Hi everyone. I enjoy shipping a lot and I have a few questions for anyone who is willing to answer them.

1: Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie

 

2: I suppose it was during Griffon the Brush Off, when it seemed like Pinkie had an unusual obsession with Dash and started stalking her. After that when they bonded it was really cute and it won me over.

 

3: I really like the lightheartedness and freedom of their characters and I just find the pairing to be uniquely adorable

 

4: Where Your Heart Is, a fic by Cloudy Skies. It's really enjoyable and it made me love this pairing even more

2. As soon as I finished "Sweet and Elite". Only reinforced by the photo of them together in "A Canterlot Wedding".

3. He is much more awesome than Prince Blueblood, and their colouring matches nicely. Plus Rarity really deserves a stallion like him, and she apparently like mustaches (If her reaction to Flam is any indication.)

4. I don't read fanfics, although I sometimes have to resist the urge to write one.

2. Um...I think ever since I liked AJ, I officially declared her to be my waifu.

1. AppleDash. TwiJack is a close second and RariJack is third. No duh, I'm not an AJ fan

2. I liked any shipping with AJ, so.

3. AppleDash is common, popular, and sweet. More legit than TwiDash at any rate. TwiJack is my two fave ponies shipped together, plus I think they're close as well. RariJack is very interesting because they're almost opposites, kind of why people like FlutterDash.

4. There are many AppleDash stories I've read and loved.

 

Cupcake Chronicles, Upon Wings of Sacrifice, and Those Blue Wings are a select few that stand out.

 

TwiJack...not as many -_- I liked Forbidden Fruit by Vargras.

 

RariJack is The Fires of Friendship by Ponydora Prancypants. So very well written, and very sweet <3

I like Big Mac and Fluttershy. Both are very docile, quiet, and kind. It would be a good match in the least.

2. Somewhere between watching Griffon the Brush-Off for the first time and checking out a Rainbow Pie story on FIMfiction.

 

3. They're two of my favorites and I think they get along really well. Maybe it's all headcanon, but I I get a slightly different vibe when it's just the two of them on the show. Like in Griffon, the buffalo/settler ponies episode, and Party of One. (Why was it Rainbow who came to get her and not any of the others?) Plus they look really cute together.

 

4. I still haven't found THE ultimate Rainbow Pie fic, but I've read a lot of good ones...damn, how can I pick a favorite? One Bet, Acquiesce, Sweet Nothings, Cotton Candy Dreams... (Good luck finding them all on your own though. FIMfictioners, knowing how poorly their site is organized, have thoughtfully hunted down as much PinkieDash as they can and put it in this folder, which is my new home. http://www.fimfictio...group&group=230) Where Your Heart Is is also great, DashForever, so thanks a ton for showing it to me. Read the whole thing in one sitting because I couldn't stop. ^^

I have several ships I enjoy for different reasons, but I guess I'll pick my top.

 

SpitDash

 

 

• There wasn't any specific episode, but after seeing The Best Night Ever and seeing Spitfire and Dash interact again, I began to enjoy Spitfire's character a lot. Today she's my favorite BG pony, and I noticed that to me, their personalities were very compatible.
• Dash is a hothead tomboy, meanwhile, Spitfire's clearly got the tomboy attitude as well, albeit toned down since she's not as much a hot head as Dash is, or, at least from what we've seen thus far. I feel like Spitfire is one of those personality types who's mature enough and relaxed enough to deal with Dash's high-level maintenance and even appreciate it. Spitfire might have a severe temper too when she get's angry, but again, she has maturity that surpasses Dash easily.
• I don't have a specific fiction for this pairing yet, no. I should read some more of them on FIMFiction. I'll edit my post if I ever find one.

• Since reading the fiction Yours Truly by Thanqoi
• The fact that they are basically opposites makes them merge so well and balance each other. While Dash is very assertive and aggressive, Fluttershy is very shy and submissive. This makes for a perfect romance of give and take between the two.
• I want to say Yours Truly but that was more based around TwiJack, I'm going to say the fiction How We Met by Rated Pony Star.

I love the whole oppisets attrack thing. They are from two compleatly diferent music backrounds, but find a way to make them mix with the chemistry between themselves.

I really liked that story, it actually made Twidash leapfrog Flutterdash as my 2nd favorite pairing which I never expected to happen

2: After I wrote some disturbing-ass fanfiction.

3: For IW, I love the fact that Iron Will is this seven foot wall of muscle and assertiveness, and Featherweight is this little anorexic *itch. Twinps is just cute, in my disturbing opinion

4: Haven't seen any for either just yet. Mostly cuz no one is as sick as I am.

You win this thread, in my book. Their girly/boyish dynamic really shines through, even in such unexpected sources like The Scootaloo Diaries.

 

AppleDash wins a lot of points for its contrasting takes on the ultimate leading female.

 

DashFire wins a lot of points for its painful amalgamation of skill + balls (Spitfire) versus balls + skill (Dash). This one holds a very special place for me.

 

Fuck it...I can't pick a favorite. A fantastically written story is fantastic, no matter the origin of the character(s) involved.

2: It all started with a series of hypotheticals exchanged between a friend and I, about "What if X and Y were shipped together, and how would it play out?" When we eventually got to Octavia and Vinyl Scratch, it played out like, "Well I'd see Vinyl Scratch as being a total lesbo, considering that Skrillex is gay and they're both pretty much associated with Dubstep." followed up by "Octavia is totes in the closet- just look at that pink tie."

3: Teh musiks.

4: I've actually only read one after getting a recommendation of it, that one being Allegrezza. It was faaaaaantastic.

1. I have no favourite. I enjoy quite a few. My top ones would most likely be Twilight and Trixie.

2. This came about when I started to read fanfics. I read one and instantly knew I would like it.

3. It's just such an interesting ship because they almost hated each other in the show.

4. The main one was The Fascinating yet Obvious Twixie. It was the first one I read, and by far an epic one.

 

Now I do enjoy other ships, which do include, Octavia X Vinyl, which has some interesting stories including Allgrezza and Vinyl and Octavia University Days(If you have not heard of this one and enjoy shipping I would so reccomend it).

 

Really I can read any ship but those are by far the top two.

I know some good Pinkiedash fanfics, one of my favorites is "My First Party" the story doesn't fully rotate around the ship, but it is quite adorable in some scenes ^.^

Ah, thanks for pointing that out... i honestly don't like using the term Canon as well... is it so hard to say Official? or something along those lines...
