The job market looks pretty good in Ponyville!

For a while now we've all known about the instability of our real-world economy. I don't quite remember how I got to thinking about it, but going off of this, there's something that stands out to me is Friendship is Magic:

There are always jobs for ponies.

Celestia must have gotten the system right, because unemploment is at an all-time low in Ponyville (if only the same could be said for reality... Celestia for President, anypony? With Luna as VP, perhaps?) In fact... Now this would be cool... What if there's never been a pony unable to find a job? The only exception being, ponies that don't want to work (as Granny Smith says, "lazy daisies").

Maybe, if one were to get into larger cities like Manehattan, poverty might be a little more prevalent. But I doubt anypony would be turned away if they were eagerly and readily seeking employment. Unless they proved extremely bad at the job, of course:

This leads me to believe that most ponies either get jobs or start up businesses based on their cutie mark, i.e. their special talent/life's calling, and the skills that come with such a talent.

Surely I can't be the only one who noticed how smoothly the job market operates in Equestria? Let me know how you think ponies get jobs, or how Princess Celestia runs things so smoothly, or how the Cakes EVER let as hyperactive a pony as Pinkie work in their shop?! (Lol just kidding :P Who doesn't love Pinkie Pie enough to say "No job for you!")

Uh, we never see any clear sign that all of the ponies are actually employed. Other than they seemingly are happy and carefree at all time.

About Pinkie Pie, despite the fact that she was very destructive, she count as a free, walking advertisement banner. You can't see Pinkie Pie without being reminded by the Sugarcube Corner

Economy, this is the point where you might want to start taking notes. :)

We can assume that they all have jobs, because none of the ponies seem to be homeless, or ever lacking in bits. Unless, of course, there's an episode I haven't seen yet.

To Daily Motion, to be certain of my statement!

Well, right off the bat we can say that Equestria is Utopian. Not only are the ponies suited for it perfectly by being self sorted, (cutie mark, special talent, etc...) but they also have a deep love for each other and for the betterment of pony kind. They've united all of the types, or races, of pony that they are aware of, (still holding out for a merpony!) and learned to depend on each other for co-existence (heck it was founded in order to be utopia)

Fights can and do exist, but nothing on a grand scale. All the fights they have that are on a grand scale are with outside forces; changelings, Discord, whatever else. The exception being Nightmare Moon, who's banishment and return as Luna was the only "glitch" in their society, one they self sorted too I might add.

My personal theory is that Equestria simply doesn't have as many ponies as you would think, meanings jobs, land, food, etc is abundant. Support to back this would be the fact that the princess regularly visits and can be visited by Twilight and co. despite running the country. (Yes they're good friends, but still...) As well as the fact that importantly powerful magic ponies like twilight can go investigate friendship in the first place, (and that it's considered a big thing to investigate and report on) and not worry about diplomatic stuff. If this is true the ponies must be slow-building their society or simply not be very fertile.

as for Pinky, walking ad banner is best answer lol ;)

If we lived by a code of loving and tolerating we would too. Ponies really don' t seem to care about bits, they seem to care about friends, family, and fun. People? Not so much. We just have to hope that in the near future that some bronies (or ponies :P)but become CEOs and presidents of big companies and stuff.

I tend to take the high road, get stoned, and fly low . . .
