just be hopeless. The aura of malice coming from the approaching numbers is so strong, you could drown in it.

The head nurse sees Chelsea. She motions her to be very quiet. "I appreciate that you're here, but the mayor needs his rest. It's just as important as your healing powers." The head nurse explains quietly. "...What's just as important?" Mayor White asks as he wakes up with a yawn and a wiggle. Probably can't stretch too much in his condition. The head nurse sighs. "Good morning, Mr. Mayor. You slept in later than usual, but Chelsea is here to give you another round of healing. AFTER you take your regular pills, of course." The nurse gets up to get them. Mayor White nods. "Hope you don't mind the wait, Ms. Chelsea. You're a darling for helping me out." The mayor says to her.

Knowing that the location of his last office was compromised, Mayor Black had to move to a new location. His new office is now a building that previously sold school and office supplies before the business moved to a different location. To say this news was putting a sour taste in his cigar was an understatement. "Well, that's quite the strong bit of news you got there, Kronos. Your request isn't outrageous. I'm glad you could come to me with this intel. Now I'm guessing you wouldn't just throw this into my lap unless you had some proof. You do have proof of these claims, don't you? ... As for evacuating the citizens, well... I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I don't make public appearances. I try to hide from the public eye as much as possible! However, I suppose I could make some phone calls and arrange some things... Which reminds me, we might not militias in the traditional sense, but there is a business in Friendshire that specializes in things like harpoon canons and fishing net canons. They always have an extra supply ready for big sea-faring companies. I could have those delivered to the outer walls of the town, and perhaps you could help assign gunners for them. Would that be useful?" Mayor Black asks, getting ready to pick up the phone. He may be skeptical, but Kronos has gained his trust.

They're coming...
The winds are blowing a little harder...
There is a subtle rumble in the ground...
There is a faint, beastly smell wafting in the air...
For the average citizen, these are all unnoticed. However, for those who do notice, these changes in the atmosphere are completely new.

"Not at all, but this is really urgent..." Chelsea stated as she felt something. She grunted and winced as she felt a disturbance in the atmosphere, as if there was some negative energy around.
