Should one of the Mane Six get shipped?

Should one of the Mane Six get shipped? They've been on the show far enough, and the only ship we've seen was the result of a love potion and the wedding! What do you think? Who should be shipped with who?

I don't think the Mane 6 will ever get shipped officially.  None of them even have official sexuality.  It may take away from the show if they were to have one of the Mane 6 spend more time with their significant other, or to bring that significant other into the show.  It probably wouldn't fit that well, especially when they had to go all ELEMENTS OF HARMONYYYYY! on someone's butt.  They can't just make up a new element, the elements have been the elements for . . . forever!  :<  It would be illogical to make a new element, so the significant other would just sit there all like, "okay I'ma just try to not die."

Show-wise, the most likely to get into a relationship is Rarity, to me. That said, I can't think of anyone she'd go with, except maybe Fancy Pants.

That is a terrible idea.

I feel like it would really detract from the show if one of them was to be in a relationship.

Hasn't anyone seen the earlier generations when there was dating stuff?

Yeahhhhh... No. Keep the focus on friendship and fun and not on romance and drama. Only thing I support that has half a chance of being canon is Rarity and Fancypants, but I prefer the show the way it is. Keep the shipping for the fanfics, where I can read all the PinkieDash I want.

I think Fluttershy and Big Mac should go together. They both happen to be somewhat quiet and big Mac's strong so he could handle himself in a fight even though he seems gentle. Plus with both of them together it could make for an interesting episode seeing as Fluttershy is Applejacks friend while Big Mac is Applejacks Brother

As long as it dosen't change the tone of the show too much I don't mind it but even if it were to occur officially I don't think it would be a major focus of the series I could see another episode like the Grand Galloping Gala for example where Rarity was all ga ga over Prince Blueblood until she found out how much of a jerk he was, except the object of affections dosen't have to be a jerk this time around maybe just not feel the same or be completely oblivious.

Besides, if anything happened with Fluttershy I'd personally kill everything on my way to Hasbro corporation then kill everyone who works there. Even if they're working on other shows.

I think shipping should remain in the Fan Fic and fan art department. For one thing if they shipped one of the main six with anypony then the shippers who don't like said ship will rage. Also I don't think it is needed, all of the main six are still young and have no pressing need to find a stallion.

(Besides with the Stallion to mare ratio in Ponyville the Main Six are a lot of competition to deal with and if they do anything homosexual then the watch dogs will attack the show apart worse then they did with Derpy.)

No shipping. My Little Pony is a children's show. It's supposed to be about friendship, not hooking up.

 

Shipping would mess with the dynamics of the show.

As been mentioned. Rarity possibly being/getting involved with Fancy Pants is the closest the show should get to this. And if it does turn out actually happening, I don't feel it'd change the dynamics of the show really.

I was thinking that to, but then I realized that they'd be the most boring couple to watch (unless Big Mac learned to speak and fluttershy developed amazing social graces) and they would be so awkward together.

 

But then again, I'm going to say no on any couples for the show xP

 

Rarity has her occasional obsession with pony-heirs, which is enough pony-romance for me xP

I've never been a huge fan of shipping, so I don't think any of the ponies should be shipped. I can't see Rarity being shipped much unless some handsome stallion can put up with her pickiness xP

This. Despite the fact that I love a lot a little shipping of Rarity and SPike, if it ever DID happen, her with Fancypants would be the best possibility. But no, I don't think they should. Maybe as a joke or tread on subjects of love, but after that, not really.
