I'd say a hilarious ripoff of My Little Pony but the ripoff is based off of the Big Bang Theory.  Where Twilight and her friends have to live their lives as, lonely roommates and learn about bucking science.

Everyone's already mentioned this, but Daring Do needs a spinoff. Also, Doctor Whooves. Also, we'd all like to see more of the CMC and the princesses.

 

But what we really need is a show where ponies piloting giant robots fight to the death.

Okay, so here's the idea... We have the Mane 6, humanized, and put it in a high school setting...

Well, we could have Lyra traveling to the Land of Ooo.  (although that's really more a crossover than a spinoff.)

I really like the idea of showing Celestia and Luna in their early days/pre moon banishment.

My MLP spinoff idea would be, My Little Pony: Baby Adventures.

 

Now it wouldn't be anything like G3.5. It would still take place in the FIM universe and have all of the characters in it. It would look at every character, mane 6, CMC, Side-characters, and background characters and it would just be small adventures they had as babies. It would be like an Animaniacs cartoon. It just looks at one or more character in a 5 to 10 minute cartoon.

Twilight and her first magical outburst.

 

Pinkie Pie wants a cookie.

 

It would be a hard to come up with episodes for every character, but I still think it could work in someway.

Many of us have expressed some skepticism about the rumored "Equestria Girls" spinoff where humanized versions of the Mane 6 go to high school. I hope to Celestia they can come up with something better than that, but until we know for sure, all we have is our imaginations.

 

So let's use them! Let's say you have to create your own My Little Pony spinoff. What would it be about? Who stars in it? Would the art style be the same? Throw your own ideas in here.

 

I would make my spinoff about Lyra and her research on humans. One of the Mane 6 appears occasionally, but it's mainly about her and Bon Bon and some other background ponies. The art/animation style and voices are all the same.

 

Honestly, if I was in charge of Hasbro's checkbook, I'd throw money at Pony-in-a-Box and get the Vinyl Scratch Tapes officialized. Bring an animation studio into the mix and do a 'WKRP in Cincinnati'-like sitcom out of it.

 

Either that or do a series on the Canterlot Guards as a police procedural. Heh. Oh, there's a joke only UK Bronies are going to get. The Pegasus 'Flying Squad'...

Twilight runs Equestria.  The Mane 6 are retired.  The CMC and three other ponies are the new elements of harmony -- generation 4.5.

 

So long as they dont do a pinkie elmyra and the brain.

An adventure series taking place during Luna fall with the past elements and it could be more action oriented and there's your teenage pony show.

I agree that a look into Celestia and Luna's past would be interesting.  'Royal Recollections' or something like that.  

 

The frontier days of Ponyville could be interesting.  Fighting off timber wolves and who knows what else from the Everfree forest, getting the weather to cooperate without all the fancy Cloudsdale facilities up and running, seeing the seeds of what would grow into fixtures in the town we know.

 

An urban setting like Manehattan would be interesting too, but I don't know if it would be a good idea given the level of innocence these shows must stick to.  Denser populations lead to more unhappiness, and why bring that into a kid's show even if it would open up a lot of new material?

 

A Cloudsdale show would be a lot of fun, given how little we've seen of it.  A few pegasi and maybe a unicorn and an earth pony they've befriended.  The unicorn has a spell of some sort that lets her keep up with her flying friends, while perhaps the earth pony has a flying contraption like Pinky's?

I'll do a show about the cutie mark crusaders. It could be generation 4.5. They got their cutie marks, Applebloom's being a fried apple fritter, Sweetie Belle's being a microphone, and Scooaloo's being a chicken, kinda of a shout out to the fandom.

 

They serve under Princess Twilight, but she's she's still living in ponyville, kinda like a consular. Rainbowdash is the new Spitfire, Rarity owns a boutique in Ponyville, Fluttershy is the main animal trainer in Equestria, Pinkie Pie is the top party pony, and Applejack owns Sweet Apple Acres.

 

 

All the ponies seen in their school (Snips and Snails, Princess Tiara, etc).  

 

The cutie mark crusaders go on all these adventures, and find love along the way.

 

The title shall be My Little Pony: The Adventure Continues.
