I've recently noticed that many people on teh internets, especially on this forum, are against some words that, perhaps, are overused. My question to you:

"Do you dislike these terms?"

and

"Are these terms overused?"

I am personally a user of these words and I think they deliver an important message. Sorry, haters :P

I don't mind if people say these words at all, but if they use it in every single sentence that they say, it can get annoying sometimes. But generally I don't mind the words at all or people saying it. :)

"You haz a problem with mah SWAG BRO? YOLO!!!"

I do not dislike the terms, but more along the lines don't like how people use them. They are greatly overused today, but I just gone to ignoring them overall.

They are the most annoying words on the planet, but a blast to use to parody. I can't take those obsessed with these words though, even though I say them a lot in jest.

I didn't know Octavia was so popular I mean she is like, one of the best background ponies but I thought Derpy was the most popular. Also whats all this about TM87? I didn't know Swagger was such a useful move. Eh maybe it's good in competitive battling.

Hmm.

I like to take YOLO as a life lesson.

If you want something out there, and it's bothering you, go and get it. Because truly, you only live once. This is your only chance.

Eh, that's just my opinion.

I am being completely serious when I say this, I thought swag meant secretly we are gay. Turns out you hear the "other" definition of it when exposed to the wrong kind of people. Even though Y.O.L.O. has a good message, it is overused as a response for everything.

The mind of the host will desperately try to create memories where none exist. Simple right?

Both of them are equally annoying and stupid. Whenever people say swag, I just want to punch them in the face. It's such an annoying word, and it makes you sound like a douchebag when you say it. I feel the same way about YOLO.

Yes, they've both been overused by people who don't even know what those words mean. So goes pop culture, every once in a while kids will star spewing the next dumb catchphrase. Remember the 80's? Tubular!

YOLO is an excuse to take no responsibility for ones own actions. its basically a "get out of jail free card" for the irresponsible.

ive been over swag a few times already, so i choose not to get into it a second time. stay classy

YOLO has been taken to the furtherest extremes. I've seen it used to justify some really stupid stuff.

"I'm gonna have sex without a condom 'cause YOLO!"

"I'm going to shirk all my responsabilities and do only what I want! YOLO!"

"I'm gonna leave this chick I just knocked up because I wanna party! YOLO!

"I'm gonna try hard core drugs 'cause YOLO!!"

It basically became an excuse for every stupid thing someone wanted to do: YOLO /facepalm

Personally, words are words. Nobody should let words bother them so much! If you wanna say YOLO or Swag, then go ahead, it's not gonna change me. :P Also, every popular word is overused to some extent. The word "like" is used in a LOT of sentences as a filler word when one is trying to collect their thoughts. Same with "uhhh and "ummm" haha. ;) So I say, take advantage of your first given right to say what you please!

Also, I feel that, although people use YOLO as an excuse of sorts to do stupid stuff, they would be doing those stupid things regardless of whether that "word" existed or not. It just seems more prominent now. Haha. Let them mess up. See where that gets them. Run your own life. :)

Annoying memes are annoying memes, they are popular and people will overuse them no matter what, so I really just don't care.

I sometimes use swag  but I hate when people use YOLO. The only time I ever use that is when "you obviously love Oreos" needs to be said. :P;)

Hm, well I do love Oreos...

It's hard not to love Octavia! And Swagger is pretty luck-based, those kinds of moves are usually pretty looked down upon in competitive Pokemon battling. ;)

I frequently edit my new posts to fix grammatical errors or to reword stuff, so sorry if I make it look like I'm forging my messages to change the meaning of anyone's replies or something.

Well, we don't have a problem. Despite everyone calling them "popular" words, it's quite the contrary. I asked all my mates at school and they got pissed for me even mentioning it   Plus, every forum I go on pretty much have the same opinion.

It seems more like an obscure word few people use.

There are so many things in the world that are worth getting upset about;

people saying 'yolo' and 'swag' just don't make my list.

And since I don't hang out with the 'swag fags' I don't see these terms get used a lot, so it doesn't bug me.

I have no idea what Yolo means. But I do think that swag has been overused.

Edit:

And a quick search of google tells me it means 'you only live once'... I think I'll stick with Carpe Diem.

Am I the only one who thinks of people referring to themselves as pirates when they use the word "swag"? It makes them look ridiculous... at least, the image it conjures up in my mind is pretty hilarious.
