Opinions of haters?

They are bored trolls with terrible grammar, who develops that false sense of grandeur and accomplishment every time they 'pwn' a brony. There are some arguments I wish I was there to combat.

I have no consistent opinion of them to share without facing blinding anger on how retarded they act and how far they will go to slander lies and make us feel terrible.

Well first of all I hate the word "haters". Did people who dislike stuff really need a name?

People are allowed to hate whatever they want. That's not what is important. What's important is how they act. If someone hates something but are very civil and respectful about it, then that's fine. But if they're going to go out of their way to be a dick because they hate something, that's not ok.

I usually ignore them. Both the rational ones and the irrational ones. The only times i reply to them is to say "If you hate MLP that much, why the hell are you here?".

And that's where we coined the term, 'haters'.

I understand that. I still think the name is lame though. I feel like giving them a title only gives them more power by acknowledging their toxic behavior.

Well, we call them haters, savages who can't hold a civil conversation with a brony. They already gave themselves a name anyways; anti-bronies. They believe it is their god given duty to get on the internet and bash people who loves ponies; hater and anti-brony is pretty much the same thing. Those who simply disagree with the show are smart enough to stay away from hate groups.

(And thanks! :))

Yeah I know the anti-Bronies. And I dunno if I would agree that they're the same, someone can be a hater but not an anti-Brony. Anyone on MLPforums who hates something is a perfect example of that.

I just don't think it's nessecary to refer to them as haters or refer to them at all. Aren't we supposed to ignore them?

We should but they make it damn near impossible for us to ignore them. This site sometimes is affected by a DDOS attack, which I assume came from a group of anti-bronies.

Because seriously, who else attacks a brony website?

Yeah I remember those attacks. I know it can be hard to ignore them, but really it's the best thing you can do when it comes to these negative individuals. Because the more you don't react, the more bored they get, and then they move on. All they want is to upset you. You shouldn't let them have that power over you.

Actually, I think boredom is a leading factor as to why people troll bronies.

If someone makes some ignorant remark about Bronies, I'll say "prove it". If they respond with something like "it's gay", I'll say "an opinion is not proof of something, give me proof".

If their post in an ad hominem against an individual, I'll say something like "4/10, would not read again", or "eh, at least you were partially creative". Basically, use wit to make the hater look foolish. Maybe even reveal one of your negative traits, and if they take the bait, you can call them out on the ad hominem (I know that's a favorite tactic of trolls, they'll purposely misspell so they can add to their troll ammo)

Isnt it obvious? I'll stab them in the spleen!

Honestly though, i mostly ignore them. And when my friends insult me for watching it, i remind them about what they watch/like.

But usually, i dont care at all.

Just ignore them. There's no reason to get into an argument with them. I'm not phased in the slightest by haters, so I just walk away. They don't like bronies, that's their opinion, no more, no less.

If I'm getting hate on the internet, I just send the hater this

(My most effective strategy to date)

If it's real life....... it's much of the same, really. Whenever some guy comes up to me and starting ranting about how I'm a "fagget" for watching a show for little girls, I just say "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" then walk away. Although, I did kick some guy in the crotch on this ONE occasion when he said something REALLY nasty (That was the only time I did something like this, I swear!)

Haters rarely make me upset. i just don't care about them. I never comment on youtube because i'm in risk of a stupid hater replying. i could get rid of my pony avatar...

Honestly, I'm more worried about phonies and deceivers within our own ranks. Having someone pretend to be your friend only to see them turn their back on you when you needed them most is nothing compared to hearing the vapid nastiness coming from a haters' mouth. Nothing, I say.

I don't ever talk about my little pony outside of this forum and outside of my family. EVER. So I never have to deal with haters. I done dealing with mean people. I have a life to live ok?

Things to keep in mind when confronting these sort of people.

Most haters have barely any reading comprehension

These types of haters are unable to put up a logical argument. If they are talking pure shit with absolutely no grammatical consistency, then they really aren't worth arguing with. Just walk away.

They often shoot themselves in the foot with the hollow point round of irony.

Things like, "We have a right to express our opinions". Yes, people who often forget their freedom of speech applies to bronies as well. Not even mentioning the fact that there is a fine fucking line between opinions and insults; one has a point in expressing, the other one doesn't and we have every right to feel offended by an insult.

"Bronies are immature faggots". I hear this one all the time, haters who rally in groups and call themselves anti-bronies to basically insult us and try to 'defeat us' are calling us immature faggots. That's utterly ironic. Another ironic example is that they dehumanize us for having emotions and feeling offended, not knowing they are dehumanizing themselves in the process.

It's great. My friend who lives near me is moving tomorrow. On the bus to school, I'm gonna tell him. He's an anti-brony, by the way. That's what's gonna make it fun. :)
