When I first saw people with pony avatars on some forums that I used to go on, I really didn't care too much. I wasn't a brony or anything, but seeing those avatars wasn't any different from seeing grown men have japanese anime avatars. I mean, so what? They're watching a cartoon made for kids, there's nothing wrong with that. If you are going to have anime fan forums that are dedicated to japanese cartoons made for little girls, what's wrong with one that revolves around ponies?

Well, I always thought that the fandom (before I became a brony) was simply ironic and I had no strong feelings about the show either way. So to see that there was a well made forum that seemed to have an active community existed I'd say my interests would be piqued and would give the show a shot. Then since I'd probably be interested in it, I might or might not join the forums. Probably would have.

 

Oh and I stumbled upon the forums because I was searching the internet for I pony question I had and I saw this website which was pretty awesome so I joined.

If I stumbled upon this place before I became a brony, I'd probably be confused considering the very high traffic levels here. Yet however, I probably would have stumbled on here in the first place looking for answers, as curiosity as to why there was a fandom for this was the reason why I researched the fandom and watched the first episode in the first place. I would lurk around and see the dedication and liveliness of the community and that probably would spur me into watching the show all over again.
