Do you think Twilight has OCD?

So I just watched "Lesson Zero" and she got really worried about her letter. In the second half of the episode I though she went completely insane. Especially the part with the Smarty Pants doll and the cutie mark crusaders.

I knew she was OCD even before I saw that episode. In my opinion its pretty cute. She always has to have everything organized and "do things by the book." Part of the reason I wish ponies were real is so Twilight could help me organize my room....

. No. Not OCD in the slightest. All you silly fillies have been out in the sun too long, and should be inside, working on your checklists like Twilight Not OCD Sparkle.

Also, this is very much relevant to this topic's interests.

Yessuree! When she was 'fixing' the icing on those cupcakes in 'Lesson Zero', she kinda over did it. I believe she's a perfectionist too.

I find Twilight's OCD cute. It makes her who she is and I wouldn't have it any other way. ^_^

Epic picture.

Yeah she has OCD most definitely.

Pinkie Pie is terrible though. With all that MPD, paranoia, bipolar, schizophrenia going on I'm suprised Pinkie can live a normal life. Well, pinkie pie-normal.

But yes I love the episode where she starts freaking out because she didn't leave enough time on her calendar to plan to make the next calendar

I would say yes, she seems very much like people with OCD.

Just so people know, OCD means Obssesive Compulsive Disorder, as you know she can be very obssesive, and compulsive.

So yes, she does in my opinion, but nothing is cannon so we can't actually know.

Her obsessive behaviour does seem to indicate that she has it, but I doubt the writers would ever explicitly say she has it. They'll just have her freak out more.

Well of course she is! I mean think about it! Why would anyone need to spell their name so much.

She also infected a lot of her friends. Poor ponies.

Yes, judging by her behavior in episodes such as Lesson Zero, I think it's pretty certain. It's not all bad though, if she wasn't so OCD, her planning and organizational skills might not have existed, which have proven helpful in the past. She also might not be as skilled at magic if it weren't for her "problem".

@@~Chaotic Discord~, Someone beat me to posting that picture I see. I laughed incredibly hard when I first saw that pic. Lesson Zero and It's About Time are two of my favorite episodes of MLP, and Twilight is insanely awesome in both of them. Edited by Infinite Sky

From what I have seen, I would have to say yes, she has OCD. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. (in my opinion)

Oh yeah. She definitely has OCD. Every character in this show has exactly one major flaw to them. One of the members on this site did a pretty detailed psychological analysis on the mane 6 awhile back, and it hit the nail on the head for the most part.

The flaws are one of the reasons why the characters work so well together.

Yes, she is OCD, everything has to be the way she wants its, everything must be perfect! This thread first off reminds me of Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. After watching that for a few months, I've compared him and Twilight with their habits. Example, Twilight likes being organized and having a daily schedule of writing a letter to Celestia. Sheldon has a schedule of what to eat each day and what will happen each day.
