    I am probably most like Applejack, because I have a big family, and spend my summers with them at our family farm. I'm usually pretty down-to-earth like her as well, and quite hard-working usually. I am also like Twilight Sparkle, because I love reading and learning, mostly about the natural sciences. I'm not nearly as studious as her though, I don't spend all my time doing those sorts of things like she does. So I would say I'm a mix of Applejack and Twilight, with a little bit of Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy as well. I'm not really anything like Rarity, though.

    Zebra! Earth. They seem the most natural, the closest to nature. I don't dislike unicorns and pegasi, I just like earth ponies a little bit more.

    Yes, now that you say it I agree about Suffolk Punch. It makes more sense. As for Dashie, your choices make sense as well. I just picked Quarter Horse because it's the first race horse that came to my head other than Arabian, but I defiantly agree with you there.

    I'm writing a fanfic about this right now. Only thing is they lose their wings, horns, and unnatural colors, so they are just normal horses. So no problems with government experiments there. However I can assure you what happens still isn't all that good for the ponies (it's quite a depressing fanfiction...)

    I've been trying to figure out what real horse breeds the ponies are, if they are a real breed at all. Now, they are called ponies, so we could assume they are all Shetlands or another true pony breed, but then we have ponies like Big Mac. Big Mac has feathering like a draft horse (even though some ponies have feathering too), and a docked tail, also like a draft horse. So it is pretty obvious Big Mac is some sort of draft horse (Clydesdale?). And now Applejack is his sister, so unless he is only a half-brother, we can assume they are the same breed; so Applejack must be a draft horse as well. So far I've decided: Twilight Sparkle: Shetland Pony. I believe her to be the only true pony of the mane six, Shetland ponies are known for intelligence, and the show centers around "ponies"; so no wonder the main character would be one. The only issue would be the fact that she is the size of the other six, however maybe she isn't a Shetland, and is another, larger, pony breed instead, all ponies are known for intelligence. Rainbow Dash: Quarter Horse. I used to think Arabian, but then I saw those Saddle Arabia delegates. Anyways, Quarter Horse are racing horses, "athletes." Rainbow Dash flies very fast, and the Quarter Horse is usually considered the fastest breed. Applejack: As I said above, a Clydesdale or other draft horse. Fluttershy: Mustang. Fluttershy loves animals and nature. So no wonder she would be a feral horse that lives in the wild. Fluttershy is shy, but has shown us in episodes like "Put your Hoof Down" she can be quite tough and can take care of herself, like a wild Mustang. Rarity: Andalusian. Andalusian horses are known for their beauty, however they can be quite tough as well. Pinkie Pie: I really have no idea? Some kind of stock horse? Some kind of pony? I really just don't know. Anyways, what breeds do you think the ponies are, or are similar to.

    Like, when you say darker, you mean like as dark as something like The Lion King? Right? No, I would not mind that at all. I think it's a good idea in fact. However I think killing of Celestia would be a bit predictable, maybe kill off a character that's not going to be as predicable. Like Zecora, I do love Zecora and I would probably be bawling by the end of the episode, but hey, that's not a bad thing, right? Or Luna. Again, I also like Luna quite a lot. Maybe Candace or Shining Armor, I don't know. Anyways, it has to be a character that we like; so her/his death scene is sad, but not a character that's very very important (like one of the Mane Six).

    I agree, Snips and Snails are really annoying...if any character was to be removed it would be them. If any character was to be changed, it would be Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash used to be my favorite character, but in these newer episodes she has been becoming a Mary Sue. I mean, it seems like arrogance is her only flaw, and most of the time it's not even a flaw. She shouldn't be-able to do everything, have her fail ​sometimes. Have her make mistakes. It would be much more believable, and she may possibly become my favorite character again (although I do still love AJ and Twilight).

    I completely agree with you on this! Rainbow Factory is probably my favorite MLP fan-fiction, not just my favorite horror fic, but my favorite of all MLP fan-fiction.

    What one do you prefer? Personally I much prefer Rainbow Factory. Cupcakes is alright, but it just seems like a bunch of gore. It disturbed me, I'll admit, but not much else. Rainbow Factory was more than just gore. For one thing, It had very subtle, serious, themes hidden into it; and I like stories that have real meaning to them. It was also in a way, psychologically chilling, not just plain out gore like Cupcakes. So what one do you like better? (Or none of them at all, I completely understand that as well.)

    I recently found out my little six year old cousin likes the show. Her favorite character is Applejack, so I gave her my Applejack figure. I didn't mind, she absolutely loved it!

    I always thought that part in The Crystal Empire where Twilight says there's not enough time for her to escape and she tells Spike to go; was her referencing that she was probably going to die, she needed Spike to leave her to die so he could save the rest of the ponies. That's why I literally began to tear up at that part. I don't know if that's true, it's just what I got out of it.

    Your probably right. My best guess is it will be ether Celestia or Cadence. Though Discord would be awesome (even though their probably not gonna do that...) And yes, Hasbro and the hub are very much so trolls!

    It's good to see people agree with this! I'm going to have to agree with it will probably be something like she has to choose between being an alicorn or being with her friends, and she will choose her friends in the end. Or something like that, at least. I looked it up, your right. However I have seen alicorn Twilight as well. Maybe both will appear in the finale?

    Now usually I would be completely opposed to something like alicorn Twilight. But what if somehow, Twilight was only an alicorn for one episode (season 3 finale?)? . I still don't really like the idea, but I wouldn't mind it. Hasbro could make all those toys they want. And the Mane Six would be the same as ever, it wouldn't ruin the show. If they do make Twilight an alicorn, I think this makes more sense than have her be an alicorn forever. I mean, every time the main characters have some sort of change in these types of shows, they always go back to normal in the end. What do you think?

    It has to be This Day Aria, simply because it introduced me to the show. I was at my friend's house, I knew she was a Pegasister but didn't really think much of it. We were watching random youtube videos, and she wanted to show me a "awesome evil song" from My Little Pony. I had nothing against the show, so we watched it. I listened to it and thought it was awesome, it reminded of of "Be Prepared" or other classic evil Disney songs (I was really into The Lion King fandom at the time, so no wonder I liked it so much). After that I really wanted to see the episode, so we went and watched it afterwards. Then I fell in love with the show.

    I've never really hidden the fact I like ponies. At first I was kind of shy about it, but I began to not really care after a while. And I'm glad I didn't keep it a secret, I met my best friend from being open about my love for MLP. I was still new to the fandom at the time, and was not very open about it. I was in art class and we had some time to draw. I was drawing Fluttershy. It was hard to tell it was Fluttershy though, because it was in my own real-horse style. Just a pegasus with lots of little animals running around her. The boy who sat across from me asked what I was drawing. "Oh, just a character from a TV show. A Pegasus." I said, showing him the drawing. "You should draw My Little Pony ponies." he said. "This is. It's Fluttershy." I told him, "In my own style" "Wow, you watch MLP too!" he said, and we began to have a discussion about it. We soon discovered we had more in common after that. And so we've been friends ever since.

    I fixed it! I noticed that soon after I posted it, and decided to add my reasoning as well! Like I said, I do like Rarity, just find her kind of hard to relate to though. She is still by far my favorite when it comes to character design.

    1. Applejack 2. Twilight Sparkle 3. Fluttershy 4. Pinkie Pie 5. Rainbow Dash 6. Rarity. I like them all! But if I had to rank them, this would be the order I would put them in. However Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy I like equally, so they could be flip-flopped. Applejack is at the top of the list simply because I can relate to her the most. She has always been my favorite pony. Twilight is a very close second, because I can relate to her very well, too. Fluttershy is so cute, and Pinkie is so random, I can't help but not love them! (They both have dark psycho path versions as well; Fluttershy in SHED.MOV and Pinkie in Cupcakes...yet another reason I like them...) Rainbow Dash is cool. She's a tomboy, like I am. I just see way to much of her. She becoming very overrated, so it kind of ruined the character for me. So she gets in 5th place. I do like Rarity, she's always been my favorite design-wise, I love how she wears her mane and her color scheme. However I can not relate to her character at all. I still love her though!

    I like her for the same reasons you do. She's smart. Not nerdy. Just smart, and that's a good quality to have. I find her quite easy to relate to. I think she's not as popular just because not as many people can relate to her, compared to, for example, Rainbow Dash. She is my favorite of the mane six (tied with Applejack), for those reasons and many more.

    Sure, why not. It is my sister's name, but hey, that's fine. Technically hers is Firewing Dragonfly, how on earth she got stuck with that awesome name and I got stuck with *shutters* Sparkle Glitter Butterfly, I will never know. Yay, someone who recognizes my true potential! Life as a changling is pretty boring, just cause Chrysalis is always bossing you around and stuff. And only lets us eat love...she banned ice cream!     I'm female. All drones are. There is a limited number of males in the colony, they all have closer resemblance to the Queen than they do to us. No, she does not care for us at all, only for herself; she is a horrible Queen! I mean, she let my mother name me Sparkle Glitter Butterfly, what kind of sick and twisted ruler would let that happen!
