As the fog of sleep clears from my brain, I feel like something is...off. Maybe it's the fact that I'm suddenly uncomfortable lying on my back. Maybe it's that I can read the calendar from across the room without my glasses. Or maybe it's my surprisingly high, scratchy voice as I hold up my arms and scream at the sight of hooves. My distress only intensifies as I jump out of bed and discover that I can't stand on two legs very well, and something that should be between them is unaccountably missing. I run around in a panic, breaking things and scaring my dog, until I tire out and start to grasp my situation. As well as I can grasp anything without hands. Minty green coat. Adorable blue and white mane and tail. And as I stumble toward the mirror, lovely amber eyes and a horn. Lyra. I'm the cutest, best pony in Equestria. The "SQUEE" emitting from my apartment would be heard all over the city. ...But wait a minute. I'm not in Equestria. I'm still here. How can I ever go outside again? There may be no safe place on Earth for a cartoon pony, even one who likes humans. And what about my old human self? People will think I'm vanished or dead. I can hole up here for a while enjoying my wonderful pony body, but it's an untenable situation. Maybe I should pray to Celestia to teleport me to Ponyville where I belong. But I don't even like Celestia. xD Oh, well. Time to do some sittin'. And start surfing for work-at-home jobs. First thing I'd do is to enjoy flight xP It's like almost everyones dream to fly right? And to fly at such a high speed using RD's wing power would be so insane. Afterwards i would then realize that im Rainbow Dash. Then i would realize that Rainbow dash is me. Probably for a couple of days i would love it, but then i would realize that Rainbow Dash might be ruining my life,and my 4.0 gpa then i would go and tell twilight to fix this and please make it go back. After that I would probably shout down to my parents in the manliest voice I could that I couldn't go to school for some reason (migraine or whatever). After coming to terms with what happened, I would probably spend most of my time complaining (whining) to people about by situation, and they might actually listen to me because I'm Rarity. And then I would get pissed at myself for not having Twilight as my favorite pony. Rarity is best pony. Enjoy violent fan fiction? After I got over the initial shock, I would probably try to figure out how to explain this to people I know, and then I would just wonder whether I should be living among humans or ponies. Also, if I were Luna, I would probably worry about how I was supposed to control the moon and whatnot. Real men don't need signatures... or legitimate usernames. I mean, is it really going to have such a huge and immediate impact on your life, more so than any other kind of suddenly finding yourself in someone else's body? I mean, I know it's a shift but when compared to the responsibilities of trying to live someone else's life, the worries about what happened to them while you're in their body, the worries about what might be happening to your own body, or your friends and family back home... having slightly different "hardware" seems like the least of your problems.
