Season Four Premiere Predictions *SPOILER*

Back then, there was a tweet by Meghan McCarthy, saying that the Season Four premiere will continue off with the whole "Twilicorn" thing.

 

If I were to sum up a guess, it'll probably a two-part special that has Twilight save her friends from whatever threat the writers pit her against, namely by sacrificing her wings and princesshood. That, I wish to see, because with those wings as symbols of her princesshood, that means Twilight will spend too little time studying and hanging out with her friends, and too much time bogged down by politics. The only way she could be the old Twilight again is if she sacrifices her wings and immense magical power, possibly to save her friends from some evil threat the writers are probably trying to come up with for her.

In Season 4 Twilight will become an evil overload and rule Equestria with an iron hoof! Celestia will be forced to stop the evil that she created.

 

That would be an unexpected direction for the series to go.

If that is the case i so wish for that to happen because Twilight being an Alicorn has taken away her innocence. I know the show's writers are clever enough to find a way to make it seem believable. The entire mood and feeling of the show will be ultimately changed if Twilight being an Alicorn is permanent. I said that i would like the whole "Discord is actually Starswirl The Bearded" to be real. Starswirl the Bearded can either appear as an antagonist or protagonist. We would need to know more about him before we can use him but it would be nice to see him involved with that process. Maybe he never finished the spell because he wanted to see if anyone could write magic as good as him? Or maybe he wanted to see if anyone could catch on to what he was trying to do. The only problem is just why being a princess is Twilight's "destiny". She could be anything she wanted to be. Teacher, Scientist, Magician but she has to be a princess? Technically Twilight was already in the Royal Family because of her brother. Cadence being her sister in law now and what not. I want Twilight to lose the wings and title but only because she decides that it is best. Not only because it is the only way to save (whatever the writers can come up with). I don't like how political they have made the show honestly. Its why Season 1 was really my favorite. What do little girls and their moms care about Empires? They should focus on how they can continue to expand on the characters stories and create interesting new ones.

My theory:

 

Something happens that changes Twilight back into a unicorn, because the Alicorn thing has some sort of a catch towards it.

 

If this is so, some Bronies might come back.

 

I also sense, either a new villain or some older villain, most likely Chrysalis or Discord, who could possibly be not that reformed as he is showing, will return.

well i would want it to start with a few days after coronation twi wakes up in a cold sweat she been having the same dream ever since we became a princess where she face and shadowy figure and calls on her friend for help but her friend so to the shadowy figure's aid instead then the figure comes in to the light and it her old unicorn self and she smiling villainously . !!!BAM!!!

It might be a direct follow-up of the last episode. Twilight is checking in to her new room in Canterlot with the rest of her friends. They probably don't stay there long, just so that twilight learns about being a princess and her duties as such. It may be a while, or just a few episodes before they get back to ponyville, but that's because they need to focus on the importance of twi being this important, highly-regarded role model and the responsibility she must accept (a la shreck 3) even though she never agreed. 

They could just have some random new villain come into play and have her new powers blast him/her to meaty chunks, but that's just another idea.

Well it was mentioned before that there was a tweet made by a developer that said the premier of S4 is going to be like part 2 and 3 of S3 in a way. I take that to mean it'll build off Twilight becoming a princess and learning what she'll be required to do now, however I think that after learning about this she'll realize she'll have less time to spend with her friends and ask to become a Unicorn again.

 

Thats my speculation, but really its anybody's guess. However I can't help think that it somehow makes sense especially considering it apparently is like part 2 and 3 of the 3 part episode consisting of episode 1 and 2 of S4 and S3's finale.

 

Also I guess that means the S4 premier is a 2 parter, not that thats big news considering all the other season premiers have been .

Why is everyone insisting that Twilight would have to move away from Ponyville? Celestia said there would be time for that later, when Twilight asked about books to learn about being a princess. I suspect Alicorn later could be years or decades. I see season four starting with Twilight still living in the library, but nervous in thinking her friends will treat her differently now. Celestia and Luna have things covered from the castle. Twilight will be their field princess, ready to face any adversary that might make itself known. On a lighter note, The Great and Powerful Trixie will be torn between hating Twilight, and worshiping her! She might make a play to be Twilight's right hoof pony!

It seems to me that people don't give Celestia enough credit. She clearly knows what twilights friendships mean to her and would never have made her a princess if it would mean leaving or alienating her from her friends. Not to mention, Tara revealed in an interview that twilight would remain in Ponyville and continue having adventures with her friends in season 4.

I'm looking forward to a new villain. And maybe Twilight would too. Once she's settled down, she's got to be eager to have an opportunity to demonstrate to Celestia, Equestria, and herself that she's truly earned her new-found power and status. And to, you know, show off.

 

Think of all those historical events Twilight must have read about where Celestia and/or Luna are fighting dragons, founding cities, creating new spells, and ruling over the fate of the Equestria. Despite all she's done, Twilight can only have expected to, at most, play a shieldbearer role at such events. Not any more. Now she's got her hooves on the levers of power. Now she's the one who can make big, important decisions.

 

So we get ourselves a scenario where Twilight's inexperienced, has impressive new powers, is desperately eager to prove herself, and has just been handed some big chunk of responsibility. So I'd like to see her completely and utterly fail at it as she tries to tackle it all by herself. As she imagines a true Princess would. Of course, in the end, she'd still need her friends to help her out in dealing with the crisis de jure. While this show doesn't really have Big Damn Heroes moments, this would be the time for one.

Probably Twilight, will say that she can't fulfill the duties that come with becoming a Princess. Having to run Canterlot, and do the duties, etc. Season 4 might probably start out with Twilight seeing Trixie again at Canterlot, then Trixie has to worship her.

Joking aside, Its safe to say that it will be a 2 part episode, and I don't think that Twilight will revert back to being an unicorn considering that the show made Twilight's coronation a big fucking deal.

Season 4 may start out on Twilight having trouble taking up royal duties as the newest princess (probably a princess of Ponyville which would soon become a kingdom). Or it could involve the pony games since that was kind of left hanging.

Maybe Twilight will still be in her library or the scene will start where we left of with Twilight flying off.

 

As for what will happen.

I have two scenarios I am considering. One is already been said and more probable in my opinion, but the second one is more of my idea, it is NOT official and is just something that I think would be interesting if they did this.

 

Scenario 1:

Twilight has to learn about the responsibilities of being a princess. She is given a royal task. And she fails. She must learn that being a princess is not easy and that she still has a lot to learn about herself and friendship.

 

Scenario 2:

A new Villan appears that has come back to haunt Princess Celestia. It turns out that Twilight wasn't the first attempt at making a princess. There was another faithful student who was in everyway just like Twilight. She had freinds and knew about the magic of friendship. But something happened, and her heart that was once full of kindness, is now filled with hatred. What happened is unkown, it may not or may be said latter. After fighting her or whatnot Twilight realizes that being a princess isn't as easy as it seems. That there are responsibilities and that one must be careful not to stray from themselves least they be met with the same faith.

My guess is that she'll have a hard time about being a princess and what she needs to learn with her new responsibility while at the same time spending less time with her friends, being detached away from them.

The finale to season 3 is most likely to be sort of like a continuation to season 4's first two episodes as Megan McCarthy has tweeted about it xP

 It's a few days after the coronation of TS, and it is the Equestrian games. He friends and her reunite and go to The Crystal Empire to watch  (insert Spike saying :Oh, ew, girls cry only after one week of not seeing each other") . Suddenly, a threat is dicovered lurking behind the scences. Twilight tries to face the villian on her on her own but ends up nearly failing when her friends come to the rescue. The finale ends with The Equestria games and Twilight saying that she may not be quite ready yet since she decided to take the villian on by herself, and she lowers herself to the title Lady of Ponyville.

That, I want to believe as well.

 

Besides, as much as I enjoyed the Season Three finale, I just hated the way it ended with Twilight becoming a princess, all while I wait until October or November for Season Four to premiere, with nothing but the Equestria Girls spin-off and the comics to tide me over for a little while. The only hope I'm going to cling on to for the time being is McCarthy's tweet describing how the Season Four two-part premiere will be the aftermath of Twilight's coronation, and the belief that it'll end with Twilight saving her friends at the expense of her princesshood. But for now, I'm stuck with the comics and Equestria Girls (and whatever else is on the Hub channel, like the upcoming third season of Transformers Prime).

The ghost of Starswirl the Bearded, perhaps? He probably possesses Twilight's body to exact his revenge on her for finishing his spell. Either that, or he was waiting for Twilight to finish his spell, so that he could possess her body for control of her newly increased magic, like the demons who possess mages in Dragon Age: Origins. And, through whatever means she could find, she gets rid of both her wings and immensely-powerful princess-magic to exorcise Starswirl out of her body.

 

EDIT: Off-topic, but I think I noticed something about myself. I'm actually okay about humanized ponies in the upcoming spin-off, Equestria Girls, if not excited, even though I was disdainful toward Princess Twilight, and hope that she reverts to a unicorn in the Season Four premiere. If I were to sum up a reason why, it's probably because of the pony-drought we now have to experience, and as a desperate little brony, I would take up anything to help tide me over until Season Four comes out.

 

Here's hoping the writers listen to us and revert Twilight back into a unicorn for the S4 premiere, though.
