...and that got me wondering: what are your guy's favorite things to have during the holiday season?

I like most everything, but my personal favorite is my mom's peanut butter chocolates! They're like Reese's Peanut Butter cups, but waaaaaay better.


What about you guys? Is your thing candy canes? Hot chocolate? (Snowcones?)

I love making cookies. I put a reese's in cookie dough. Tastes amazing.

Other than that, I like to put ornaments on the Christmas tree, and do other Christmas-y things that I can't think of right now.

I like to decorate, putting up the tree and decorating it, etc. I also like running last-minute errands like picking up candy, etc. to have around for snacks. I like to have chocolates such as Pot of Gold and Turtles, and candy canes.

I love setting up roadslicks during the winter time. Me and a few of the neighborhood residents place a thick layer of snow on the road to turn into ice. Once its done we sit on the ground with a rope tied to our feet and a truck and gun down the road trying to see who can slide the fastest on our ice slip and slide.

I usually get two of these boxes from my relatives over the holidays and I have to say that they're the most delicious chocolate little morsels you'll get the chance to eat. They're always different and you have no way to know what you're going to get until you bite into it. You could get an icky coconut or a delicious strawberry jelly filled one  It's all a part of the fun.

The treats. Fudge, eggnog, fruit cake, candy canes, cookies, honey glazed ham, hot chocolate, candy in the stockings, some hot soup, and my most favorite of them all: Gingerbread houses.

The Eggnog. It's just the fact that when you first try it it tastes awful, but then you drink more of it, then you can't stop drinking it. Tastes like liquid bubblegum. I also enjoy the cookies and gingerbread. Even raw gingerbread dough tastes amazing.

Seriously though, I love egg nog and hot chocolate, Swedish meatballs, ham and a lot of other stuff my family has during Christmas. And here's a unique one: fried chicken wings from the Chinese place near my old house. They'll give you 50 of them for like $25 and we bring them to Christmas dinner. Spices things up a little.

One word: ting-a-ling.  Don't know what that is?  ONLY THE MOST DELICIOUS CHRISTMAS SNACK EVER!!!!!!!!  Specifically, it is little clumps of uncooked chow mein noodles covered in melted chocolate and peanuts, and oh my, it is divine!!!  Best Christmas snack ever!!!

The Starbucks holiday beverages are to die for. My favorites are the Gingerbread and Pumpkin Spice lattes, they're so good. On colder, rainier days, I prefer the Peppermint mochas (which are equally good, just considerably more chocolate-y). 

 

I also like a good steaming cup of hot chocolate as well.

That's not weird!!! We used to do that all of the time! We'd make a fire outside in our rock firepit, and roast smores whilst looking over the endless snow covered valleys below. That was always a cool (no pun intended) thing to do.

As the world's biggest mint junkie, this is a very good time of year for me. Peppermint bark, candy canes, and some kind of peppermint chocolate shake at Sonic are among my favorite things minty. I'm an eggnog fan, but I've been known to freeze a gallon so I can drink it into the Spring. This cold weather also begs for hot buttered rum.

 

Mmmm... buttered rum...

 

But do you know what the best thing of all is? Behold:

 

 

Meat and cheese assortments from Hickory Farms or Swiss Colony. Also good are some ordinary Town House crackers with cream cheese and pepper jelly or Wheat Thins with Marmite.

Oh sweet baby Celestia....I haven't had jalepeno jelly in ages!!! I love pepper jelly. I honestly can't think of anything that it goes good on except crackers like wheat thins and cream cheese.
