Thanks a lot for the help. My only problem I'm finding with that site, though, is that I can't look up the prices of promo cards, and those are the ones I'm most interested in watching.

You will have to watch eBay for that one.

 

There isn't any kind of official price for those except for the cards that came in tins and boxes. All prices for the con promos are aftermarket retail, set by individual sellers rather than any official company.

2nd, would getting a VA to sign a card of their character make it worth more or less, especially with the exclusives or goldens? I would think this would be a no brainer yes, but back when I played Magic, I had some cards signed by the artists, and that made them worth less (or at least I was told).

Getting  a VA to sign a golden card would make its value go up, by quite a bit actually. Even just a basic character card (which is worth anywhere from $1-3) when signed can go for over $200

The value of the signed card depends on who signed it as well. For example, a gold Discord card signed by John De Lancie is going to be WAY more valuable than a Big Mac card signed by Peter New.

If you look, they all start at $200 bidding and $300 or more for Buy It Now. However, I have been looking and the same cards will stay on for days, possibly never getting sold. The price is too high for a lot of bronies these days. I think that the people who are willing to buy it for that much money have died down.

 

I almost bought one that was $225. Almost. But I just can't bring myself to spend that much money on a card. I will go $100 tops, especially since I don't know at this point if that card will stay high in value. The value may drop in 5 years for all we know. Especially if the game is coming out, people will stop being interested in con promos if they can't do anything in the game.

Welp, I got two more packs of cards today and found two Trixie standees. Not sure if I'm lucky or unlucky because I keep getting multiples of the rare cards, lol.

 

Anyway, is anyone looking for a Trixie standee? I'll gladly trade my extra.

All the talk of promos helped me stumble across the BronyCon exclusive. Completely slipped my mind to check for one afterwards. I wasn't planning to really hunt for promos until getting all the others, but.....one look at Princess Twilight was all it took. If I HAD to choose a favorite, it'd be her (hooves down). Here's a poorly taken picture!

 

 

 

 

Also, I'm about 2 trades away from completing my collection (save for golds and promos). Tradecardsonline has really helped!

 

And after getting lost in the mall yesterday, I found my first super fun pack (awesome filly poster) and this beauty:

 

 

 

ToysR'Us was the first store I entered, and somehow became the last. Glad I noticed it before leaving. I'd been waiting for this to come in at Toywiz for months. Good to see "Ponies Hug" was approved, too.

I believe that hottopic is only making 1 binder, it is the binder that you don't have. They are having a 25% off sale so at the moment isn't only $18.36! I may just go and get one today...

My Toywiz binder pre-order shipped today!!!! So excited!! Finally my series 1 binder won't be so full and heavy.

 

Also shout-out to Lady Rarity Pony for sending me a Twilight Sparkle BronyCon promo!! I just got it today and it is awesome. Definitely one of the best-looking cards in the set.

For what it had been going for previously, I would say that $200 isn't that bad. For a while it would cost $300 or more. The price is slowly dropping... and I would have dropped $200 on the RD series 1 promo recently if I could bring myself to do that.

Pinkie Pie, DJ P0N-3, Twilight Tin, and the Derpy tin are the only ones from series one. There is a Fluttershy box that has a series 2 card but the rest of the cards are series 1.

 

Keep in mind that there are several other promos that were con exclusives that are harder to get a hold of. They are sold for lots of money on eBay, if they are being sold at all. I am still missing Rainbow Dash. I hope to get her one day, but we'll see...

 

The S2/S2 assortment lunchbox tin has a Rainbow Dash foil from S2, so that makes two. 

 

It kinda sucks that the DJ-Pon3 card was just a foil of the normal Octavia/Vinyl card instead of having completely original art like the other exclusives.

When the card was first being sold on eBay, it was being sold for $95. I believed at one time that that was a ridiculously high price. Now I wish I could get the card for that low. XD

 

I do believe that at one point the card was sold for $900. Thankfully the card's price is shrinking...

The poor picture quality doesn't do it justice, but I'd recommend it to any collectors XD  (Check toywiz for better images )

 

A great puzzle set and an awesome binder! I prefer the Toy R' Us binder (Ponies Hug) over the one on Toywiz and Hot Topic, but take your pick.
