Have You Changed Your Favorite Mane 6 Pony Since You Started Watching?

I love all of the Mane 6 but i love Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie the most. Primarily because i see so much of myself in them. I always wanna party and im the type of person that will try extreme things without hesitation. If someone told me i could go Skydiving right now id go without thinking about it. I like Fluttershy because she is exactly who i was in my childhood. I didnt talk to anyone i didnt like doing things infront of people and i never ever EVER projected my voice or any degree of assertiveness. I go through a Twilight phase every now and then because I love random facts about things that most people dont know about. I love to read about ancient civilizations and peoples from the past. We all have a little Rarity in us becuase we like to take pride in our appearance. Applejack inspires when we have to work. I live on the East Coast of the US and leaves fall like crazy here. My yard is huge and i felt like Applejack during "Applebuck Season" when i was raking them up. I love the Mane 6 its hard for me to pick one! Although the name Pinkamena is really cool

I first liked Fluttershy, as she was just a different character.  I then switched to Twilight, then to Applejack, and now it's Rarity.

Here's what I mean...when I first saw a few episodes of the show, this intelligent pony was my favorite:

 

Twilight Sparkle.

 

Yes, I realize she didn't have wings at the beginning, but meh, I like her with wings.

 

 

But, as I finished the show and rewatched some episodes, this beautiful pony became my favorite and still is my favorite all time pony:

 

Rarity.

 

So, I wanted to know....who was your original favorite and who is your favorite now?

 

Is it the same pony when you first saw the show, or did it change a little or a lot?

When I first watched the show, Fluttershy was my favorite. To this day that hasn't changed (She's actually been my favorite since before I was a brony)

It went from that to Rarity, she's my favorite out of the Mane six if I had to choose one. I generally like all of them except for Fluttershy, I do still think Fluttershy has a place in the show though.

before i considered myself a brony, i would watch the episodes and always like apple jack the most, since she is supposed to be a Southern stereotype and i live in the south. later on, i changed my mind to fluttershy.

First thing that got me into the show was Celestia+Luna. But as I watched the show I got to really like the Mane Six. I don't really have ONE favorite character. I like all of these.

At first, Fluttershy was my absolute favorite. Her personality is a lot like mine and I connected to the character pretty quick. Then, after MMC, Twilight became tied with Fluttershy for my top spot. I realized how much I love her personality and I really love that she is an Alicorn now. Because of that, insta-brohoof for liking the wings.

I didn't have an issue with pointing fingers at my favorite. The very first episodes I saw threw me towards Rarity. When it comes to mane 6, with each episode my list changed, but Rarity remained uncontested, outclassing everyone else.

 

I think that when S3 finished, I watched a few eps again, and encountered Green Isn't Your Color. That's when I realized I didn't give enough attention to background chars, and for the first time in 14-15+ months Rarity fell down to second place, while Lotus Blossom took her place.

 

Although I'm reconsidering my list once more right now, so I am not sure how I'll end up this time One thing is sure though, Rarity can't fall any lower than 2nd place.

Look before you sleep was the first episode I saw. It only had, AJ, Twi, and Rarity in it.

I hated Rarity.

AJ was my favorite. She's so cute and reminds me of myself.

 

 

after I watched more episodes I really liked RD too.

So now AJ and RD are tied :3

Pinkie Pie.. simply because her character took me (and still does) completely by surprise when I started watching the show.

I knew before watching that she was the one who liked to party, but I had no idea she'd be one of the funniest characters in the whole show. (Don't know why I didn't see that coming, but I guess Pinkie is all about surprises).

When I first saw the show I was looking for Derpy, I watched ep 1+2 season 3 then I started watching season 1 the same day. Then it happened I saw the cutest, most adorable thing in the world. Fluttershy, I had seen her say "Yay" in a video before giving season 1 a chance. So I was also looking for her but after seeing episode 1 I just.. I fell in love with her, she reminded me of myself and that connection I just really liked her. She is still my favorite, all I want to do is hug her. It's hard being so close to her, yet so far away.

 

I wish I could be with her.. :/ I'll stay loyal to my Fluttershy, she'll always be my favorite.

When I first became aware of what a cool cartoon MLP:FiM was, it was Rainbow Dash who caught my eye and my attention...

 

 

 

 

...but since then it was Fluttershy who captured my heart.

When I first watched the show, Applejack was my favorite. I adored her design (still do), and loved her voice. 

 

 

 

 

But now, Fluttershy is my favorite. I like her personality a bit better, and I can relate to her. Also, she is adorable.

When I first got into the show, I was a huge Fluttershy fanboy. I absolutely adored her, and I found her to be very relatable as well. I thought that she was always going to be my favorite pony, but as I got more and more into the show and its fandom, I started to become more and more interested in Rainbow Dash.

 

I didn't care much for Rainbow Dash at all when I first started watching the series, and I found her to be really insensitive at times. As the show progressed though, her good qualities became more and more noticeable, and I really loved seeing that positive character change. For example, in season 3, it's plain to see that she's become much more supportive and friendly toward Fluttershy, and she's not as conceited with her friends. I really loved seeing this change, because it's what the show is all about: ponies learning lessons in friendship and changing for the better as a result. It's true that this applies to all the members of the Mane 6, but it was so much more noticeable for Rainbow Dash to me, since I found her to be rather unpleasant in the very beginning. I ended up really liking her because of this, and she also became more beautiful physically to me. I just couldn't get enough of RD at that point, and she kept climbing and climbing until she overthrew Fluttershy as my favorite pony.

 

I'll always love Fluttershy, but Rainbow Dash really appealed to me over time, and it's interesting to look at things now and compare them to how things were back then. If there's anything I love, it's the feeling of something or someone you didn't care for initially to totally grow on you, and Rainbow Dash did just that.

My original favorite, I would have to say was Rainbow Dash. Now I like Twilight more though, but Rainbow Dash is still cool. Twilight is just so adorkable, and she's the main character, but first seeing the show, how could you not be impressed with rainbow dash?

Well, the first time I watched the show... God, I remember I laughed when I heard the name out of nearly all the mane 6. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie.. but Twilight Sparkle was just priceless. I got used to it quckly though. Back when I began watching the show, Applejack was my favorite, but after while, I switched to Rainbow Dash. Not that I think anyone of them is the best character, that goes for Rarity.

I just started out my favorites were Fluttershy and Rarity. I don't quite remember what first made me like Fluttershy (probably because I'm pretty shy at times) but for Rarity it was her interaction with Sweetie Belle and being the artist of the group. But then I saw Return of Harmony and loved Applejack ever since.

Rainbow Dash. She's spunky and is the most aesthetically pleasing to look at. Not to mention you're going to latch onto the tomboy when you start gettng into a girly show. RD is there to meet you halfway.

 

Since then, I would have to go with Pinkie Pie, since she's the clownish comic relief and makes me happy. Twilight Sparkle is a close second, as the nerd girl protagonist. Although I think RD is moving back up the list.

Since the first episode I saw was "The Last Roundup"  Derpy was my favorite pony! 

Applejack was my favorite pony, then Rarity came along and stole the show.

My favorite when I first started watching was Applejack, I didn't know what it was but there something I liked about her. As I kept watching more and more episodes my list of reasons for loving AJ just kept on growing and is actually still growing. I love AJ more than ever before now, but my favorite is now a three way tie between Applejack, Luna and Twilight Sparkle. I liked the redemption story from Nightmare Moon back to Luna and related strongly to Luna's struggles to fit into a society of ponies that still fear and hate her and I started to like her more and more as I kept rewatching Luna Eclipsed and read some fanfics with her in them.

 

Twilight joined these two after twilicorn was announced, she was my 2nd favorite pony at the time. I opposed it because I felt it was too soon and was concerned that she would become an overpowered Mary Sue, the reason why it pushed her over the top is because it did in its odd way remind me of what I actually like about her. Granted, it was exactly the reminder I would have liked but it was effective. I eventually became neutral after Equestria Girls which turned out better than expected, as to whether or not Twilight will stay up there or not is going to depend on whether or not twilicorn is actually going to work out which nobody really knows for sure. Despite this tie though in most polls I tend to vote for Applejack over the other two simply because she is so ridiculously underrated and is a bit special to me as she was the first pony I actually too a liking to.

It was Twilight and still is Twilight, I think once or twice Rarity was my favourite pony but it's gone back to Twilight. I dunno why.
