mycarhasaMoustache 449 December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 My first game was Pokemon red for the original game boy (witch I still have ) I got all the games up until It moved to the ds that was the point I realised It was time to hang up my pokedex and call it a day. I have no interest in the pokemon games on the ds as there are far to many pokemon I think Ill stick with my 150 thanks.

Antismurf9001 1,271 December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 I just recently finished a ridiculous quest of epic proportions in Pokemon Red. The goal: as I progress through the game, I must obtain every pokemon that I can, and at the conclusion I must have a complete pokedex (including mew) (trading is acceptable for pokemon unobtainable in that version, and glitches can be exploited only if necessary (ie. mew)). All pokemon that I own must be within 5 levels of each other or must be trained until they are (its fine though if I catch it at a higher level). It ended with 80 separate pokemon, all at level 55 (except mewtwo). The time that it took to complete is unknown because the cartridge cannot physically calculate anything more than 255 hours (take a moment to think about that). Yeah, I can kind of be obsessive about things when I want to be... As for favorite gens, I'd have to go with 1 and 2. 3 was alright (I think that it was less the pokemon designs and more the game's story that bothered me), and I wasn't a fan of 4, but 5 was amazing. However, it just can't beat the nostalgic feel of 1 and 2. 1 "Ceterum censeo background ponies delendas esse" - Stellafera Credit for the Octavia vector goes to the awesome Harmonic Revelations Credit for the creation of my avatar and signature goes to the amazing Wubsie Once again, thanks! mycarhasaMoustache 449 December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 Isn't it just nice with more variety? It's not like you can capture all 649 Pokemon in one game. If you used to like Pokémon I'd recommend trying out Pokemon SoulSilver/HeartGold or Black/White 2. SS and HG are remakes of Gold and Silver (which you may or may not have played, but either way they're very similar) and BW2 are in my opinion the best since Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. I played Ruby Sapphire and Emerald but lost interest in them since there is so much stuff you cant get or do unless you went to Nintendo events and since the over all goal of the game is to "catch them all" It kinda sucks that you are given a game you can never complete without cheating. Aaramus 449 December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 Currently doing a Fire Red run through with the Nuzlocke challenge rules. It does make a nice change to my usual run-throughs where I'll have the same party as I normally do. At the second gym and I've already lost two Pokemon, my poor Pidgey Pete and Eddy the Paras

angels_gal 204 December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 I have a question for every pony! Do you ponies EV train your pokemon? If there's anyone who doesn't know what that is, It's a way to get the best performance out of your pokemon. or pokemon that normally don't fare too well in certain areas you can make better. My EV trained gliscor took a STAB Ice beam and lived with 2 hit points left. Pixel Art made by the talented Bruno!
KirbyFluttershy 2,523 December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 To Answer That Question, I EV train my Pokemon, but that depends on what pokemon I'm training. Me and My friend were working together on what nature is best for the Pokemon and then We Just experiment the stats. If our experiment doesn't work, we can just re-advise the pokemon stats. To Find out that I properly EV trained the pokemon, I just normally go to the person that checks the EVs, but In B/W2, I normally just call up Bianca and check on the Efforts on the pokemon in the team. Danny Phantom 9 December 15, 2012 Share December 15, 2012 Luxray is amazing. There's no doubt about that. Another favorite of mine is Darkrai! It was the first event Pokemon that I ever got! AmarisNsane 2,730 December 24, 2012 Share December 24, 2012 I do love pokemon. Mostly for it's games of course. I used to watch the anime as well but quite honestly got pretty bored/tired of it pretty quickly. I stopped watching late Johto to early Hoenn, I think. I've always liked the video games, though! Always good fun. Although the newest games (Versions black and white) I'm not quite as fond of. It's a good game, but the pokemon just seem...eh... I don't know. There are a few I really like, but a lot of them just seem rather off, admittedly. I do still consider myself a fan though, of the games as I still do love to play and battle others with my own teams! Gengar was always my favorite. <3 There with me since the beginning! Thank you for the amazing signature, @Sparklefan1234! ❤w❤
Rudolphin 76 December 26, 2012 Share December 26, 2012 Alright so I am unsure if anyone has posted this, but if you are a fan of Red and a more mature pokemon style I would recommend this read. This manga is the tale of Red and the characters you play in the game. I have started reading them and has explained alot. Did you know the elite four was evil? Great read and again mature its not just all cutie and what not it has actual dark scenarios. http://manga.animea.net/pokemon-adventures.html I hope everyone enjoys this series. I sure am. If you can buy them defiantly do only problem is finding them, but this site allows for all 400+ to be read. There are some minor translation errors, but it shouldn't ruin anything. Sanic Screwdriver 345 December 27, 2012 Share December 27, 2012 What'd you guys think of b/w 2? I thought it was o.k I might have found it better if I didn't go through the game under-leveled. I'm at the elite 4 and too lazy to train
angels_gal 204 December 27, 2012 Share December 27, 2012 I really liked black and white 2! I really really loved black tower and white tree hollow (I have both games, but haven't beaten either of them yet) but one of my ultimate favorite new cities is himalau city. not only that but the marine tube which was absolutely freaking amazing. twistdapony 31 January 2, 2013 Share January 2, 2013 My favourite pokemon is Cubone. :3 who thinks cubone is cute as h*ll?! It's so depressing just makes you wanna hug him so hard and never let go. ;_;
Kapi 215 January 2, 2013 Share January 2, 2013 I think Black 2 has to be my favoritest game. I've never hit 75 hours in a single save file, and its the first game I have legitimately raised a Pokemon to level 100 (Emboar: 73 hours). I really like all the improvements over the original Black and White, and while I kinda wish more features from Platinum and HG/SS returned (Contests, Battle Frontier, Walking Pokemon, touchscreen controls, etc) I'm incredibly satisfied. And, and, aw crap, PWT. Serious nostalgic overload there. Every single Gym Leader and Champion in the series with incredibly remixed music. Pure epicness right there. Fluttermoon 192 January 3, 2013 Share January 3, 2013 Me me! I love Pokemon! I've been playing the new White 2 game! I'm having an enjoyable time with it. There is so much more that has been added to it from the first one. There are some similarities but also a lot of differences. Trying to catch legendary Pokemon and running into the same Pokemon over and over will always be the same though. hehehe.. I support Princess Twilight Sparkle. Kapi 215 January 8, 2013 Share January 8, 2013 (edited) If you want to watch the video announcement made today, check this link: http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/archive/01-08-2013/ The actual announcement starts about 5 minutes in, for the first part, Iawata just looks at the past Pokemon games. If you don't want to watch the video, I've recapped in the spoiler below. Pokemon X and Pokemon Y were just announced by Nintendo, they will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in October 2013 in all regions. These games start the sixth gen of Pokemon. It looks AMAZING, it is fully 3D, looks like you can customize your Trainer, and more. At the end, they talk about how the development team is tackling localization. Instead of releasing in Japan, and then in other countries, the game is coming out everywhere at once. Its a bit of a wait--10 months in fact-- but it will be worth it. Meet the Starters: The Grass Type Starter, Chesspin The Fire Type Starter, Fennekin The Water Type Starter, Froakie Anyone want a wild Pikachu? You have to watch the video yourself, but the battles look amazing! The whole game is 3D now, battles and all. They look amazing. Envy 6,169 January 8, 2013 Share January 8, 2013 Chespin looks way too much like nothing more than a combination of Oshawott and Emolga. Not that I care too much, I never pick the Grass starters. The water starter looks better than Oshawott, although Oshawott grew on me in the end. I'm glad that Pokemon is moving in 3D, and the battle graphics look really good. But the field/gameplay graphics remind me of the Zelda DS games... It's a bit underwhelming, to say the least. It's a 2D world in 3D, not a 3D world in 3D, if you get what I'm saying. But I'll wait to judge it. 1 Everything needs more woodwind!

Anyway, I usually don't pick the Grass Type, but who knows? I really like the battle graphics. They're pretty cool looking, and if the animations stay the way they are, it'll be better than any of the console games. But like you said, the field looks too... weird to me. I mean, its a nice change, but it just looks awkward in a Pokemon game. Heck, I'd even be fine if they just took the graphics of B2/W2 and played with the camera a bit. "No, I am not going to run, I am not going to hide, I am going to take a stand and fight!"
