Yeah; I don't see why EQG gets such a bad wrap as a movie

I thought it was pretty fun! I'm not interested in the EQG toyline, but as I've said time and time again;

I actually really like the movie and I can't wait for Rainbow Rocks   So what if they're humans, their still the same characters. Well technically, besides Twilight they aren't, but you know what I mean.

EQG being put on the main TV by my 13 year earlier this year was (one of) the catalysts for a conversation about the show with my daughter.

 

Staying on my morning coffee theme ... but with Equestria Girls Rarity ... and the other art fad that took over the fan club last night.

Does anyone ship Rarity with Twilight?

 

 

As much as I support any Mane Six pairing, yes.

 

 

I don’t usually ship Mane Six members together, but when I do, it’s Rarilight. If I were one to let subtext reign supreme, I would believe these two are already in a relationship. Right from the first episode, Rarity has been very touchy-feely with Twilight. Just go watch the end of “The Crystal Empire”, and tell me she doesn’t act rather tenderly towards Twilight there. She was the first to start singing, went to Twilight to raise her head up with a gentle touch to the chin when Twilight blushed, and put her hoof over Twilight’s as the train left. Sorry, Spike, you’re losing out to your adopted big sister.

 

Even if you ignore the subtext, it’s clear Rarity has a strong regard for Twilight. She noticed she was bothered in “Lesson Zero”, she worried about Twilight not having her crown in Equestria Girls, and most importantly, although she wanted to marry a prince and be a princess, she has never once expressed the slightest sense of jealousy that Twilight is now a Princess and not her. That’s pretty telling, because she was jealous of Fluttershy, and they’re probably the two who spend the most of their time together.

Well, thats because she feels for Twilight as a friend, so she touches her all the time in a playful way.

 

The reason why she does not touch Applejack as often is that she is scared of rejection. Rarity fears that Apples might react badly to her affections.

 

Think about it: Do you touch a very close friend more, or someone who you have a major crush on, but you do not know how that person feels for you?

 

 

Rarilight is second best ship though.

Though I didn't like the humanized mane 6 in Equestria Girls, Rarity was my favorite by far.

She created Tara Strong in one motion! Oh, and it was her idea to do the whole Cafeteria Dance which turned the tide for Twilight. So a case could be made that if not for Rarity, Celestia and co would be bowing to Sunset Shimmer now.
