Hey just made this, hope you like it... i just wanted to try this sort of light, dreamy effect.

but still, any suggestions? to blurry? too much sparkle?

ok guys, here is what you suggested :

and here's one that's blurry around the picture and more clear in the middle:

 

there you go, so what do you think i should use? just generally, not for anything specific...

I really like it... Very nice and calming.... As for suggestions?... Ummmm I guess it is just a teeny tiny bit too blurry... The sparkle and stuff is fine... But if it were up to me.. I would just make it a little less blurry...

But that aside... Very nice.... very nice indeed.... I really like it... (takes my mind off the stuff going on for me currently) ..... (Im really stressed)....... Buuuut yeah...It really is very calming and very peaceful.. great job....

Wow Amelia that pictures pretty swell, you see to have a talent with art type things real well

Thumbs up for Rainbow Dash whose 20% cooler, I'm no where near as good at as art unless I use a ruler.

 

How did you do the background it's really cool and pink? like those magic skies at dusk that start to make you think.

 

If it wasn't clear enough I think your pic is great, so nice one good job have a nice day mate

I'm actually thinking the very opposite of this. I like it when it's this blurry... but sparkles just doesn't really go that well with Rainbow Dash, in my opinion. A few of them, maybe... but yeah...

Well thats fair enough..... I just really liked the touch the sparkles gave... plus the sparkles kinda suited and made sense in this picture.... I mean rainbows are pretty much water.... So you would expect some sparkle from it..... Especially since there is alot of light in the picture..... (Above the clouds.... sun shining bright...) But yeah... I just personally liked the sparkle.. I just felt it gave the picture a little more life you know?

I would say too blurry. I think it would be better if the blur effect was most noticeable around the border of the image if you know what I mean.

 

But it is a really awesome picture

the second one with less blur looks best in my opinion because it make Rainbowdash stand out more but i like the last one as well the way the blur makes it feel like the vapor from the cloud is still following RD if that makes any sense

thank you. my goal is to make as many cheesy puns as possible so far i have Spidermare (Scootaloo) , MareDevil (Sweetiebell), Captain Amareica (Rainbow dash) and the Ponisher (Fluttershy)

just finished my Fluttisher drawing ans should be up soon (may put it in its own thread)

Before I criticize your work I must say I love it and I am by no means an artist and would not be capable of this in a million years, with that said I think it is a little to blurry. I think it does achieve the dreamy effect you are looking for though. Good work.
