What happend to Twist?

Same thing happened to Richie's older brother after 1st season of Happy Days.

 

Chuck didn't get demoted to a background character, he just disappeared and was never mentioned again.

She disappeared never to be seen again...hopefully. Found her really annoying in her brief appearance and was even annoyed when she showed up in one of the comics.

i think she does appear during the episode where the CMC use Twilight's new Alicornhood to become popular, though she has no voiced role in the episode.

She was no longer needed, and unceremoniously dropped from the story.

 

Though she pops up in the background from time to time (and a couple of appearances in the IDW Comic). The good news is that she always seems to be happy when we see her, so we know she's doing well

Twist was a place holder pony which a lot

of ponies tend to play this role in the show

to move things along but I do feel sad a bit

that Applebloom would just drop her friend

like that or if Twist did,  I can see moving on

with friends and all but it would have been

nice to have a good closing to their friendship!

The sad thing about Twist is that she served a purpose, and that was to be AB's friend at the start. Once she got her CM, it helped to isolate AB that much more, even if that wasn't likely Twist wanted in the first place.

 

I doubt they writing staff wanted to introduce Scoots & Sweetie too early; or else that might've hurt the finale of that certain episode. In any case, Twist's role was fulfilled and she has be relegated to the background now; unfortunately.
