3.5Ghz i7 Quad Core Intel 4770k

32GB Ram

GTX 780M (4GB)

I dual boot OSX, and Windows 8.1. I also run Windows Xp and Windows 7 through parralels

Mine's an older (five years) custom home built computer with the following specs:

AMD Athlon x64 5000 (2.8 Ghz) processor

M2N68AM-2 mainboard

4 gigs XDDR 3 memory

Samsung EVO840 250 GB SSD SATA local disk

Seagate ST1000DM003 1 Terabyte SATA storage drive

2 LG GS24NS90 SATA DVD drives

nVidia GTX550ti graphics card.

Coolermaster CM Storm custom CPU case.

Emerson 40" HDTV as monitor, HDMI connected

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Logitech MK520 wireless keyboard/mouse

Atheros AR3011 Bluetooth dongle

Arctic P311 wireless bluetooth headset.

post-31850-0-05745800-1422914068_thumb.jpg

(Just took this pic with my cell phone.)

Edit:Update: Added another SATA HDD for Acronis system and game backups. So, now, three HDDS.

(If you don't have Acronis Backup I strongly recommend it. Nice thing is you don't even have to have the program installed on your computer to use it. Here's how: Temporarily install Acronis backup on your system. Using your CD/DVD drive create an Acronis Emergency Backup/Restore boot disk. Uninstall Acronis backup and, from that point on, use the Emergency Boot Disk to create/restore backups. Note: this approach works best if you have a second drive on your PC. If not, create a new partition on your primary drive, give it a drive letter (D works good) and save your backups there.)

I also recommend Geek Uninstaller (An awesome freeware program) for removing unwanted or no longer used programs from your system because it cleans out everything connected with that program, leaves no junk behind.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33GHZ

RAM: 4GB DDR2

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 1GB

HDD: 500GBs 7200rpm

Used to be a pre-built one I bought YEARS ago, but I replaced the motherboard, case, power supply and GPU. Now it does pretty much everything I need it to do quite fast. Fortunately I don't do Video Editing or anything that requires mad specs and I have a PS4 for gaming. Given my meager wage, I'm not going to upgrade it anytime soon as long as it can run Dark Souls and Minecraft (which is all I still play on PC)

Depends which computer you're talking about!

Currently I'm using some crappy Dell Inspiron from 2005. I'd guess around 1-1.5 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB HDD, Running Ubuntu 12.something.

Next to me is the NEC Versa M500 with 1.5 GHz of memory, a 55 GB HDD, running Windows XP.

And Downstairs is my awesome-ness Inspiron with 4 GB of RAM, 3 GHz processor speed, and it WAS running Windows 7 with Ubuntu 12.something...

But I dropped a magnet on top of the hard drive...

I'm currently on a Fujitsu laptop. 3.7 GiB RAM (yes, that is an odd quantity), Intel® Core™ i5 CPU M 520 @ 2.40GHz × 4, 120.7 GB HDD, running Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS.

I do have a desktop machine with 4 GB RAM, and two 3.2 GHz dual-core processors, running some older version of Ubuntu —12.04.3 LTS I think. Although it's lightning fast once it's running, it takes ages to boot up, and the fans sound like an aeroplane preparing for take-off. So it rarely gets much usage these days.

Just an average joe laptop with an i3 and HD 3000. It's able to do the basics well, but playing modern games at a decent FPS is out of the question.

I'd like to invest in a solid gaming laptop or desktop sometime soon.

We also recently brought new life to an old Dell Latitude D630 laptop that was sitting around by giving it a new hard drive and installing Windows 7 on it. It's got a Core 2 Duo at 2.2 ghz and only 1gb of RAM, but it's able to do the basics of web browsing and HD Youtube streaming relatively well. I may as well spend 10 or so bucks for an extra GB of ram so I can do more than two things at once without running out.

Ha! Mine is terrible

Running on Windows 7, 64bit, seems professional but until you see my hardware... 2GB RAM, 2.93GHz, Intel Duo Core 2, NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT....

Bought it 6 years ago, surprisingly still functioning, probably take care of this PC really well ;)
