gaming What kind of loser you are?

If it's multiplayer, I get angry sometimes; mainly because in some games I play, like Tekken 6, everyone I go up against spams the crap out of one attack; but if it's single player, I get mad a lot, especially when I almost beat a boss and end up dying.

Well, ask me this question one year ago and I would've said enough to make an old woman wish she could bitch slap my entire generation and smash every video game in America. But, after 9 months straight of Fallout New Vegas, I can play video games without (mostly) getting mad. If there's a guy saying "pfft, fuck you" "o mi god camper" "dumb n***er using an mp7" every 5 seconds, I get annoyed. When I'm doing awful, but I'm on the exact opposite of the zone, and can't swallow my (nonexistant, bs) pride to leave the game, I get mad. Not like throw your controller mad, but just frustrated button mashing kind of mad. If I get killed by a guy's care package that bounced off of 30 rooftops and managed to hit me, I'll literally send them a message saying I love you to them. Yep, gaming's fun.

I've broken many things in frustration with games, I have a very short fuse and when I'm angry I break things, I've broken a few Razer Mambas and PS3 controllers from throwing them, keyboards from slamming my fists in them and monitors from punching them, if you looked closely at any of my console controllers you'd see teeth marks in them where I have bitten them out of anger :/

Honestly, it ranges for me...a lot. Sometimes I shrug it off, other times I throw my controller. I believe it is based on my effort in the game, and the constancy of it (I don't like repeating things).

Hey, this thread wa made the day I joined. :D

Anyway, it depends on the game, and how long I've been playing it for. I it's like an FPS, I'll get really mad. But I it's like a normal game, I won't get AS mad. However, I it's a level or something I've been working on for awhile, I'll get angrier.

It varies. Sometimes I'm just like, "Meh, it's fun anyway." But then other times (particularly when I'm already in a sort of bad mood), I will let it get to me and go absolutely apesh[yay]t. So I generally try to stay away from anything competitive, 'cause it's not worth getting angry about.

It depends on the situation but most times I don't rage, I don't get angry, or at least not very angry when I fail to beat a score in Flappy Bird.  If I am playing Halo and I die in an odd way such as running into my own grenade, it is hilarious.  I get a bit angry when I am killed by someone who uses the same technique such as firing rockets or constantly trying to hit me with his vehicle, but of course, learn the strategy, and you can use his technique against him.

It's just gaming, it's supposed to be fun.

Try, try, try again. I ain't lettin' no game beat me! If I find it difficult in a stupid way or too time-consuming I might quit, but generally, I play until either conquer the challenge or I've had enough of the game.

I get a bit miffed with losing, but I don't get mad and yell or throw things :D It's just like "Well, ughhhh. Alright.' and then I move on with my life :D

Of course, that's only when I'm in a serious competition of sorts - when it's something not serious, like playing Board Game Online with my friends, I don't even care :D I just screw around and have a good time.

Calm, calm, calm, calm, WTF ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING YOU BUCKING IDIOTS IF YOU JUST DO THIS THIS & THIS WE COULD HAVE WON ggwp. That is literally how it goes for me after a particularly bad game of league. However if I know we lost because of something out of our control or after a particularly close teamfight or something, it is less anger inducing. It is mostly after the completely stomped or people refusing to communicate times that I get angry

Hmm, lets see, I swear loudly, and I sometimes chuck my controller on the ground or react like this:

Except without the dialogue.

I don't really rage at all when I lose in a video game, unless if it's Mario Kart or a first-person shooter. I am hopeless when it comes to those two. :P

If it's local, competitive play I'm usually a good loser and a not-seriously-arrogant winner (I'll say things jokingly, if at all - usually with intent to amuse); though I don't often get to play the sort of games I'm good at with family members.  Online multiplayer?  Sometimes I get SO so nervous.  The entire experience could potentially be ruined for me.  And I'll get frustrated if it's a type of game I don't particularly like / am only playing so that I can participate with family members who encourage me to play it.  I don't do the last thing so much anymore - I'm miserable when playing something like CoD.  Utterly.

If it's offline I can be as cool as a cucumber, "Come on - one more try.  I can do this."  Or I can spontaneously spout the most disgusting and offensive things you have ever heard lol.  Once I was playing a game where I finally managed to beat an extraordinarily annoying boss...  And the power WENT OUT right after / before I had a chance to save.  I made a noise that I swear was not wholly human in nature.  A bestial, animal noise - I think I scared myself.  But then I turned right around and fought / defeated the boss again and saved right quick; so I'm not easily deterred.

Mario Kart is THE most often rage-inducing game series that ever existed lol.  It's a good thing that I also absolutely adore it. xD

It depends on the game.  I tend to bottle up my negative emotions but I tend to get more disappointing with myself than angry at the fact that I lost.  Nonetheless, If I'm ever playing Halo, and someone online jumps over me for the kill, I will rage extreme and spew all sorts of evil shit.  I react a lot worse to "unskilled kills" gathered on me than I do to losing a match;  especially when the enemy think they're hot shit >.>  I used to rage at League a few months ago, but then my roommate told me that I have to pretend every death is only my fault so I improved drastically.  Now I keep calm, wait for the enemy to throw and win games I was meant to lose.  I also don't go on tilt anymore.

Speaking of raging at losing...

I remember once going to a good friends house, whipping his "tournament level" ass in Smas Bros Melle, and then having him kick me out and no longer want to be friends.  I was being nice too.  :c
