EveryPONY or EveryBODY?

I use both but mostly EveryBODY. Mostly because I'm addressing non-ponies like humans (brony or not).
When I address ponies, I use EveryPONY.

I'm incredibly inconsistent with which one I use in the fandom. I use everypony most of the time, but sometimes I just feel like saying everyone or everybody.

 

Of course I never use everypony in real life.

 

I don't really find it akward at all, and I don't really think its a mandatory thing, its just a cool little thing that is fine for me to see, but I'm not going to rant if someone doesn't use everypony when addressing a group of bronies.

 

In other words, I'm pretty neutral, I don't really have anything against either one, I use both within the fandom depending on my mood really so yeah .

I don't use the term 'anypony' unless I'm speaking to a Brony and even then it's sparing. That ring said I have installed a script changed on my browser to change any website to 'bronyspeak' lol.

 

But yes, like with any other show I occasionally make reference, like some said before about using 'shiny' (I term I also use).

Sure, everypony can be a fun thing to say, but it has its limits. It is clear that you wouldn't use it if you are talking to someone that is not in the fandom. Sometimes it slips out for me, but I try to use everyone instead of everybody or everypony. It's a general rule, really. You must use it in the correct context.

For me, like many others, its all about the context of the situation.

 

to non-bronies: everybody

to bronies: everypony

 

Serious discussion: everybody

Lighthearted discussion: everypony

 

I would've thought that this was pretty obvious, what is the point of saying everypony to someone to has never watched the show, they are just going to give you strange looks. I use everypony whenever there is an oppertunity, but I refrain from "spamming" the term; if I feel that I am saying it too much, I'll just stop saying it...

 

Since my sister knows that I am a brony, every so often I use everypony when talking to her (she finds it silly, but doesn't care at all)

 

To those who say "we're not ponies" in reply to this kind of topic:

Whenever I say everypony, its not that it makes me feel more like a pony, so to speak ( although we all know we want to :3 ) its more of the fact that, its a phrase used in a TV show that we like to watch, and we're using it; end of story. If you said it seems "fanboy-ish" like (somepony/body) else in this topic said, I would agree with you; but to me, thats a plus.

I prefer Everybody just because I find Everypony to be kind of unnecessary (plus not everyone is a pony, like Spike).

 

But I don't mind Everypony and I still use it occasionally while writing fanfiction and such, I just don't see why it's necessary.

So ive seen every eposode of my little pony and am still collecting the toys, every thing is perfect accept when i watch my little pony only one thing bothers me. The word every_pony as the characters keep saying it, it some times confuses me. i wish they would use the expression, every_body it just like us saying, Hello every_human. it would be quite anoying.

Not really. I mean, it is a clever play-on-words. I really don't have a problem with it. At first, I wasn't thrilled about them using it, but now I don't mind it.

Yea it just sometimes anoyes me that they al ways use Everypony when as most peolple would understan if they used every body
