Ra1nbowCrasH 272 March 12, 2012 Share March 12, 2012 While it sounds reasonable, you did not account for the town-to-town differences between many places. Your school might be skewed for, while the number is actually much smaller. But it might be that you are in a bad situation and there are far more. Actually, I believe that the city I live in is fairly typical. Kansas City, MO has about 450,000 people. Also, the school I go to has 1100 students. https://www.fimfiction.net/bookshelf/709463/read-stories That's 5% of the last 4.5 years. Send help. Meanwhile, I can help you by reviewing your stories! The city folk will be more into technology and thus have chance of being on the internet then the people in the country.

Starswirl the Trixie 975 March 12, 2012 Share March 12, 2012 I got on a computer that I have never done anything pony on, went to Youtube, and tested. Winter Wrap Up is truly the top result for "wint-". Huzzah! Sadly, I have yet to find Bronies among my friends. People don't even know what a Brony is; once, someone took my iPhone when I wasn't looking. They began to look through my internet history, and then loudly announced that I was looking at pages entitled "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". I quickly got my phone back, dismissing the ponies with "Someone told me to look at that." Out of the 6ish people who were around me, only one seemed to have even heard of our fanbase, and he only knew it because a science instructor had shown him the "Physical impossibilities of MLP" video. If I don't want to wear a pony shirt in public, any advice to finding Bronies? #SOCKS

Warbalist 133 March 12, 2012 Share March 12, 2012 If I don't want to wear a pony shirt in public, any advice to finding Bronies? Wear a pony shirt in public! But, seriously, take some risks. I'm lucky enough to have fairly open-minded friends that really know what I'm normally into (martial arts, shred guitar, dark aesthetic, etc.), and they know when I'm really being serious about something. All it took for me to convince some of my friends is to get them to watch the Discord episodes. Being Star Trek fans, they loved the fact that Q was in it and had to know more about this crazy show we all love. But yeah, take risks; it's the only way to discover your next brony friend, but please don't blame me if it all crashes down! http://www.youtube.com/user/warbalist
Kraznor 33 March 12, 2012 Share March 12, 2012 According to Wikipedia, the monthly viewership was at 4 million by the end of season 1. And that is only via conventional broadcasts and stuff Hasbro has tabs on (so no YouTube, torrents, or livestreams). I myself have only been in on this for just over three weeks, and I've talked to friends who say they have siblings/other friends who are also into the show, so it seems to have spread really quickly over the last 15 months. Really though, the answer is: not big enough. This show deserves everyone's attention. Not saying be pushy about it, but I'd advise against hiding it as well. 1 According to some survey somewhere, most like Rainbow Dash. Was not expecting that result but I suppose it makes sense. Spark 101 March 12, 2012 Share March 12, 2012 Well, a couple weeks ago, I turned one of my friends into a brony. I suspect that this has been happening with many of us, and with the size of the brony community, the growth of bronies must be amazing. In fact, I'm surprised i only found out about it through the internet on accident. don't click this link... I used to be a stranger 7,994 March 12, 2012 Share March 12, 2012 (edited) My high estimate would be 1.5 million globally. About 50% of such are the vocal group that declare themselves bronies, while the other 50% are much quieter about it. Less than 25% of it are interested in clop-etc. grimdark, violence or other deviant interests within the brony purview. My esitmate would be 3-5 million for actual viewership of the show in the capacity it was designed for eg: little girls. Therefore it is reasonable to assume that there are probably in the realm of 750,000 parents who watch the show as a consequence, who may or may not also be bronies themselves. Also how fast do you think are fandom is growing and how big do you think it would become? Note: Couldn't find a thread here talking about this using search. Twiliscael 3,960 July 1, 2012 Share July 1, 2012 Does it matter? I personally think that we shouldn't grow much more, so many people ruins the novelty of being that standalone who watches a show for little girls. I've heard some "veteran" bronies claim that it you became a brony in 2012the, you hardly count as a brony, more of a follower. Personally, don't know, din't care. I have my brony forums witha great community, my brony griends,my brony video game servers, my brony art and music, and that's enough for me 1 I tend to take the high road, get stoned, and fly low . . .
