BRILLIANT!

Of course, this might just be setting your kid up for failure. I mean, nobody can possibly hope to life up to the level of awesome that is Walker.

It was a reference to Talladega Nights actually, "Dear Lord Baby Jesus, I want to thank you for this wonderful meal, my two beautiful son's, Walker and Texas Ranger, or as we call him, T.R."

None of these are in a particular order.

Boy: Sebastian, Louie, Isaac, David, Kane, Soren, Aaron, Albert, Hugo

Girl: Sahra, Cadence, Samantha, Eve

I can't think of a lot of girl names, but I think it is because I want a boy more than a girl.

My daughter is already named Cadence, but if we have another, we'll be going with Lucca for a girl or Clyde for a boy. (Since I named the first, my husband picked the girl name for the second and we decided together on the boy one)

It's weird though. I picked Cadence because I wanted her to have a unique name and not a boring one like mine was where every other girl had the same name. Now suddenly I see the name kids named Cadence (and now Cadance due to MLP though my daughter was named before the show ever existed) and boys named Caden everywhere I go with her.

It's a curse. x_x

If it's a boy I'll either go with "Michael", Raul, Xander or, if I really could choose (while I doubt it will happen) Archer, ever since I played that pokemon game I can't get it out of head, it sounds so awesome, or, Ethan, Connor (John as a second name), Gary, Taichi, Ken, Matt, Izzie or Adam (such an uncool name but that's what me girlfriend suggests in the unlikely even we ever have a kid)

For girls

Sora, Luna, Kari, Hikari, Mia, Amy, Peach, Daisy

So many references to name, so let's see who can find them all

I have slightly unusual names:

For a boy, it would one of these four: Evekhele, Ekiegne, Mbakhe, or Onwane. They are all words in the Gabon-Fang dialect of Fang (Pronounced Fong), a language spoken by only about 800,000 people. Evekhele means scales, and represents a man of honesty and justice. Ekiegne means iron, and represent a strong willed man who can be both willing to take the burden of others and stand as a needed sacrifice if someone is in need. Mbakhe roughly means "cutter" or "claw", and would represent a man with a fighting spirit who weeds out injustice. Onwane means bird, and would represent a free-spirited man who wishes to put his life to a test of creativity and expression, using his life as a canvas and his soul as the paint and his blood as the ink.

For girls, I have simply ones: Amber, Kitae, and Trixie. Amber is a very, very long story. Kitae (pronounced kee-tie) is, to me, a beautiful and poetic name symbolic of the beauty of the woman having it as her name. And Trixie, surprisingly enough, has nothing to do with MLP, but is rather based off of the fact that the name reflects, to me, a woman's confidence, standards, pride in what they are, aesthetics, and strong will.

If you haven't noticed, I'm very deeply rooted into tradition meaning and depth behind a person's name. That is not usually common in my country. But these names will not come to fruition, because I will never have children... because I will never have sex... because I will never want sex.

You have no idea what you're missing out :(

Anyways, back to business;

Dude; Kyle... fml, I can't come up with anything else T_T

Gal: Kyra, Calina, Caitlin, Summer and something else... for some reason female names are easier, lol.

Think of it this way. You know why I didn't go see Avatar? It was hyped so incredibly much that no matter how good it could have possibly been, I would have been gravely disappointed.

Sex has been so wildly overhyped that it is certain to disappoint. The bar is raised so high that it cannot be reached. Besides, even MY standards, it's extremely unsanitary. And I shower weekly, don't comb my hair, and haven't regularly brushed since '02 (There is more, but it eventually gets far too disgusting to list).

Sex is also time consuming, and I can get the same cheap, meaningless euphoria from doing drugs. However, since endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin do not affect me in large amounts, I naturally don't feel euphoria in any situation. So sex, beyond procreation, would be absolutely worthless to me.

Boy: Walker, Nikolai, Russel, Wilson, Cletus

Girl: Brandy, Candence, Alice

I'll just say it, I'd rather have son. Not that I wouldn't love a daughter just as much, but I just cant see myself not teaching my son to fish, shoot, hunt, drive, and.............. love ponies, not that wouldn't teach a girl the same things :P

I got the book at a yard sale along with 5 others for just about 2 euros, so, yes, that was good, as for the author, I won't dare try to read "A song of ice and fire" in english, I'd be spending days just trying to understand some chapters, and I'm waiting that any network over here buys the game of thrones, so, yeah, do not spoil it for me

Yeah, DON'T read the English if it isn't your first language or you're doomed.

It's great, you'll like it :)

Maybe it's a bit strange, but if I had a son I would want to pass down my own name.... or at least my middle name, Kenneth. I don't really see very many Ken's around. As it is, I got my middle name from my favorite uncle and would like to see it last at least another generation.

  • 11 months later...

I think about this from time to time, and can't quite settle on anything. I sometimes say, only half-joking, that I would name my son Lance. Which would be short for Lancelot.

For a girl, something sweet like Ariel, Belle, or Jasmine. . . . Yes I know those are Disney Princesses! What can I say, as far back as I can remember, they codified what was the ideal feminine in my mind.

For some reason I always imagined naming my son Alex if I ever had a son. I have absolutely no idea why.

If a had a girl, I would maybe name her Ashley because I like that name I guess idk
