I just got done watching the fan made animation Snowdrop by Silly Filly studios. It was one of the best fan made animations to date, has a great story. Double Rainboom has some competition for best fan made video this year. If you missed the livestream of it on Brony State the creators have said that they will be putting it on youtube. I would highly recommend you go watch it. Then please leave a comment here about it.

I haven't written a review yet, but all I can say is AWESOME! This team worked so hard to animate the short story, and it's all worth it. It's believable, cute, happy, and sad. Snowdrop may be a fanmade character, but she's quickly approaching as one of my favorite characters. She's well-designed and very thorough as a character. It's one of the best fan-made animations yet. Watch it!

I watched the premiere and I gotta say... it was pretty good .

It's a short story but it is told extremely well. Snowdrop is a well thought out character and just all around lovable. I hope the fandom keeps her around for a while. And the music ; nothing super special but it does set the mood for the scenes.

I watched the premiere on Bronystate this morning and well.....I'm lost for words. The feels, emotion, liquid pride and even a little bit of being emotionally attached to Snow Drop. Especially in the scene in my opinion that stole the show (spoilered for anyone who hasn't seen it yet):

 

 

The scene involving Snow Drop on the cloud and feeling upset over the project really hit me hard. Hearing her speak while literally being on the verge of tears and crying got me a bit weepy, especially when she does the wish: 

 

"I wish, I hope, I dream, I pray."

 

Those words felt to me that this was her "hour of need". I've been in the same situation before many times during my life and I could totally relate to what she was going through at the time.

 

But with her back against the wall and the odds stacked against her she prevailed through in the end, abit a sad ending.

 

 

Overall, this fan animation project has to be one of the best I've ever seen. If you haven't yet seen it, do so, but bring a box of tissues along just in case the liquid pride starts to show.

That was such a very good plot and storyline.

This is essentially the post I made in the MLP YouTube thread concerning Snowdrop, but here's basically my review ya'll:

 

"Snowdrop" is simply one of the most beautiful vids produced by this fandom ever.  It is... a testament to all the good that's been produced by this fandom, to what this show has inspired bronies to produce and achieve if they just set their minds to making something so pure and good.  The animation is stunning, the voice work phenomenal, but most of all, "Snowdrop" in and of itself is simply beautiful, and in this brony's humble opinion, a landmark achievement in the brony fandom.  My hat's off to SillyFillyStudios in every sense of the word.

 

As mentioned by the crew in their BronyState interview, SillyFillyStudios is both going to continue a series they just started starring Discord and Chrysalis as sort of a comedic odd couple, and will be aiming to release this summer "Fall of the Crystal Empire," which sounds like it is going to be amazing!  Show your support everypony to this fantastic team of bronies and pegasisters and subscribe right now. 

 

I got a good feeling this is gonna be the best off season ever for fanmade projects!    Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna watch it again...

The animation feels a bit flat at times, but it's definitely remarkable. Too bad I had to watch it without any sounds thanks to my stubborn computer :c

 

If what my friends told me about the story is true, then this thing deserves five gold star.

Snowdrop was flat out incredible. It far surpassed my expectations of what I thought it would be, and it had some nice touches that I wouldn't have anticipated, such as Snowdrop's interaction with Luna. All in all fantastic, and I look forward to seeing anything else that this group produces in future. So many feels...

My heart it aches for poor Snowdrop. The pain she must've gone through as a filly until she found her calling. I feel bad for Luna, since that was probably shortly before she became Nightmare Moon since Celestia said that it had been 1000 years. If only she could have seen her one last time I'm sure that they would've had the most joyous time in the world. I cried very manly tears for that video, and that's saying much since I don't cry very often. May your spirit live on in the beautiful days of winter our dear Snowdrop. You brought joy and happiness to all the ponies of Equestria and made all us bronies have so many feels.

Just watched it myself. A few online bronies told me about it & I wanted to wait till I get home just to see it~! Spoiled my reaction for safety purposes, but all I can tell y'all is get a giant tissue box. You will need it!

 

 

So much liquid pride for this! Literally crying right now as I type. The ending was the saddest ending I've seen in a long time. To be quite honest, I got a bit confused in the middle as to why Celestia and Luna were different, until I realize it was actually a flashback story. Snowdrop is an amazing character & I'm a huge fan of her beautiful cutie mark.

This is one of the greatest fan-works I have seen.

This clip actually made me want to cry. Not many things can do that. On fact I almost cried. I was on the brink of it.

Most of that can be that the character is relatable. There are times when you're back is against the wall and you feel hopless. This sort of story always gets me emotionally and I always root for the character.

The ending was one of the saddest thing I've seen in a while.

 

For those who don't know the flower in the end is symbolic. It's a Galanthus flower AKA the snowdrop flower. It's one of the few flowers that bloom in the winter.

That was a good hidden reference.

 

Also I have been questioned about the final snowflake and I think I know what it is. We already established that Pegasai can make snowflakes as seen in the episode Sonic Rainboom. I think what Celestia and Luna are doing is something ceremonial. Starting the fall of snowflakes with an original snowflake. The last snowflake is symbolic like releasing someone's ashes. It's when you remember someone but it's time to let them go.

It's jar to explain but that's my idea in that.

 

Anyways it was a great fan episode and I really enjoyed it.

Whatever work they come up with next I will watch.

It wasn't sad, it wasn't clever. Sorry.
It reminded me of a few different stories to tell you the truth.
Probably a mix between Hoops & Yoyo's christmas special, and something I have read in the past (if I remember the title I will add it.)

 

And as for the animation... yes one of the best, but nowhere near "Double Rainboom"

So sad...It was amazing and I really want to see more Snowdrop. I truly do. She is an amazing and well thought out character. She is relatable, having to deal with situations that we all have dealt with. And I was so sad seeing that it was a flashback. And that ending...everything from the point when she got her cutie mark really hit me hard. It is so sad...so bittersweet. I am on the verge of tears as I type this. O wait, here they are. Its so sad. I sincerely hope we see more from this character. I really do.

That was truly incredible. Such a sad tale, and that ending almost make me tear up. I wish I know more about the time that passed between that final scene and when snowdrop had died though. How many snowflakes did she make? How long has it been since she died? etc.
